"My grandmother moved to Hawthorne Inn. I like that it's a small facility. It's very home-like, and it seemed to be a perfect fit for my grandma. They have scheduled activities. Every time I've gone in there, it's been very clean. Her room is big. It's not hospital-like, it's more of a home-like. The staff has been great. All of them are expensive, so it's the hard part."

"I toured Azalea Park, and that was my favorite. We went in right around lunchtime. The dining room was excellent. As soon as you walk in the door it is to the left, and it's big. On their menus they show you an example of the food. They make the plates and cover them with Saran wrap and put them on a tray so you can actually see the food you're going to be eating, which I thought was very impressive. The apartment was excellent, too. It had everything you would want. It was just really good. The people were very friendly, explaining what kind of things they offer and the events they do and that kind of thing. I think everything is supplied but a microwave. Their apartment had one of those 24-inch stoves, but it was still a four-burner. The refrigerators were full-sized. They will do your laundry, they will come in and clean your apartment, and they will change your linens. They have a laundromat there if you want to do them on your own. They have a game room, an exercise room, and a fitness room. The game room has a pool table and different tables where you can do jigsaw puzzles and things like. They have card games and game nights and that kind of thing going on. The building was very clean and very organized. The grounds were beautiful. They serve three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner."

"The Grace Manor at Lake Morton is the place I would have put my husband if I had a choice. I liked everything about it, and I liked the fact that they had a flat fee and I would know exactly what I was paying every month. The facility was very clean and I just love it. I saw rooms where they played bingo and they did crafts. I saw the lunchroom too and basically, the whole facility. I saw a 1-bedroom and it was very large. I toured the memory care and it's a locked facility. I visited this place and was so impressed that I didn't go to any more places after."

"We toured Lake Morton Senior Living, which was very clean. We ate lunch there, and the food was delicious. I viewed some of the apartments, which were very nice and reasonably priced. They have activities there, and the apartments are very roomy."

"Our tour experience with Water Edge of Lake Wales was very good. They explained the place to me very well. I saw a studio apartment with a kitchenette that was unfurnished. So, you have to furnish it. The amenities were great. They had a library, a hobby shop, and the place was very clean. It was like a luxury hotel."

"I have been here for about 5 years. I love what I see. I just love the people who care for me. I love the amenities. I love how clean and smooth things are ran. They do a super job of caring for me. The food is great wonder & Phillip are amazing. The whole staff are wonderful. I have my POA distribute cards all over about the community. Everyone is just super even the higher up. Daisy is doing a wonderful job with activities. I respect everyone here. The Club at Haines City is a great place to live. I love Vicki. If you are thinking of sending your loved one here you will not be disappointed. It is wonderful and great here. It is clean."

"I love The Canopy at Walden Woods. It was beautiful, bigger, and brighter. You are welcomed when you get there. The staff was excellent. They were very informative, and they showed me several different rooms. They have different dining aspects. They have transportation services to different places. They seem to have more amenities. They play cards. They introduced me to a couple of people who do cards. The residents seemed to really like the place. The place was clean. They have a beauty and barber shop, an enclosed lanai, and a garden. Everything seemed in order."

"My husband and I liked the Osprey Heights Gracious Retirement Living. We had lunch there and met some people living there who were very friendly. I wasn't really comfortable with the girl who took us around so that's why I wanted to go back and see the person who we had talked to one other time when we just drove by there. I felt like he might give us a little bit more information. I think she said she was afraid to overload us with a lot of information. Another problem is that they also didn't have assisted living. Independent living is the only thing they have. We did feel comfortable there, though, and I could have easily moved there, as long as it was something that wasn't expensive and we could afford it. The place was nice and clean, the food was good, and everybody that we talked to was very nice. What they offered, I thought, was very nice, too. They even had a kitchen there if you wanted to go and make something special. I also felt comfortable there. We had lunch and I thought the food was very good. They served us well."

"My brother-in-law was at Twin Creeks for respite. They just really took good care of him and let us know everything that was going on, if there's a problem they call. The room was very clean, very nice, and had a good layout. The food smells good but we never tried it. There were activities, but he didn't participate. They're a little higher than a couple of places, but there are not too many places to take him."

"We toured Savannah Court of Brandon. Everything was nice. It's a little bit older but it was in very good condition. The rooms were nice. They had a hair salon for women. They had physical therapists that came in there too. We didn't eat there. It's a nice facility, and the people were very nice."

"My mom has been placed at Aldea Green. It's very nice. They do a good job keeping the grounds nice. When you first walk in, there's an area where residents can gather to talk or read the paper or whatever they want to do, and there's always people there. In other places I've gone into you don't see residents around as much, but you always see residents when you go to Aldea Green, and they all seem to be very happy. The staff is great. They take very good care of my mom. They're very attentive. They're always very pleasant. They go in and check on her very frequently. If she is not out doing one of the activities, they'll go in and check on her to see if she's okay. And if she doesn't show up for a meal, they go in to find out why she's not there and if she wants to go down. They're very attentive. My mom goes to bingo, they do crafts, and they have entertainment come in twice a week. They'll take them to stores. The dining room is very nice. It's like walking into a restaurant. My mom seems to like the food. I've only had one meal there and it was good. And they make it part of their job to know every single resident by name. Every one of the staff knows my mom by name. "

"Hawthorne Inn of Brandon was very nice. It was easily accessible. They offer transportation, and they bring the provider to the residents. You don't have to worry about picking up your loved one. The doctor comes there. They've got programs, activities, and field trips. The two staff members I met were fine, but I didn't meet a lot of staff as I did at the other place."
