"Everything was good about Best Care Senior Living at Saint Joseph. The only thing I didn't like too much about it was that they didn't accept my grandfather's benefits because he only received $900 and everything there was from $4000 and up, but they helped a lot in figuring things out to look for other places for him. So, they were great. The facility was clean. The building was a nice structure. It had a nice atmosphere. It was calm. They had nice-sized rooms. They were pretty big."

"My sister is in a private room here. The director said it is clean, the food is good, and it is affordable. And, the affordable part of that made it extremely attractive. They have a social area where they have a big television set. She doesn't complain about the food being bad. My sister is very difficult; she cannot communicate in a normal sense. There is some staff that she really, really likes, and there are a few she sometimes says she has issues with. She is incontinent, and when her husband was taking care of her she would get urinary tract infections all the time. After I took over, I started using wet wipes every time she pees, but I don't want her to take it upon herself to wipe after peeing; I want somebody else doing it, and they are following that instruction. And then, they used the wet wipes, and in this whole year, knock on wood, she has not had one urinary tract infection. They really are taking care of her, and that is extremely important because that would be the first place that it would show up if she wasn't being cleaned properly. Her room gives you a feeling more of a nursing home type, but the flooring is tiled and it is light, it is very bright, and it is washed every day. "

"We chose SeaCoast at Uptown Oaks for my parents because of a combination of things. How big the apartments were, the price, and how friendly and personable the staff was. They're very flexible, warm, and personable. The apartment was large and affordable, but I'm not that impressed with the food. They have a lot of activities, they take them places and they have a lot going on. It's pretty nice and peaceful, with a lot of shade and a lot of greenery. It's very comfortable. I think they could use a little more upkeep."

"My mother has been in Emeritus for over a year now and it is the third facility we have tried with her. Luckily, she loves living there and now our challenge is to get her to leave to take a short vacation or even an overnight trip. She always talks about all of the friends she has living there and how much she enjoys the food. When a better (in her view) room became available, we requested it for her and the staff was very accommodating: they explained the process, helped make the necessary arrangements, and most importantly were friendly as always. When we take her great-grandchildren for a visit, she lights up along with many of the other residents that live there. It is not a tired, old, and dank place to live, the people are pretty lively and all seem to enjoy their lives there. If we had one complaint, it's that she never wants to leave and she's always in a hurry to get back. "

"the nurses at the facility seemed to do a pretty good job helping my grandfather. he was bedridden for the most part at this point so he could not move much but they did assist him a lot with getting him around in the place. I really liked the fact they also assisted him with meals and he got to eat things that was at least decent in smell and not just some nasty looking hospital food. My grandfather seemed to like it there for what they did do for him while he was at the place. "

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."

"My mother will be moving into Angels Senior Living at New Tampa memory care unit. So far, so good. We have to move our own furniture in, but the room was clean and the size was good for us. The staff was nice, and they have good service. They have activities, but very simple ones. They have everything inside. They're pretty new."

"It was wonderful and had a very homey feeling. I was impressed. Carolyn, who showed me around, was great, very informative, and she wasn't pushy at all. She wants the right fit for my mom, which I thought was great. I really liked it. It's not the fanciest, it's kind of middle of the road, but it was very clean, and nice. They had a studio, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom. The two-bedrooms available were very large. The studios, she said, vary a little bit in size. I saw several of them, and they were decent-size studios. I did not see a one-bedroom because they were all occupied. They had arts and crafts, a movie room, a library, a sitting area outside for the memory part, a dining room, and a physical therapy room that had exercise equipment. I looked at the assisted living, but they also showed me the memory care for future use. I did get to meet the arts and crafts people, but I didn't get to meet any of the nursing staff."

"I am a friend of a resident of Adams House of Tampa. In general I thought the facility was better than average. When you first pull up, you will notice that the grounds are not well cared for as they could be and there is definitely not enough parking for visitors since the employees take up most of the parking spaces. I do like that you can sit out on the porch in chairs and visit and I do like the fact that Adams House of Tampa is in a nice neighborhood. Once you go inside though there is no private visitation area, the seating is next to the front door and only a few places to sit. Also the chairs and sofa did not smell fresh and did have stains on cushions. The residents did like their meals as everything is home cooked and looks and smells very appetizing. I noticed the staff were very friendly and really seemed to care about the residents. All in all, I would definitely recommend Adams House of Tampa to everyone. "

"Amilcat Care Home LLC was a very clean house. It was well kept. It was actually more of what I was looking for my mom. It was much better than the other place. My mom is too old to do activities. The other place was for younger seniors, and it wouldn't really fit her. The bed wasn't comfortable, but I could bring my own bed. The room was kind of small. Other than that, it was more to my fitting. The facility is a combination of assisted living and a little bit of memory care."

"The staff and the quality of care that Brookdale Bayshore provides for the residents stood out to me. I had a direct experience because I had an 86 year old cousin that resided there for a year and a half before she passed. I had lunch there, and the food was good. You have a choice because they have a selection. They have a selection plus a salad bar and wine for dinner. They have the quality of care plus the extra-curricular activities that they provide the client. On Fridays in the afternoon, they have a community happy hour. They either have a pianist that comes in or another musician, and they have music provided at that time. I was very happy with the tour. "

"Angels Senior Living at The Reserves Of Idlewild was a newer facility. I like the room for my wife. They were repainting everything. I like the lady who took me on a tour there, and it looked like they had everything that we needed. They even set us up with a preferred rehab specialist there, so it was pretty amazing. They had a rehab center. They had three meals a day. They had different levels of care. They had a bus to take people around, a beauty shop, entertainment, and activities. It was a modern facility."

"Our tour at Angels Senior Living at The Lodges of Idlewild was fine and the place looked good. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice and very informative. The place appeared very clean and also smelled good because they're cooking. We walked around the dining room and they showed us the menu, it was very nice and open with tables and chairs and not booths. It was a good-sized dining room."

"The Meridian at Brandon was an excellent place. It was a brand-new property, and everything is well taken care of. The people were very nice and very thorough. The tour and information they gave me were detailed. I was very impressed with that facility. It was located in a very quiet location. The residents there seem to be very active. If I decide to stay in a senior place long term, I will go back to them. The 1-bedroom was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The area to relax in and the dining area were nice, too."
