"My mother,92 and cognizant, has been @ Habana since 2016. I rarely have complaints b/c I have things dealt with immediately b/c I visit 2-3 times a week @different times. I also bring in goodies for the staff. That may sound like bribery, but it really is b/c I understand they are not paid well, it’s not an easy job, and deserve recognition. I have had issues like a cna not showing compassion. I immediately calmly spoke with her and explained my mother’s need. It changed her behavior. I found her clothes were not taken good care of, so I do her laundry myself. I have no problem having things fixed by maintenance when needed. In other words, patience, understanding and kindness go a long way to making my mother’s time there relatively good. I will say that during COVID things have not been great and I can’t get in to make things right, but when my mother tells me something, I call and it’s remedied. I’m sure their jobs became even more difficult and frightening with COVID. Lastly, I will say that the night staff is less diligent in my view. Why? I don’t know. There job is just a bit less hectic. Oh, and the food is probably the least likable aspect. It really needs to improve. "

"My mother-in-law had stayed in Excel Rehabilitation and Health Center. It was very nice. We were happy with their care and I thought she was treated well. I had nothing bad to say about them. They were very nice. "

"The facilities remind me of college dorms. The workers are extremely nice and are willing to go out of their way to help the residents. The food is average but the fact that the residents can order as much as they want is a plus. I fell that for the less mobile residents, more should be done to help them get around the grounds and maybe to the pool to enjoy their time a little more. I could not imagine dealing with so many grumpy people all day so hats off to all the men and women who do this every day. "

"Dad was at Accentia Health and Rehabilitation Center of Tampa when he was still alive. We were familiar with this facility because my grandfather also passed away at this home. The administrative staff was excellent. By the time dad was there, he was not really mentally capable. He was in the wheelchair and they would move him around into different room to listen to music, but he really wasn’t able to do anything or participate in anything. "

"My mom has been here for 7 years. We are very please most of the time. Few issues when new staff come in. Fairway fixes everything quickly. The place is very clean. The staff in my mom's area are very friendly and helpful. During Covid they call with updates regularly. They even had a parade to drive by and wave."

"Canterbury Towers was outstanding, but they couldn’t take us because they had three acute patients already on their ward. They have to balance the number of acute patients against the staff there so that they can adequately care. The place didn’t smell, it looked great, and the food looked great. It seemed like a professional place. They had activities for people to do, and my overall impression was that, she would have gotten very good care there. They have two sides: a very heavily retirement community and a skilled nursing side. "

"Staff was very friendly, and very knowledgeable of their work, and to put up with some of the characters and unfortunately some with dementia, it will take more than a skill nurse to deal with patients who sometimes demands too much."

"As far as the looks of Fletcher, it was not pretty, but the treatment that my father-in-law received was good. The place is clean although it was just an older place. "

"The nursing and care of this facility was by far some of the most excellent I have ever received; from Kim and Ms Johnnie, Jesse in Nursing on down to Housekeeping. The physical therapy and occupational therapy were also first-rate in my opinion and this is not the 1st rodeo for me. From Enrique, to Melissa, Brooke, Mary and every one else, the patience and care they showed for us all was outstanding. The ONLY reason this is not a 5-star review is because the paperwork got a bit scrambled at times and would fall between cracks, which was NONE of these peoples' faults. I must also add that Valeria and Andrew went out of their way to make sure my needs were met. I did have some issues with getting all of the calories I require from Dietary, but I'm a "special" case like that. It really, really hurt to leave these fine people!"

"I'm in Bayshore Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center. It's a nursing rehab facility, it's fine for what it is, and by and large the staff is wonderful. The food is marginal. The room is very clean, and they're very attentive to your cleanliness."

"My mom is staying at Bayshore Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center. The staff is very caring, and the facility is very clean. I'm pleased with the security, which some people don't like, but they have glass doors. When you walk in and stand in front of the glass doors, the receptionist has to let you in and out. I think that's great. To get on the elevator, you need a code. They make sure my mom is not in her room all the time. She goes to the dining room to eat, which at first, she was not happy with, but now I think she's making friends. The rehab and physical therapy are good. They have a day room where they have a TV. They take very good care of her. She is clean. I had no problems with cleanliness at all. Mom likes the food. Their staff is very caring and very professional. It's an older facility, but it's very clean. It has three levels. It's not brand new. She's still covered under Medicare; she hasn't used up her 100 days. Last year, she was at a different location that was so loud, and the staff would yell and kid around. This place is quiet."

"The nurses at Central Park Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center were nice to my sister. She was watched OK, but as far as changing, I don't think they gave her the attention that she needed. The services were good. I would sign in and they were friendly. The ones that came to serve my sister's tray were also nice. The facility looked clean. She was sharing a room with another resident. It was clean and she was able to talk with the other resident. When I was there, she would eat everything. So she liked everything about the food. They had a room where you could go through to this little patio in the back, but it was just limited. They had refreshments in that room, too."

"My father is in Hawthorne Center for Rehabilitation of Brandon. He was there for rehab. They don't have any open spaces for long term. It's a little different than others. It's kind of a family-oriented thing where when you go there, they make sure that they guide you in what you need to do, or if you plan on having them stay permanently. They're very good on the rehab. They've gotten my dad up every day and showed him how to get his legs back under him, learn how to get out of bed, and learn how to sit down and get up. They're working with him every day. He's on mechanical food, so they've been working with him on seeing if he can get to real food or what. They're working with him every day. Someone is calling me, letting me know what's going on. We're in line for a long-term bed if it becomes available. The food is pretty good. They're willing to try and work with whoever their patient is to see if they don't like the food. They try to change it up for them or whatever."
