Caring.com revenue comes from two main sources: 1) referrals to senior care providers, and 2) ads. Income from these sources gives us the ability to offer a wide range of caregiving resources to our users, all for free. These resources include articles by caregiving experts, support groups, practical newsletters, local directories of senior care services, and more.

Senior Care Referrals


One of the resources we provide is a free senior care referral service, staffed by our team of knowledgeable Family Advisors. You can reach this service by calling our toll-free phone number 1-800-973-1540 or filling out a form when you browse our nationwide senior care directory. Senior care providers don’t pay to be listed in the directory, so you can be sure our directory is comprehensive.

When you speak with a Family Advisor, she or he will connect you with senior care providers in your area who are within your price range and highly reviewed by other consumers. Some of these providers pay us a referral fee when a family hires them or moves into their community, in states that allow such payments. Others pay us if we send them your name and contact information, regardless of whether you start care. Still others pay an annual subscription fee to get enhanced features on their directory listing, such as additional photos or an option for people to schedule tours.

Whether a senior care provider pays us or not, we’re committed to connecting you with the best providers in your area. Our service will always be free for consumers. Your needs come first, so our Family Advisors will always take the time to understand the type of care you need and your budget level before recommending providers that can meet your needs. That’s why more than 9 out of 10 people who use Caring.com say they’re satisfied with our service.

A word of caution: We do not vet the senior care providers in our directory. Instead we rely on families to provide helpful reviews based upon their experience with the provider. So be sure to do your homework about any provider -- read reviews from other families, go on tours, and interview extensively to make sure that a provider is the right fit for your loved one's needs.
