"I liked the tour I had at The Willows Home. It was good. I like the staff who gave the tour, and they called me after that. They seemed to be nice people. I like the price, too, and I think the staff was courteous. It's a house that they transformed into assisted living because the house has about 12 rooms. The house is very old, but it's clean. The layout is good."

"After a while when my father wasn't able to take care after himself and us with mom working all the time, we have decided that it would be the best idea if we put him in this facility. Suffering from hard epilepsia he had some hard epilepsia attacks which were endangered his life. We searched on the web for closest and best facilities and found one of the finest available in this area. The facility is well organised for routine activities (fitness programme is awesome!). I managed to pay a few visits in durring last month and was always supprised how I the life is at full bloom. People were happy and enjoying all facilities including full time nursing service and postal. Dining rooms, kitchen, laundry are available for all residents. What i found awesome is that pet lovers are allowed to keep their pets and enjoy the touch of life. Media lounge and library are fully digitized and serves as a rewarding data base-this is what helps my father a lot, since he loved reading books.I would definately recommend this facility for our old age loved ones. "

"Coterie Hudson Yards is very nice, but it's very expensive. I went on a tour of their assisted living and the rooms are beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and the food is wonderful. It's almost like a restaurant-type atmosphere where you can order drinks with all types of food and entertainment. You have the piano player going while you're eating. The people are polite and professional. I also had a meal with them. They have a wonderful menu and a chef right on the premises. Their rooms are not shared, but they also accommodate couples. They take the residents on tours down to Manhattan and go to different places and different restaurants. It's a wonderful place."

"It was great. It was the first place I went to see, but it was not assisted living -- only independent living. They were really fantastic, and the people were very friendly. They had everything, including a pool. The rooms were nice but not that big."

"The person I visited at The Knolls really likes the place. It has a very big Olympic-sized swimming pool, and she is a swimmer, so she really loves that. She can drive her car and everything, so she is kind of on her own, and she likes that of course. She has a two-bedroom that has a really nice kitchen, and she can cook her own food if she wants. She has a washer and dryer in the bathroom, and there's one room that is set up like an office with a desk, and she can use that. I saw the dining room, but no one was eating in it. I didn't meet any staff, but my friend showed us the place herself. The facility is not brand new, but it's not really old either, so it's nice."

"My 100 year old aunt lives at Castle. We visited this past week and were so happy with the care and amenities. All staff always helpful, I am so grateful for my brothers choice here at Castle! It was wonderful to interact and view the attention and respect they all receive. Thank you all for being so understanding and caring. Bravo to all office members who put out so much effort in running a well rounded HAPPY place!"

"I toured Gladhaven Club. They gave me a nice tour. They provide three meals a day. The dining room and serving facilities looked to be perfectly fine. The housekeeping and the age of the facility were fine, too. I appreciate the opportunity to talk with the owner and operator of the facility. However, the sleeping space that I would be assigned to, because that was the only room available, was just too small for someone who is an independent individual such as myself. It's not a one-bedroom apartment, not even a studio. It's less than a studio size. I was taken to the dining room where they were beginning to serve some lunch, and I saw the outside of the facility, too. It's an old house from early the 1900s. It's sort of an antique."

"My mom is here, and she’s stable, calm and getting adjusted. The staff is very caring. It is very clean and very nice. It is a very pretty facility. The dining room is very nice, and she always liked the food; she thought it was very good. It always seemed the residents are very lively, sitting down and conversing. The dining room looked like a restaurant. Mother has a private room and when you have to share, you just share a bathroom."

"My mom was a resident of Mira Vie at Fanwood. The staff was extraordinary, unfortunately, many of those people have left because of the new management. It's a very attractive, appealing property. The staff's level of care and attention has been uniformly excellent throughout. They have quite a bit of activities."

"New Nautilus Hotel was beautiful. The person that brought us around was very lovely. The studio she showed us was beautiful. We found that the price and for what it's worth is excellent. They seemed to have some activities but they didn't have the activities that my mother was interested in. They didn't have those activities already organized. We had salad and tuna fish. They offered soup but we didn't have it. They gave us pudding and coffee or tea, whatever you wanted. The food was very good. They had a library and a movie theater. We only really dealt with two people. Holly was very nice. She was very accommodating, and answered all our questions and the woman at the front desk seemed nice, but we didn't deal with anybody else. Dining was set up like a cafeteria. They give you a $700 stipend every month, and then you just purchase what you want. The soup and dessert are included, but for everything else, you purchase it like as if it's a regular menu."

"The people working at Senior Residence were very friendly, very accommodating and very informative. They knew all the residents very well. It was lovely and I liked it very much. However, for my mom, it wouldn't work because she wanted a private bathroom and most of the units there had shared bathrooms. For me, I would go there. The rooms were just at a right size for some who did need a lot stuff in their room. It was smaller than the other residences I had seen, but again, I guessed that’s how they kept the price so low. I thought what they offered was great as far as I they had services outside the building if people needed a ride to the doctor or the grocery shops. It was a pretty small community. There were only 20 or 24 beds there. They had an activity room where they could watch TV or do puzzles or do special project. They also had a library which was quiet and secluded. It would be nice if you wanted some nice and quiet space. They also had a sun room which was very well kept. The dining area looked fine. They had a continental type of breakfast. Their chef there was very nice that if a couple of them couldn’t get out for thanksgiving dinner with their family members, she made them a thanksgiving meal. "

"I'm happy with Bright View. My husband has no idea where he is and what's going on, but I'm happy with it. The food that I've seen looks good, but he's on a very limited diet. He's on a soft diet and the food that he eats, for what he needs, is very good. They get a lot of food and they bring him extra stuff if it looks like he's looking for food. I chose them because my husband has physical limitations and they were the only ones willing to work with that. There were a lot of places that I called that said he needed to be in a nursing home or skilled nursing setting, but Bright View took him because they knew they could work with him and they are working with him. Their visitation is still very limited and no visitors are allowed to go into the common areas where they have the activities. I'm not allowed at this point to see them because of Covid. I do know he's always out of his room. The only time he's in his room is for personal hygiene and when he's sleeping."

"I thought Altair was absolutely beautiful, but I am handicapped, and it was not handicap-friendly or accessible. The gentleman running the situation was not helpful at all. He wouldn’t accommodate me with parking. He just sat behind his desk and did not help or explain anything to me. The apartments were absolutely beautiful and brand new. They had different accommodations: 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 1-bedroom with a den. You have your own kitchen. They did have a swimming pool and a clubhouse where a lot of them would go down and play cards. "
