"Brookdale New Port Richey was the best one that we saw for what we had expected. We liked the facility itself. It was clean and well kept. We saw a one-bedroom apartment on the second floor and we saw a large studio on the first floor. We liked the large studio a whole lot better than the one-bedroom. The only thing that we didn't like about it was the fact that it didn't have any kitchen facilities, but we could put a refrigerator and a microwave in there. The grounds were really nice. The people were very nice. We liked the fact that it wasn't so regimented as far as the dining facility was concerned. There was a two-hour interval that you could eat in."

"Everything about The Cottages of Port Richey was first rate. The facility was very nice and the rooms were very nice. The staff members that I met with were quality people. The residents were very nice and very friendly, but we had difficulty in dealing with the pricing. I didn't see anything much worth noticing activity-wise. The meal I had was high quality. The building was a bit on the aged side, but it was very cozy and very comfortable."

"I normally do not give reviews. (I am older) This place was outstanding before Covid and they are even better during the pandemic. They have gone above and beyond what I could have ever expected. They have held such a high standard of care, even if it means cutting good staff that do not follow guidelines. Which seems to upset some people, not this guy! They have done a fabulous job keeping everyone safe and their record shows that. Keep up the great work! "

"Angels Senior Living at The Reserves Of Idlewild was a newer facility. I like the room for my wife. They were repainting everything. I like the lady who took me on a tour there, and it looked like they had everything that we needed. They even set us up with a preferred rehab specialist there, so it was pretty amazing. They had a rehab center. They had three meals a day. They had different levels of care. They had a bus to take people around, a beauty shop, entertainment, and activities. It was a modern facility."

"I found Keystone Place at Terra Bella, and it's really wonderful. My mother has been there for about a month. It's beautiful. It's bright and cheery. What really makes it stand out is that the staff is fabulous. They're caring. They really get to know the residents there. They're just very caring and understanding of their conditions. They try to account for the good days and bad days. My mom is eating very well and she says, "It's good. I've actually tried a few things, and it's been very tasty. They're good." My mom has to have a soft mechanical diet. They usually cut up her food before they bring it to her, so just a lot of things that are easy, easy to manage. There's an outside therapy company that serves people in the community, and my mom's been getting therapy through them. I think they decorated pumpkins for Halloween. One day there were some jokes on the board. I guess the residents in there were going over the jokes because I asked my mom, "Oh, look at these jokes." She was like, "Oh, we did those this morning." She has a nice window that faces out to a nice nature area. There's a little water retention pond and trees, so I've set up a bird feeder for her. The birds haven't started coming out because we just got it out, but she has a nice view from her room. It's very clean. It's pretty like hardwood looking floors in it. The only downside is the rooms are a little small. I understand why, because they don't spend a lot of time in the rooms. They try to keep them out in the commons areas, so they can keep them engaged during the day. Then at night when they go in the room to sleep, they don't really need that much room. We did go outside. There's a little patio area for memory care that the residents can go out on, and there are chairs out there. It is to give them a chance to be out in the fresh air without wandering off. They don't go out there without someone with them. It was nice having a little patio. They have a nice sitting area where they watch TV, and they have a popcorn machine and different things they provide. They have some of those mechanical dogs like comfort animals that some of the residents really enjoy. There's a community bird feeder area, where you can go out and watch the birds. She really likes that. I think a lot of residents use it because a lot of times when I drive by, there will be people that take their dog out there and walk their dogs by. There's a bench and people will be sitting on the bench. I think that little area for them to go out and be outside is nice. The staff is amazing. If I need to get my mom in the car, I can set her up with the person at the desk. They'll sit there and keep her engaged until I can run, get the car, and pull up. They're just really, really great. All the staff members are friendly, and a lot of the residents are friendly. I've met a couple of the residents when they're walking their dogs. It's just overall a very cheery, happy place."

"Vitality Living Hudson was great. It was very clean, very friendly, and very nice with great staff and great amenities. The lady was very welcoming. She walked us through and explained to us about the place. She was very helpful. They have a pool, a salon, and they are dog-friendly. The rooms were very nice. They're very spacious and looked very clean, too."

"My Mom has been a resident at Tampa Gardens since 2012. Initially she lived in the Assisted Living Area. She is now living in the Memory Care Area . The staff have been great with my Mom. Rosamand gets her to do things that Mom won't to do for me. She also gets Mom to transfer from her chair to her wheelchair. She gets Mom to walk to the bathroom instead if taking the wheelchair. Mom does it happily for her. Rosamand challenges Mom and Mom trusts her. Staff are always willing to support Mom and keep her safe. They manage her medications, provide three meals a day and monitor intake. The staff also complete Moms ADL's and if there are any issues they will let me know and alert the nurse practitioner. I have been very pleased with the care and support Mom gets at Tampa Gardens."

"We toured Chapman Manor. It was a beautiful place. My dad and his wife like it. The people were very kind. It was a very nice place. They have a church service there. They have a karaoke night, they have bingo and a puzzle area. The staff was very nice. We had lunch with them."

"It has just been redone. It is a very nice facility in a quiet area, and the rooms are very nice. It is very pleasant there, and the staff is extremely nice. They have an exercise class, which my aunt does. She plays the organized games, and she participates in the activities there."

"Brookdale Northdale was a pretty nice place. There's nothing wrong with it. The room was a good size. They have a little place where you can walk outside in a garden area. They have a little activity center. The staff was good. It's a little bit better than the other places as far as the price."

"As far as location, Brookdale Carrollwood would have been better for my mother. The rooms were all very nice, and the staff seemed to be very accommodating. They offer a little bit of physical therapy and laundry. They have game rooms, gyms, and card rooms where they can do activities, there is also a hair salon, and you can also have a pedicure done if you wanted to. They have doctors who come in weekly just to check out the patients if they need extended care. We did not eat in the facility. However, we did see the menus on a 5-week schedule so the foods are not repeated for 5 weeks, and if some residents do not want what the main meal was for the day, they can always get a hamburger, a sandwich, a soup, or whatever. "

"Not the newest facility around, but after having my aunt stay and move from a few other places in Tampa in the same price range I can say their care is amazing. It is hidden off a main drag which I appreciate for security and ease of visits on my way home from work. Inside was always kept clean, and staff was nice. They really helped with financial struggles we were having. "
