"Sunstar Village is an awful place. It's small. I think they have like maybe 30 people. They can only handle up to 50, but they are about half full, and I can see why. The place is old and dingy, and they have very limited staff. I found that the security is not very good. They did offer me a private room with a nice bathroom, but everything is older. I met the owner. He was in his office, and he's a young guy. It needs a lot of help. It's pretty run-down. I saw a lot of residents in wheelchairs slumped over. I saw that in every room. I didn't find it to be very inviting or anything like that. The staff was kind of distracted, like she didn't really want to give the tour, even though I scheduled it. She obviously forgot because I showed up and she asked me why I was there. She was nice enough, but not upbeat, just kind of going through the motions. All I saw was the outside place where the smokers go. They have an activity room that doubles as a dining room. They don't have a separate wing for memory care. They mix them all up."

"We chose Sweet Water At Largo, and it’s a very nice place. It’s small with just about 40 beds. They have a family atmosphere. The staff is very good, and their food is good as well. "

"We've visited Elison Senior Living Community of Pinecrest, it's nice. It was a very clean place, I like the cafeteria area, and it seemed like a nice place. I liked the rooms, they were kept together pretty well, and clean and nice looking. It was a good experience. The staff who helped me out during the tour was great. She's very informative, she provided me with all the information that was needed, and kept me abreast of all the openings in the facility, and which ones are coming up. The menu looked great and it was very diverse. I wasn't really hungry, but she showed me the menu and all the different items on the menu to choose from. I saw somebody playing with a puzzle and a group of people playing bingo."

"My mother moved into Seasons Belleair. It's a great place. I'm very happy with the decision. They have good activities for the residents, and Mom seems to be happy there. The place is awesome. The staff is awesome. They're very friendly. They really seem to care about the residents. They work hard getting them involved in activities. They're just a great bunch of people. Everybody that works there seems to really enjoy their job. Mom likes the food, and it looks good. One day they were having live music, Mom's music, and she likes to dance. She's in a wheelchair, and they were dancing with her in the wheelchair, and she had a great time. It was really cool, they got everybody up there, involved. That's the first time I saw her laugh and smile like that since she fell. She also played a card game called UNO, and she enjoyed that. It's clean, well maintained, and a locked facility, this way the residents can't just wander off, it's very secure."

"The most caring people my family encountered. Other places are fancier, but the people here are truly angels. "

"Lake Seminole Square looked good to me. It had different buildings, and one building was independent. I met some nice people there. The host was very nice. She showed me two- and one-bedroom apartments, but I liked the two-bedroom better. I had lunch there, and the dessert was excellent. It's near shopping centers. It was a nice facility."

"Magnolia Gardens have very nice and very expensive rooms. They had crafts, a beautiful dining area, a TV area, and a lot of socials going on. The staff was very nice. We even talked to a few clients there; they were very nice and seemed to be very happy. "

"I took advantage of Freedom Square's mini staycation and found the facility to be extremely clean, well cared for, the staff friendly, happy residents, and the food delicious. Joey, the GM, is very hands on and it is evident how much he (and staff) cares about the community. I didn't think I would like the property as much as I did. So much so, I put a deposit on after just a few days. There is an indoor heated salt-water pool and I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time in that. Many exercise classes, events, and trips. So much more than like communities provide. Major shopping and beaches close by made this an easy decision. So glad to call Freedom Square home!"

"I went to tour here. It was nice, but not someplace that we would put my mom because it was sort of dingy. It wasn't dirty, it's just not bright and cheery, and the residents that were there were not people that she would connect with. It felt like there were a lot of men, and I just didn't get a good feeling of the place. But it wasn't that it wasn't clean or that they weren't pleasant, because they were. They just got bought out and they just put a new roof in and they're doing some painting and they're going to remodel the rooms and they're putting new flooring in. So they're going in the right direction. It just wasn't a big enough community. The person who gave the tour was very informative, she was very pleasant, she was just good and I liked her. They don't have enough activities from what I gathered from the staff. It sounded like they do a lot of things, but not really anything my mom would be interested in, so it wouldn't work for her. They just bring entertainment in and they do activities with them."

"We went to Regency Oaks. It's a first-class facility. The staff is very accommodating. I liked the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The apartments are the perfect size, especially the two-bedroom ones. They had an exercise facility, which is important to me, and they had groups and clubs that we're interested in. It's a fine location, and it's easy to get to. We did dine there, and we have friends that are residents. The food was excellent."

"The Oaks of Clearwater was a high rise. We were very impressed with this one. It was very nice, very clean, and I couldn't find anything that was wrong with it. We did have a meal there, and it was very good. "

"Oak Manor Senior Living Community was wonderful and it will probably be my first choice. It had everything that I need, was clean, and affordable. The staff was fabulous. The grounds were beautiful and it was just a great place."
