"Sun City Senior Living is a lot like what Mom is used to. She would have her own apartment, like where I have her now. Normally, a lot of them have just a bedroom, and Mom would feel like she is in a nursing home setting. The apartment, like the one-bedroom which my mom has now, would be more comfortable for her. Her furniture that she has can go in there and fit the same way. It's about the same square footage. They're just as roomy and situated as where she is now, which is really nice. They have a dining room right there when you walk in. It is almost like a cafeteria, but it is nice. They do the same kind of activities, similar to what she's used to now, which I thought was great, and outings. I loved the transportation. When she has to go on outings and such, I do not have to accompany her. If she has a doctor's appointment, I could just meet her there, because I work. There's an outdoor screened area where they can sit like a large lanai. The outdoor needs a facelift, like the patio flooring has cracks, which is normal. It happens with age. It needs to be sealed and repainted. Other than that, the place was very clean, and everything else was taken care of well. They have the podiatrist there. The rent fee is a comfortable amount. It's very reasonable for an assisted living facility, as far as I'm concerned, with what I've been seeing. They accept Medicaid. I was very happy. Jennifer was wonderful. They were very much like a little family there. It is a smaller facility. It looks like they have enough staff per resident, and that's great. There's always going to be someone around if she needs it, yet she could be on her own. They have a separate area where, if the family wants to come and bring some kind of food and spend a holiday with them, they have that. They also allow pets. The rooms are perfect, the bathrooms and all that, but the place needs a little bit of a decor change or just a little update."
