"My friend moved to Sun Harbor Healthcare. They're helping her with occupational therapy and physical therapy. She does have dementia, and they're trying to keep her oriented and that kind of stuff. They're very caring, nice people there. They all know her by name, and they're very good with her. It's very clean. It's an older place, and I was kind of hesitant when I first looked at it, but it's really clean. The housekeepers are there all the time to clean."

"After a total knee replacement on Jan. 6, I had physical therapy at PC Outpatient Rehab center. My therapists Nicole, Tera and Betty were an amazing team with all having specific specialties. All three were nurturing, demanding and quite professional. The facility has first rate machine equipment, and is very clean. Also, PCRC well stocked with supplementary accessories for balance, stretching and free weights. My program was individualized for me and as a result my progress was very effective. 9 weeks later I am playing golf, riding my bike and back to walking normally. Thank you to all at PC Out-Patient rehab, I could not have had a better experience."

"I would like to tell everyone looking for a healthcare or nursing home to please check out Englewood Healthcare. My sister came there as a rehab patience but later was moved to long term care. She had kidney dialysis treatments and many other problems. She was there over four years. She really adjusted well there. She had a very nice room and a wonderful roommate. They became best friends. The nursing staff was fabulous with the patience. She loved all the nurses and staff they treated her with respect and lots of care and love. They had a really nice bunch of people working in the kitchen and would try and please the patience. I was surprised how clean they kept the facility. My sister died there a couple months ago and I have never seen anyone so peaceful when she passed. All the staff came in and hugged her and told her they loved her, then they left crying. They were truly a family and the staff was excellent with our family always there to answer questions and give us support the last few days.. I would recommend this center to anyone they are above kind and helpful. When and if I ever have to go to a nursing home I will leave Columbus, Ohio and go there. Love them all so grateful we found them. "

"This review is for the rehab section. My Mom spent almost 2 weeks here after being released from the hospital. The nurses and aids and PO and OT personnel were professional and helpful. The room was clean and adequate storage was provided for her needs. You do need to be an advocate as far as needs not normally performed--- daily BP checks and lab work ordered by outside doctors. My Mom enjoyed the food and I was able to eat lunch with her at no extra cost. The case worker Linda was wonderful and accommodating, as the assisted living facility we were transferring her to across state required numerous forms, emails etc."

"The lady who helped me at Pinebrook was very helpful, but that was a skilled nursing facility and not an ALF. It is just very tired looking, and it is like it hadn't been redone since 1980s or something; that's why it didn't appeal to me at all. I didn't see any activities going on there. This is a place I just visited, and my dad didn't go there. My overall impression is there wasn't any activity going on, and it is a nursing home as opposed to the assisted living facility that my dad is in. They don't really have activities in nursing home because most people are confined to their room. That is of course what I saw; they were in their rooms. Everything looked very old. There is one little television from the 1980s. It just looks like it really needs some serious updating. I just didn't like that at all, but the staff was very helpful and very accommodating in answering all of my questions. The impression that they gave is wonderful, but that is not the impression the building gives. "

"Great facility. My husband is thriving from the rehab department. Everyone is caring and personal to my husband. They take time and patience with him. Even the food is good. Home cooking "

"Dad is at Consulate Health Care, and they seem like a pretty nice facility. I visited the facility about four times in the last couple of months. The facility seemed pretty clean to me. Most of the staff seemed pretty good. I know my sister had a problem with a few of them not being really attentive to things when my dad needed help, but so far I can't say anything negative or too positive with the staff. If there is one thing they need to improve on, I would say communication, because it seems to be that has been the ongoing problem my sister had with them, and I can see it too. "

"I couldn't say enough good things about Gulf Coast Village. The people that work there are lovely. We've talked to people and we've known people who live here in our own community who have sold here and gone there, and they can't say enough good things about that place, except that at our age, which is early to mid-80s, it's a $275,000 buy-in and then you're looking at another $6000 to $7000 to rent it. It's a bit of a turnoff. For us to spend that amount as late in life as we are and as close as we are to needing more assistance than independent living, it just wasn't a good fit for us right now. We have had many meals there. We were in their cafeteria, not a party, and ordered off the menu. The food was tremendous. Everything that I saw there was clean. The only problem is waiting in line for elevators, but that happens in any place that has a lot of floors. A lot of their people have a walker, a cane, or a wheelchair, although that's not your majority, but you may have to wait in line to get down to eat on one floor. Otherwise, the facility is lovely. They're very, very safe. When people go in, you have to register at the desk and get a badge before you can go in. So, you always have an ID on as a guest so that they know that there isn't somebody just wandering in."
