"The rooms at Westminster was very nice. My mother loved it there. Someone comes in once a week and cleans her room, and they take care of everything. She talks with her neighbors, and they get along really well. During dinner, they would pick her up and take her over to the Towers and then bring her back to her apartment. I went to the Towers a couple of times where we played bingo, but she did not like it because the rooms were too small. But it seemed like a pretty nice place. "

"My mom was there at Riviera Palms Rehabilitation Center for a little over two months. I will highly recommend them to anyone. They were awesome, and it was good care. They called, and they were on top of it. They went above and beyond. The food was good, and she had awesome care. "

"I don't know what place Brianna is talking about but it certainly isn't Surrey Place in Bradenton, FL. I have lived most of my life in Bradenton and I have inspected Surrey Place a couple times for my Mother. It is a lovely facility in a very safe area of WEST Bradenton and has a good reputation among the medical community. I am sure Brianna has Surrey Place confused with another assisted living/nursing facility. Whoever is responsible for this website needs to check the comments more often. "

"Heritage Park is a nice rehab facility. It's smaller and it's basically designed more for people that are going to be in there for a period of time to either rehab or for hospice care. It's a great place for people needing those care, but the pricing there was way more than I can afford. We were in there when my wife had some physical problems for a rehab and Medicare paid for it, but if we have to pay for it ourselves, I wouldn't look at that place. It was just too expensive. Food was fair too. However, I thought that the staff was extremely good. They were really concerned and did an excellent job with my wife. Her improvement was important to them than anything. They would keep you in the loop and we had meetings with them regarding my wife. It was just fantastic. "

"Bradenton Health Care was nice. I was there as a patient for a while. Their therapy was wonderful. The food could improve, and it could be a little bit better. The staff was wonderful. It was clean. If I would have to go to a place again, I would go there. It was a skilled nursing, a rehab, but it also had a dementia unit. "

"Is this place the fanciest, more modern building in town? No. Should that matter to anyone? No. Most of the nurses have been there for years. That in itself should be all you need to know. In this time of nursing shortages and overwhelming illness, this place is the PERFECT place to send you loved ones. They WILL be taken care of!!"

"I want to capture a few words of reflection and thanks for the excellent care provided to my Father-in-law Rocco M. during his stay at Life Care Centers of Sarasota. Rocco came to Life Care Centers from another state. When he arrived he needed a lot of extra help with care and the luxury of not having to worry about his safety, healthcare, meals and housekeeping. Nina W., Executive Administrator, and her staff went above and beyond to assist with this major transition in Rocco’s life. There was a tremendous amount of conflict and divide amongst Rocco’s Children with regards to his end of life care. Nina and her team really shined helping us navigate through this stressful time. We are forever grateful for this. As Rocco’s care needs increased, the personal care attendants and nurses were attentive, and compassionate. I felt that my father-in law was always treated with dignity and respect. My Husband and I are grateful to the entire staff and healthcare providers who were there for Rocco and us faithfully during his time there. "The amenities here are wonderful. There is available transportation during all days of the week to surrounding activities and attractions. While my grandfather was recovering here, he was able to watch cable on the television in his room and also had internet so he did not get so bored. They offer all kinds of therapy here so there are residents who are recovering from all sorts of surgeries/accidents and there are also just residents who have settled down there. Every resident is extremely welcoming and kind. My grandfather loved the food here, they had a wide variety of choices, and if you didn't want to, you didn't have to eat at the exact same time every day for each meal. I was also glad that he had transportation to activities provided by the facility so that I did not have to take him places but he could still get out and do fun things. The staff is very friendly and I felt extremely assured that he was getting the best care possible. He recovered quickly and still keeps in touch with his friends. "

"We liked that the Hawthorne Center for Rehabilitation of Sarasota was very clean and was more relaxed. It felt less like a hospital and more like a home. I also liked the activities that they have. They have people that come in and play music for them. They also play games with them and do some courtyard activities."

"The staff was really nice at Crossbreeze Care Center. When I went in there, I talked to the director and asked questions, and they explained everything. But the facility needs to be updated. "

"Pines is a not-for-profit Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facility with a strong focus on high quality care, resident comfort and good relationships with families and friends. It began as the County Home with 6 homeless residents 50 years ago and has evolved into one of the premier care providers in the elder care community in Sarasota. Pines also manages two thrift shops in order to assist with rising costs. The people and facilities are first-rate! I served on its Board of Directors for 6 years but stepped off two years ago. "

"Sarasota Bay Club is excellent, but it's out of my financial reach. I've tried their Sunday brunches every week, and they're just outstanding. The rooms were fine. For the amount of money you have to spend to buy a place there, I did not feel it was worth it. They have a small library and an outdoor pool. They also play bridge where 36-40 people participate. I found the residents wonderful; in fact, I made friends that are residents there."

"I have my mother at Heartland North. The room seems adequate. It is small, but nice. People seem very helpful. They have quite few activities. They have bingo, card games, and music on the weekend. We chose it because my mom has been there before after an operation, so I am familiar with the place, and it is directly around the corner from where I live. It is very convenient for me. "

"Right now my mother is in Tarpon Point Nursing Home. She is only going to be there for two months because Medicaid has started. She is getting more care than she actually needs. She is enjoying it. Her room is a double room, she has a roommate, and she shares a bathroom there. She has been playing bingo and cards. She is just having a good time there. The staff is really good. They are polite. They have been excellent. The nurses are taking care of what she needs. "
