"We toured Atria Riverdale last Thursday. It's very nice and excellent. The staff was very good, pleasant and knowledgeable. It was a nice, clean, and facility. I looked at the menu for the day, and it looked nice. There was a movie theater, and they had a grill, which was nice. The common areas looked clean and nice as well. I heard the people playing bingo."

"It seems like a nice place. The exterior area is somewhat institutional though. The apartment that they would have given me is a nice size, although the view is not as appealing. It is a view of traffic and parking lots. The salesperson was very nice. I was able to try the food, and it was alright. The interior is appealing. It shows tastes. There are nice seating areas. However, the exterior is more institutional."

"I would rate RiverWalk Senior Apartments highly. The condition of the place and the staff is good. If I could, I would have moved there but they only had one bedroom and I wanted a big apartment. They give you trials. You can come in for maybe two months and see if that's the place you want to live. The staff took me to 4 different apartments in 4 different sizes. I thought the apartment was clean and ready for a move-in. He said if you want to, you could buy your furniture. The dining room looks like a five-star restaurant. It had tablecloths and nice rugs. It was very nice. They even have a pool and a beautiful garden."

"You will not meet more caring people to take care of your relatives than the staff here. Lots for them to do throughout the day and always a person you can speak to when you have a question. Couldn't ask for a better community for my grandma. "

"Meadowview Assisted Living at The Wartburg Adult Care Community was very nice. I like their independent living facility and they are not very pricey. The staff were all very friendly and nice. The amenities were all nice. Their common dining room was also nice and this is where both the assisted living residents and the independent living residents go to. I would recommend this facility to others. "

"I toured The Willows Home. It's lovely. I talked to a couple of residents, and they're very happy there. The nurse said that they have three meals a day, entertainment, and a beautiful common room. The bedrooms were very nice. The entire place is clean, but it's not what we're looking for right now. The dining area was lovely. They have a beautiful dining table, and everyone has a place at the table. She showed me the well-stocked kitchen. They have three hot meals a day, plus snacks are available to the residents. The staff was very gracious and very understanding. She showed me around, a very nice lady. The facility was very clean and had a very pleasant smell. The bathrooms were clean. The toilets were clean. I have nothing bad to say about it. It was a very nice place. They're somewhere I would consider if they had the accessibility that my father needs right now."

"The Esplanade at Palisades provided a lot of information. It was a very thorough tour. I saw the entire location and different activities. They showed me the different rooms that they had. They showed me the services that they can provide. With regards to their rooms, there are multiple options. For the lower cost, they have shared rooms, but I don't know if those would work for my mom, but it's worth considering. And it was nice to see that they have an option to make it affordable. The staff who gave the tour was really good and knowledgeable. She shared a lot of information. She was enthusiastic, too. They had a courtyard, but it was raining, so I didn't go outside."

"Atria Lynbrook was a really nice place. Their rooms/apartments were nice too. The people were very nice. Security is about the same as far as what I saw. "

"There is nothing that I like least about the New Nautilus Hotel. Everything was good for me. The customer service was great. The receptionist at the desk was very informative and very respectful. I deliberately asked to use the bathroom, and the bathroom was well-kept. The supplies were there, so I was really pleased to see that. I toured the place, and they took me to two rooms. The place was fairly clean and well-trafficked by elderly people. It was really good. I spoke to the supervisors, and they told me that I'm disqualified because I am working. Nevertheless, they were very professional and understanding."

"We toured Thrive at Montvale. We liked the amenities, and we liked the fact that it was very new and very fresh. It was very nice. The staff was great, and we enjoyed the tour. We liked their meal plan and the size of the facility. It was not too big and not too small. We liked the fact that they could move from independent to assisted living if they needed to. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, and they wanted to get to know my parents, which was good. The cleanliness was great. We liked the courtyard quite a bit. They had a garden room and a giant LEGO area for families to play in, and they had water features, but the units were a little bit on the small side. The atmosphere was vibrant, and we liked the setup, the layout, and the spaces."

"The person I visited at The Knolls really likes the place. It has a very big Olympic-sized swimming pool, and she is a swimmer, so she really loves that. She can drive her car and everything, so she is kind of on her own, and she likes that of course. She has a two-bedroom that has a really nice kitchen, and she can cook her own food if she wants. She has a washer and dryer in the bathroom, and there's one room that is set up like an office with a desk, and she can use that. I saw the dining room, but no one was eating in it. I didn't meet any staff, but my friend showed us the place herself. The facility is not brand new, but it's not really old either, so it's nice."

"Gladhaven Club is a small community. There are only about 12 to 15 people there. It's located in an old house so it's very homey. I feel like it's a nice community to be moving into. My tour experience was very good. The rooms vary in size, but they're all quite nice and they are very nicely furnished. If you prefer, you can bring your own furniture too. It appeared to be very well kept. The dining area is communal dining. I didn't have any food, but they said it was all home cooking. I'm hoping it's going to be good. They don't have activities like they do in some places. They have parties occasionally, but they don't have regular activities."

"I can't say enough positive things about Maria. She is great with the memory care residents and fantastic with coming up with creative activities and events for residents to socialize, engage and be active. Most importantly, you can tell that she genuinely cares. I have seen first-hand how she patiently and kindly helped my mom adjust to moving into memory care at Mira Vie 6-months ago after living in her own home for 50 years. My mother was set against participating in any group activities or socializing with other residents. Now, she's always excited to tell me about the fun games, trivia, bingo, arts & crafts, etc. that Maria has planned. While it was understandably a difficult adjustment for my mother, she is more social and engaged than she has been in years and has friends. Maria has helped to make my mom feel more comfortable and safe. I love receiving the pictures and updates of my mom in her activities and appreciate her communication!"

"The entire staff have been my rock, My Mom has been in Clara Barton for 4 years and is now in hospice. Always very friendly even with all the stress Covid had brought to us all. They are always very accommodating with any questions or assistance I need. They are all very kind. I am very grateful my Mom chose Clara Barton. You will not be disappointed"
