"Carrollwood Care Center was clean and seemed like it was well staffed. It was not as luxurious as the other place I’ve been, but it was nice. The people I met were very friendly and helpful. This would be my second choice. I saw some activities going on, and their dining area was very nice. "

"Dad was at Accentia Health and Rehabilitation Center of Tampa when he was still alive. We were familiar with this facility because my grandfather also passed away at this home. The administrative staff was excellent. By the time dad was there, he was not really mentally capable. He was in the wheelchair and they would move him around into different room to listen to music, but he really wasn’t able to do anything or participate in anything. "

"My mother that's 90 is a current patient. She is leaving on Saturday. She has had an excellent experience here. The employees are very caring, my mother has made friends and actually she has enjoyed her time here. Her rehab here was well worth it. Nice group of young people. Would like to continue going here for therapy. The rooms are very spacious. My mother loved her meals and has actually put on weight in the two and a half weeks she has been there. My mother has a good attitude and is a nice person to the employees . That goes a long way of course. We have seen some other places and if need be would come back here without a question."

"My mother-in-law was at Fairway Oaks Center. She was there for three days. It was fine but she was not happy. She's not happy at all in any type of place like that though. The care and the therapy were fine. They were all very nice people. My mother-in-law was in a shared room, but there was nobody in it. She was receiving PT, OT, and speech therapy. The building was fair. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. It wasn't fine."

"The facility was in good shape and had ample security when coming in. I was surprised to see so many people living here. I was told, "...there is always something going on here..." Shortly afterwards, I noticed a large bulletin board that completely validated that statement. Everyone seemed quite happy living there and everyone greeted my kids with open arms. The living quarters seemed quaint for two but comfortable. They also made claim that they had the first "senior zone" for traffic wight out front. The food in the cafeteria area was okay and the grandparents mentioned that its usually much better but there were a lot of people visiting today and the regular cooks were not probably there. Parking was a little bit troublesome when leaving. Seems that the security guard felt that my car wanted to stay the night. It took about 45 minutes to find the driver to move. "

"I am very pleased with the care my mother gets at Excel, and would recommend them highly. The staff is friendly and good with the patients. And the place is clean and orderly whenever I visit. My mother loves the activities and the food. "

"Baldomero Lopez State Veterans is wonderful to my dad. He has been there for about 2 months. It’s beautiful. The food is surprisingly very good. The staff there is very caring. There have been a few little incidents -- most of them minor -- and they call you right away to keep you informed about things that have happened even if they don’t have great consequence. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about how they render their care there."

"I visited a residents at Blue Heron today and was very please with the staff that was on duty Dwight, Terry and Michelle they were very helpful and caring."

"My mother,92 and cognizant, has been @ Habana since 2016. I rarely have complaints b/c I have things dealt with immediately b/c I visit 2-3 times a week @different times. I also bring in goodies for the staff. That may sound like bribery, but it really is b/c I understand they are not paid well, it’s not an easy job, and deserve recognition. I have had issues like a cna not showing compassion. I immediately calmly spoke with her and explained my mother’s need. It changed her behavior. I found her clothes were not taken good care of, so I do her laundry myself. I have no problem having things fixed by maintenance when needed. In other words, patience, understanding and kindness go a long way to making my mother’s time there relatively good. I will say that during COVID things have not been great and I can’t get in to make things right, but when my mother tells me something, I call and it’s remedied. I’m sure their jobs became even more difficult and frightening with COVID. Lastly, I will say that the night staff is less diligent in my view. Why? I don’t know. There job is just a bit less hectic. Oh, and the food is probably the least likable aspect. It really needs to improve. "

"This facility is the best, the nurses on the second floor. Nurses are the best, they listen and really try to help us when we needed help."

"Whispering Oaks was wonderful to my brother. When I left with him, they all came up to me and thanked me for allowing them to take care of him. They were excellent. My brother was there for three months. He had his therapy completed, his needs were met, and the people were kind and conversant with him. They enjoyed him and he enjoyed them. The nurses and administrators were great and wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to put him back there if he needed that level of care. The food was great and wonderful. It couldn't have been a better place. He was beautifully treated, the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the medical care was perfect. I was pleased."

"Could not have come to a better place! The staff treat you like family. Everyone from administration, to nursing, and rehab do everything they can to help me recuperate from surgery. The staff even bought all of the patients Christmas presents! "

"I'm at The Home Association right now. I have only been here for a week. The grounds and the building are beautiful. When I talked to them, they said they had a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, but they don't. Everything is canned, so that was a little bit of a disappointment. If I could go out and get my own food, it wouldn't be so bad, but they don't want me leaving the grounds. The rooms here are fairly small. I've been trying to get up every hour or so and take a couple of little steps just to build up my muscles. Most of the staff are nice. They seem to bend over backward for you. They have a nice dining room. They have several nice conference rooms. I haven't done any of their activities because I had other priorities. I was supposed to get my haircut today, but I was the only one who signed up for it, and they needed at least five people signed up to get a haircut. They have an activities calendar, and this afternoon they were supposed to have manicures. The food here is better than in the other place where I was, but still, there's a lot of it I can't eat. They have extra grain crackers and I like those. I have to take my medication, so I've asked for those crackers to take with the medication. With regards to cleanliness, they should clean up the sidewalks a little bit better because they have a lot of leaves and little twigs that have fallen. "

"The rooms are nice and enviromental folks do a great job keeping these rooms clean for the nice people that stay here for one reason or another. No poop smell here ! Most of the staff are nice , but some can b a little snippy For the most they are hard working people and some have been here a long time .My is off to them ! Really anything during this pandemic there not allowed out in public much other than dr . visits .they do have bingo some times and there is a deck out back with a couple vending machines so they get fresh air if they like ! Not sure have not been to long I am REHABING from neuro surgery its a slow climb but there has been improvements thank you Therapy WAY TO GO EVERYONE ! TW "
