My grandmother is at Fletcher Health and Rehabilitation Center. They seem to have all the things that she needs like round-the-clock care, cleanliness, and well-trained staff. Also if she needs to go to the bank or wherever, she could ask for transportation. They have activities all the time, so I like the facility. Right now, activity is limited because of Covid, but they do a lot of art activities and outdoor exercise when the weather is good. They had just celebrated someone's birthday, so they had a small gathering in the courtyard like a barbecue for the residents.

This is the WORST place. If you love you family member...DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE. They are basically holding my mother hostage, and refusing to transfer her to a facility that has been holding a bed for her for a week. Every day they tell me they are working on it... THEY ARE NOT. My mother is supposed to be getting rehabilitation, and they are not even getting her out of bed most days. If anything, my mother has gotten worse since being there. PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED INTO THINKING THIS A GOOD PLACE.

This place is trash. Do not send your loved ones here. Smells like bad eggs, dirty, and the staff is aloof. Released my friend and put him in a cab/uber to Saint Petersburg? He was left at that motel with none of his belongings even his clothes. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE!

The employees needs to stop being rude to the patients and go get them what they ask!!! And they are also mean to them and the people that I’ve called haven’t stop the issues!!!

Probably the worst experience I have ever had living anywhere, ever. The only bright spot in my stay was the physical therapy and the wound care teams. I count it a blessing that I got sick and had to be transported to the hospital. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. they need to do a lot of work to bring everything up to livable standards.

This was a horrible experience. The only positive was the staff for physical therapy. The rest of the experience was depressing. The place is not clean, it is understaffed and is not an uplifting place. I arrived on a Wednesday around 7pm from the hospital. There was no food available as the kitchen was closed. The bed was not working so I couldn't adjust it. The room was dark and the A/C wasn't on. When i would ring for someone to get me to the bathroom the wait was always 15 minutes or more. I informed them that I was on a GERD diet. Thursday morning I was brought a disgusting looking breakfast, none of which I would be able to eat. I explained again that I had to be on a GERD diet. I was told that the cook makes one thing for each meal, and that's what you get. No variations. I feel sorry for diabetics or those on other restrictive diets. The staff consisted of very young CNAs. I never met the doctor. Two nurses were on duty. The bathroom was disgusting with corroded fixtures and not cleaned from the Wednesday until Saturday when I checked out. I was given a hard time about leaving and told that I would not be able to get services from Humana if i left. That was a lie. I left on the Saturday and had home health and PT at home. Stay away from here. The staff show no interest in your well being or progress, no comforting words. I was so depressed that I cried .

Please do not send your relatives here. My husband was here and we had to call 911 to get him out of there before he died. They never cleaned him. He was on feeding tube so he would soil himself. They put him in a diaper and left him like that one time for 9 hours. When we got him to ER, they had to scrub his scrotum because of caked on old poop. You have to make appointment to see them and you can’t go back to their room. The place is horrible and the employees just don’t care.

The only good thing was the physical therapy department. They are understaffed and some of the staff cares about the patients and the majority do not. Twice I was given the wrong medicine and I ended up filing charges with DCF and they were found to be true. They could have killed me. The food stinks, the beds and tv’s stink, etc. Do not let your loved ones go here!!!

I spent 2 months here recovering from a broken leg andd ankle. The therapy staff was great. They cared about how I was progressing. There is an outdoor smoking area. Now on the negative: You cannot go smoke without a staff member. There are smoke breaks 6 times a day, 70% of the time the staff member is . Medication is given aat varying times. The rooms have small CRT tv's. My bed was uneven side to side with an air mattress that didn't help. Most of the staff were friendly, several were inattentive mosst of the team. This is basically a warehouse for really old people. Don't put your loved ones here!

We visited Fletcher Health and Rehabilitation Center. When you step inside, you're in a foyer in an office area, so they had to send somebody to get us. We saw the rooms in the rehab center and the kitchen. There's a nice garden area in the middle of the place, where you can go out and sit with your family member. I wasn't really impressed with the TV room because all they do is push people out there and just leave them there. There was nobody that stayed there, but the nurse's station is right behind it, so they can see the residents, and it's easy to call out if they need something. The place was clean, but they didnt have any availability. The staff member who helped us with the tour was very polite. We also saw that they had a gym where they do the rehab, and they also have a nutritionist there.

I would give a zero if i Could. Please read! My mother who is 79 came to this facility needing rehab for a fractured vertebrae in her back, she was here only 13 days....while here she received bare minimum care from the facility, she left in an an ambulance when I discovered her slump and unresponsive in a wheel chair, unrestrained from falling! Gonna post a pic. I insisted they call an ambulance to get help, which I'm glad I did, as she entered a hospital in critical condition, with a drastically low blood pressure, suffering from Septic shock, UTI, and Pneumonia in both lungs., my mother currently is clinging to life, and at her age, may not survive. If she does, she has a long road back to recovery, now, thanks to Fletcher Health and Rehab! I could and would love to go on and on about the disgusting truth about this understaffed & unorganized "Health Care Facility"....But my final words of wisdom will be, If you choose this place for your loved one....you will be sorry!

I wasn’t very happy with Fletcher Health and Rehab Center. I had come from the hospital and was there for only three days and had a roommate. They didn’t do anything. I wasn’t able to wash, and I was just kind of dumped there. They didn’t have a walker for me or a wheelchair, so I did nothing but lie on the bed and watch TV. I am back in the hospital now. The food was institutional and kind of bland but edible.

The only good thing about this facility is the physical therapy which is contracted out to another organization. They did not give pain melds for over 24 hours after transferring in on 3rd day post surgery when pain is at its peak. Maintenance medications I was taking prior to surgery were never given during one week stay. I had to leave by ambulance because absence of medication caused dangerous health concern. It took six days for doctor to visit me for five minutes. You can't be discharged if you haven't been seen by their doctor who did absolutely no examination. I saw neglect of many patients especially those who can't advocate for themselves. Nurses openly complain and fight in lobby. Nurses don't respond to call buttons in a timely manner. Food is awful. There are so many reasons to STAY AWAY.

I would not let anyone I care about come to this facility. First, I visited my friend here frequently, and they falways had only 1 CNA caring for 10-12 beds (sometimes more if someone doesn't show up to work), which seems to lead to call lights being unanswered for 30+ minutes. While I was visiting one time, the staff was buzzing about State being in the building. On this day, the nurses answered the call lights in a reasonable amount of time. Second, before my friend's admission, I wish she knew how much therapy she'd be getting. She only got about an hour of therapy a day during her stay. The therapy team was great. They requested more therapy time from the director of the building, but the request was not granted. It isn't right to treat people like this, especially when part of the reason they go to a nursing home is to get therapy. I think that Consulate Nursing (the company that runs this facility) is interested only in saving money since they can't staff the building properly or give their patients the therapy they need, even when requested.

My mother went to the Fletcher Rehabilitation. It is newer and modern. It is clean, but they didn't have the Spanish speaking staff. It was a downside for me because that meant my mother couldn't communicate, so they would call me constantly to interpret it. Even though it is newer, I think the newer part is the lobby where you come in. We came in to beautiful furniture which is very modern and up to date, but the beds look old. They were lower quality beds. They had to change it twice because the bed broke. It's like the hospital bed which goes up and down; while I was pushing the button, it broke, and the whole bed went straight down. Immediately they were very apologetic, but my mother's anxiety was worse because she always feared that she was going to fall out of the bed. Mentally that put her back in terms of her therapy. But I still kept her there. When I take her around in the wheelchair, I noticed another bed in a particular hallway had signs that said it needs repair. That turned me off, and that is when I started looking for another place. They do maintenance, and everything has to be recorded on how many times they wax the floor or how many times they clean. I think they need to do that with the beds a little bit more often. I started asking when this bed was last repaired, and they couldn't provide that documentation. So that is why I got concerned. I never smelled any odor or anything like that, and it is always fresh air. I think the staffing is fine. They were polite and very accommodating. I didn't find any problems with the staff. Whenever I came to visit my mom, I would come by, and her room was always clean and I didn't smell anything.

My sister does not like Fletcher Health and Rehabilitation Center. I have visited her twice, and it looks OK. The surroundings are nice. She has a shared room, and it is not that big. The sanitation is pretty good, and the staff is nice.

I went there to see my step-father. He had just arrived from the hospital. He no longer can walk and gets skin breakdown easily. When I walked in to see him, he had food all over him. He was in a diaper and way down in the bed. The linen he was laying on was soaked with urine. His skin was already very red on his back and buttocks as well as heels from lying all day. I told the nurse who was coming on and did not see her the 3 hours I was there. Apparantly his nurse was discharging his roommate. I showed her the skin and she passed the responsibilty to the CNA. The other nurse eventually told my mother that their policy was to NOT evaluate a patient for the first 24 hours. Did I mention there was a cup of urine in the bathroom sink all day. I'm sure it is still there. The first 24 hours count on your family member to be neglected/abused!

As far as the looks of Fletcher, it was not pretty, but the treatment that my father-in-law received was good. The place is clean although it was just an older place.

The staff are very slow to respond to patient needs, perhaps because they are understaffed. They also routinely demonstrate impatience, disrespect and some hostility to patients, and whatever the reason, the fact that anyone is treated this way is unconscionable, particularly when sick or at the end of life.
