"I went to Quality Health Care, and it is a regular nursing home located at North Port. It is a nursing home, but compared to the other facility, it is much better. It is cleaner looking, and it is more modern looking. It definitely would have been a possibility if I was going to put my dad in a nursing home. They take Medicaid. It would have worked out if I had to go that route with him, but I'm trying to keep him out of a nursing home surrounding as much as I can. I heard good things about them. I was there between shifts and between meals, but they did have activities going on. I was there when it was President's Day, so they were all assembled in the little social room talking about President's Day and the Presidents. At least people were there, and somebody was making an attempt to bring them in to what was going on in the outside world. I thought that was pretty nice. The room looked pretty typical. They just looked like hospital rooms. They didn't really have much warmth to them, but it is a nursing home, and that is what I have come to expect. I would recommend this place as a nursing home. "

"My friend went in at Englewood for actual rehab. In looking around, this was the closest facility for her. My friend has been there since December. Since her physical condition went down, she wasn't able to return home, so we decided that she would be better off in a full-time nursing home. We chose this one because she was used to it, and she likes the people there. Also, we like her treatment, and the price was reasonable. The facility is clean and pleasant. They keep everything very tidy. There is no smell. It doesn't smell like some of the other places did. My friend shares a room with another individual. There is adequate space in her room. The food is OK. I'm frankly not thrilled with the food, but it is OK. For the full-time residents, they have a number of different activities; however, my friend is not interested in attending them. She has always been something of a loner. The staff is very warm and caring. They have regular meetings with the patient, the patient's caretaker, and various heads of department where the status of treatment is discussed. They take recommendations from the patient and from the patient's caretaker. I find that very helpful. "

"My mother is currently a resident at ManorCare of Venice. I cannot say enough about the facility and its staff. The halls and rooms are always clean and/or being cleaned. The rooms are spacious and the residents and/or their family can decorate them if they wish. There are always activities for the residents and when I peak into the activity rooms the staff is always interacting with the residents keeping them involved. They think of such creative ways to make it interesting and fun. The nurses are kind and helpful. They are always willing to answer questions I might have and really care about ther patients. I have seen them sit and talk to the residents making sure they have what they need. They are so kind and make you feel they love their job and the work they do. The aides, cnas, are always busy helping and taking care of my mom and the other residents. They too smile and are always kind. "

"This review is for the rehab section. My Mom spent almost 2 weeks here after being released from the hospital. The nurses and aids and PO and OT personnel were professional and helpful. The room was clean and adequate storage was provided for her needs. You do need to be an advocate as far as needs not normally performed--- daily BP checks and lab work ordered by outside doctors. My Mom enjoyed the food and I was able to eat lunch with her at no extra cost. The case worker Linda was wonderful and accommodating, as the assisted living facility we were transferring her to across state required numerous forms, emails etc."

"The lady who helped me at Pinebrook was very helpful, but that was a skilled nursing facility and not an ALF. It is just very tired looking, and it is like it hadn't been redone since 1980s or something; that's why it didn't appeal to me at all. I didn't see any activities going on there. This is a place I just visited, and my dad didn't go there. My overall impression is there wasn't any activity going on, and it is a nursing home as opposed to the assisted living facility that my dad is in. They don't really have activities in nursing home because most people are confined to their room. That is of course what I saw; they were in their rooms. Everything looked very old. There is one little television from the 1980s. It just looks like it really needs some serious updating. I just didn't like that at all, but the staff was very helpful and very accommodating in answering all of my questions. The impression that they gave is wonderful, but that is not the impression the building gives. "

"We moved my mother to Bay Breeze. The staff is excellent, very informative, and very caring. The sanitation is fine; it’s nice and clean. She is taken care of. Her room is bright and sunny. They have good maintenance people working with them. She had pictures hanging up and stuff. She is doing good there. "

"I found Coral Trace Helath Care Facility a nice facility with pleasant staff, always smiling. They have several new faces and a lot of positive comments that the facility's new administration and management leaders are very accommodating, people person and working together. I found this facility great and will recommend to any one. the staff and leaders go way anew beyond their job role. "

"Dad is at Consulate Health Care, and they seem like a pretty nice facility. I visited the facility about four times in the last couple of months. The facility seemed pretty clean to me. Most of the staff seemed pretty good. I know my sister had a problem with a few of them not being really attentive to things when my dad needed help, but so far I can't say anything negative or too positive with the staff. If there is one thing they need to improve on, I would say communication, because it seems to be that has been the ongoing problem my sister had with them, and I can see it too. "

"Gulf Coast Village Care Center was excellent. My mom was in a shared accommodation. And I thought it was adequate for the residents there. The staff in the nusing home was different from the assisted living side, and they were very good. She thought the food was good, although I haven't tried it yet. They had church service and some other activities for them. The residents could also go to the dining room if they wanted to have their meals there. "

"The first time I went at Rehad and Healthcare Center of Cape Coral, I was very upset and ready to leave. Nobody really greeted us, and then, somebody took us to my mother-in-law's room, but then nothing happened until I finally asked what was going on. I found out later that they had several patients who came in at the same time and things were not coordinated. What happened was not on purpose. She was there for about 21 days, and the care she got was pretty good. The staff were very pleasant with her. She had a roommate, and she did not like it at first, but then she adjusted to it. She liked the food, although I thought it was very repetitive. I thought that it all looked the same. It was an older facility, and it bothered me that the whole place was painted in either white, off-white, or tan. The rooms were older too, and small considering that there were two people with wheelchairs and both needed oxygen. "
