"I toured Atria Forest Hill. The inside is well-maintained and clean, and it doesn't have the typical atmosphere associated with senior living. It's pretty fresh. It gives off a good feeling. The residents seem to be pretty happy. They offer elderly classes, training, and exercises, an activity room, and a pretty good library. Bill, the assessment person, is very helpful."

"I'm very happy with Atria Riverdale. I find it very friendly. The staff does outstanding work in trying to make everybody feel very comfortable. They're caring. They're not just employees. They care about the people and they worry about their health and how they feel and if they're healthy. If somebody hasn't shown up for dinner, the staff, on their own, will go and check if that person is alright. It's a very caring place. The people overall enjoy the help. The food is adequate. They try to keep the residents busy with different activities like bingo, movies, lectures, and book clubs. They stay active, which is very important for this type of place. They have a gym, a barber shop that's open two days a week, and the ladies take advantage of the beauty salon. We like the movies a lot."

"Atria Kew Gardens was excellent in every way. My mother had an apartment there, and she brought some of her own furniture. The meals were very good. The staff was excellent, and the security was very good. It was a big building which was typical of the neighborhood that it was in. It was clean and well kept. It looked good. "

"It seems like a nice place. The exterior area is somewhat institutional though. The apartment that they would have given me is a nice size, although the view is not as appealing. It is a view of traffic and parking lots. The salesperson was very nice. I was able to try the food, and it was alright. The interior is appealing. It shows tastes. There are nice seating areas. However, the exterior is more institutional."

"I would rate RiverWalk Senior Apartments highly. The condition of the place and the staff is good. If I could, I would have moved there but they only had one bedroom and I wanted a big apartment. They give you trials. You can come in for maybe two months and see if that's the place you want to live. The staff took me to 4 different apartments in 4 different sizes. I thought the apartment was clean and ready for a move-in. He said if you want to, you could buy your furniture. The dining room looks like a five-star restaurant. It had tablecloths and nice rugs. It was very nice. They even have a pool and a beautiful garden."

"I felt like the place here was similar to college dorms. Grandparents would live in a single room for privacy and everyone would meet up at the living room and etc. IT was warm environment, however as a typical nursing homes, everything was relaxed and boring. Some volunteers and workers tried to make it fun and interesting but they just end up taking care of the people in needs. Anyway it is a good place to spend time. Good to see granparents making friends "

"You will not meet more caring people to take care of your relatives than the staff here. Lots for them to do throughout the day and always a person you can speak to when you have a question. Couldn't ask for a better community for my grandma. "

"Meadowview Assisted Living at The Wartburg Adult Care Community was very nice. I like their independent living facility and they are not very pricey. The staff were all very friendly and nice. The amenities were all nice. Their common dining room was also nice and this is where both the assisted living residents and the independent living residents go to. I would recommend this facility to others. "

"I liked Sunrise. I thought it was a nice facility. I thought it was neat, clean, and decorated nicely. The person who assisted me was very, very nice. I spoke to the manager for the interview. They had a dining room and a meeting room. The dining room was very nice. I didn't observe any activities going on while I was there, but I could see that they did things. The room was fine. The nicer rooms will cost more money. One of the issues was that when I looked at what I thought would be appropriate for my aunt, the cost became rather expensive. They had a little snack bar with coffee all day long. I had no problems with the facility. "

"I toured The Willows Home. It's lovely. I talked to a couple of residents, and they're very happy there. The nurse said that they have three meals a day, entertainment, and a beautiful common room. The bedrooms were very nice. The entire place is clean, but it's not what we're looking for right now. The dining area was lovely. They have a beautiful dining table, and everyone has a place at the table. She showed me the well-stocked kitchen. They have three hot meals a day, plus snacks are available to the residents. The staff was very gracious and very understanding. She showed me around, a very nice lady. The facility was very clean and had a very pleasant smell. The bathrooms were clean. The toilets were clean. I have nothing bad to say about it. It was a very nice place. They're somewhere I would consider if they had the accessibility that my father needs right now."

"The Esplanade at Palisades provided a lot of information. It was a very thorough tour. I saw the entire location and different activities. They showed me the different rooms that they had. They showed me the services that they can provide. With regards to their rooms, there are multiple options. For the lower cost, they have shared rooms, but I don't know if those would work for my mom, but it's worth considering. And it was nice to see that they have an option to make it affordable. The staff who gave the tour was really good and knowledgeable. She shared a lot of information. She was enthusiastic, too. They had a courtyard, but it was raining, so I didn't go outside."

"I'm a resident of Atria on Roslyn Harbor. I would recommend it highly because the people here are very, very caring. They make you feel like they're concerned about you and care about you. It feels very comfortable and homey. The cleanliness is terrific. The food is not gourmet, but it's good and plentiful. There's a lot of things going on. We have entertainment. They take them to the local opera place. They bring in a teacher to teach us how to play bridge. We have a lot of musicians coming to play the violin and entertain and sing and stuff like that. The people here are very classy. They're very nice people, friendly, and sociable. I have made many friends. The place is very beautiful. It has a beautiful garden outside. The value is good, but I think it's too much money."

"Atria Lynbrook was a really nice place. Their rooms/apartments were nice too. The people were very nice. Security is about the same as far as what I saw. "

"There is nothing that I like least about the New Nautilus Hotel. Everything was good for me. The customer service was great. The receptionist at the desk was very informative and very respectful. I deliberately asked to use the bathroom, and the bathroom was well-kept. The supplies were there, so I was really pleased to see that. I toured the place, and they took me to two rooms. The place was fairly clean and well-trafficked by elderly people. It was really good. I spoke to the supervisors, and they told me that I'm disqualified because I am working. Nevertheless, they were very professional and understanding."
