Meals on Wheels Chicago

Meals on Wheels Chicago delivers a variety of meal options—including vegetarian and kosher offerings—to homebound seniors. It also funds an emergency meal program that provides shelf-stable meals to safeguard against service interruptions caused by severe weather and other emergencies.

H.O.M.E.

H.O.M.E. (Housing Opportunities & Maintenance for the Elderly) runs several programs that preserve the independence of low-income seniors in Chicago. It helps seniors maintain their homes through a repair and upkeep program, and its shopping bus makes it easier for seniors to access grocery stores. The organization also operates three affordable housing buildings and a moving program for seniors.

Little Brothers is a network of nonprofit organizations that support the elderly through volunteer work. Its Chicago chapter provides companionship to individuals age 70 and over who are aging alone. The chapter also runs monthly and weekly social clubs. All of its services are provided at no cost.
