"We toured Vitality Living Hudson. The two people who walked us around were very nice, and the layout was nice. The apartments felt more like homes than a facility, so that was nice. They were wonderful, and they kept in touch with me."

"My husband and I stayed at Vitality Living Baypoint Village because of some repair work to my house. I loved it. It's just that it's an hour away from my children so the location is great except not for my family. When I was there, everybody was your friend. People talk to you, they gravitate to you, and it worked out beautifully for us. We enjoyed being there. We were only there for 2 months at their assisted living. You get whatever you could possibly want around there, and they did very nice things. They had buses that took you out once a week for lunch, buses that took you to Walmart for an afternoon, and to places like little shopping plazas. They take you to the doctor too and I loved it. The people there made a difference too. After only a day that we went in, they already knew my name and my husband's name. They had a little bit of a problem with the food but I heard that it's corrected now. When we first got there, we had no problem with it but then the chef quit. We were only there for 2 months and when the second month came, the chef quit and it wasn't the same. The food was scarce and the menu was not as varied. There was not as much of a selection as the prior month. When I spoke to people that I met there, they said everything was straightened out now. Every Wednesday they had a DJ come in and we had music. Every morning they had exercise activities too. They have a beautiful gym, a beautiful swimming pool, and they have bingo. There was a lot you could do there."

"My mom was a resident of Angels Senior Living at Connerton Court. It's a very nice and clean facility, and the people were very nice. The food tasted good, and I have no complaints there. I got her a one-bedroom apartment, and there were a lot of activities there. They have a nice theater room, a game room, and live entertainment once a week."

"My dad moved into The Cottages of Port Richey last week. It is very nice, clean, and kept up. The staff is very nice and very helpful. They offer a wide variety of activities and have a whole calendar of events and things to do. They have a nice dining room, private rooms, and semi-private rooms. My dad has a private room. The food looked very good and appetizing, but we haven't tried it. The value for the money is average. It is pretty much the same as the rest of the communities, but they do try to work with you. They also have discounts for veterans."

"My aunt moved to Sunflower Springs at Homosassa and it was great. The staff was great, they did a wonderful job with her, and they helped us almost babysit her until we got everything ready. They were just wonderful. She has her own room with a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and like a little sunroom where she can go out of the room. They also had a happy hour at 3:00, which helped a lot. It was painted yellow so it was really bright, and all the staff was so cheerful and the place smelled good. The rooms were nice, they had a big courtyard, and all the residents seemed to really enjoy it. They were really helpful to us, they went right out and talked to our aunt. We visited several places, but we were just more in tune with this one than with any of the other ones. She has just one big room. They also had a one-bedroom but we didn't choose that. Her room has her bed, dresser, a small seat, recliner, big TV, and a shelf with her pictures and things on it. It has a refrigerator and big storage in the pantry, a microwave, cabinets, and a sink, and there's a walk-in closet. It is wonderful, its got a good-sized bathroom, and it has everything that we were looking for. The staff members were just so great, they've been really taking really good care of her. Ashley and Carly, they are the executives, and they were also really great and helped a lot. I haven't eaten there but they were having a celebration that day we toured, and they gave my aunt a crab cake, which looked great, and she said it was really good. They have bingo, movie nights, they have exercise classes, a big library, music, and ice cream socials. It was just a full day if they want to partake in it."

"My mom moved in. She gets some help with walking because she's a fall risk, and she has some memory loss, so she gets help with that. She gets help if she needs bathing and stuff like that. She's served three meals a day. The staff is very friendly. The facility is perfect. My mom is really happy with the food, and that's all that matters. They do arts and crafts, reading, shopping, bingo, cards, and stuff like that. Everybody I have spoken with loves the food."

"My father will move into Elevated Estates of New Port Richey. When we walked in, it was more home-like rather than institutional feeling. The people there were absolutely awesome. People who didn't even know who I was smiled and said hi. The people who live there seemed happy. We walked in during an activity, and they were all very engrossed in the activity. And the girl doing the activity had an energy level that was just amazing. They answered any question I had, and the few questions they did not know the answers to, she said she would get back to me the next day with the answers, and she did. She was very prompt. That was Dora that I talked with, and any questions I had along the way, she provided answers very quickly. I saw all three different-sized rooms and I chose the room that I thought my father would feel most comfortable in. The staff is amazing. I did not have a meal. However, when we had decided to select that location, I asked if I could come back and tour again with my father so that he could see the location and he could have a meal there when he toured it, and he was very, very happy. He said, "If I'm going to eat like this all the time, I'm going to get fat." He was very happy with the food. They have an outdoor area that has some umbrellas so that you can sit in the shade. They also have an enclosed sort of an inside outside area that is screened in, so there's no bugs, but you can have fresh air. There are ceiling fans and shades, so there's plenty of options to get fresh air."

"From our first interaction to our last this has been an eye opener to the needs and minds of seniors . Mom was diagnosed with early stage dementia and the care staff and nurse re assured us always that this process of losing their independence takes time and patience and that’s what the staff have patience. I watch them get beat down but if it was easy most families would keep their loved ones home but it’s not. They have updated rooms and it doesn’t feel like a nursing home."

"We toured Keystone Place at Terra Bella. I like that very much. I thought that esthetically, it looked good, it was clean, and the staff we spoke to was very friendly. The residents appear to be happy, the ones we saw walking around. If it was me, I would have gotten into that place. It was very nice. They were very helpful and very friendly. They did a great job giving us a tour and telling us about the services they provide and the activities that are available for the residents. It was great. It was a good atmosphere."

"My mom has moved into Brookdale New Port Richey. The people are very patient and answered my questions. They're helpful all the way around. The staff there is nice. It was an easy move because I had to move furniture and stuff in, and they helped out with dollies or things like that, so that was a very good transition. My mom's room is a decent-sized room with a nice bathroom. I was able to fit a queen-sized bed. I didn't try their food, but I can say they can accommodate her because she is a vegetarian. The dining area is clean. Nurses are always there to assist and help out the patients. They are doing activities as far as having them watch a movie, and then they would ask them questions and recap. They are also doing some arts and crafts."

"This is where I would want my mom to stay. It's a 5-star across the board. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the rooms for a person because it was more like a hotel. They're very clean. They had a fine dining area like a five-star hotel. They had security for the memory unit. It didn't feel like a nursing home setting. The person who showed me and gave me information was just phenomenal. She knew exactly what she was doing and how to interact with the person that was interested. I checked their dining area, but I didn't try their food. They did go over the type of food that they had. They have a menu. They don't give one thing out and say you have to eat it. It was like fine dining. They could choose what they wanted to eat."

"We're going to Sunflower Springs at Trinity. There's so much I like about them. They have several different floor plans that are good. It's clean and caring. They have a lot of activities and possibilities like a library and exercise machines. We've only worked with one person there so far, and he was great. For amenities, they have meeting rooms and a private dining room if you're having a birthday party."

"I can't say enough wonderful things about Angels senior Living at the Lodges. The staff is truly loving, caring and dedicated. They go above and beyond to make their residents feel valued and cared for. From the moment we first walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The facilty is always clean and inviting and the environment truly feels like home. The staff is incredibly helpful, not only with the residents but also with family members. They're always available to answer questions or provide updates , which gives me so much peace of mind. I'm especially grateful for how they keep me informed about my Dad and Step Mom's care and daily activities. Knowing they're in such caring, compassionate hands means everything to me.
