I am/was a resident of this facility

This place was the filthiest place I’ve ever visited or went to. I stayed there for a week and got myself out of there myself it was filthy, dirty disgusting it was horrific the staff was mean it took hours before they came and helped every time you asked them to help they said they were busy short staffed, in the hallways you could hear them say I’m not gonna work here anymore then they say they’re all from agencies that’s why they treat people the way they treat and then the ones that work for the company they’re not nice either so it’s like a double edge, sword in the shower room is just as disgusting as every place else they don’t wash anything or sanitize anything the Covid rooms they leave wide open when the CNA’s go in there, they don’t gown up!! The only decent people in there was the physical therapy and maybe a couple of people in between the nurses. Well, they’re much to be desired the male nurse well he was the only one that maybe was joyful he could’ve been a little more professional at times, but as a whole, this place was horrible. I wouldn’t send my pets there. I could go on and on and on about how bad this place is besides, it smelled like piss I could not even eat the food there. My husband had to bring in my food for me I waited till dinner time to even eat oh and then I had a little old lady who is 90 something years old she broke her hip they put her on a bedpan. She even said she could not go on a bedpan, but they left her there for almost an hour poor thing was crying , her family came in the next day. I had to tell them they were so mad. Needless to say she’s not there anymore.

I have a sister in your care. I called teice to see how she is doing. Got an answer the first time. My younger sister has been talking to the nurse Sherry who is taking care ov my sister who has contracted Covid. I called a second time and left a message..no call back. I live in Ohio. Another sister called as well as a nephew. Sherry told the first sister to tell us NOT to call and I am pissed. We all are not in Florida and want to know on a daily basis how our sister is. I am going to be 79 in September. My sick sister has always been close to me. Now my question can a message be given to the operator to the sisters without us BOTHERING Sherry. I am sure Sherry has hrr hands full but if this was her sister she would be pissed also. I would like to find out who the Administrator's name. I would like to communicate with Him/Her. Thank you.

This place had an outbreak of C-diff when my father was in for rehab. I came to visit him. No signs indicating that the entire wing pretty much had been infected. I walked into his room, The nursing assistant was sitting up on his dresser with her feet propped up on top of it. Dad sitting on the commode completely unclothed. No curtains closed between the beds. No special gloves, masks and gown worn by nursing staff. As I left that evening, I gave my dad a kiss on the forehead. I contracted C-diff. Had to stay home for a few days. I never saw him again until I recovered in those few days, and when I got the call to go to the ER because his health had declined. I managed to reach my Dad as he took his last breath. The C-diff took my father as well as other patients. I was the one who suggested the Consulate to my Dad in the first place. I will never forgive myself. And I would never recommend this place to anybody .... EVER.

This place is terrible. VERY understaffed; head nurse where my grandmother stays is rude and doesn't do her job.Residents are left in hallways and forced to stay in wheelchairs (even if they can walk), over medicated; the food is awful (you can't even tell what you're eating most meals); they will take your social security and/or pensions (whatever income you may still receive) EVEN if covered by insurance, without notification to the POA of the resident. The facility is so understaffed, the workers there cannot do their jobs properly, in turn, offering minimal care to residents. I have picked my grandmother up from this facility on more than one occasion. After calling first and giving HOURS notice, my grandmother was not only not dressed, but her Depends was soiled. All her clothes she moved in with are now gone, someone took ALL of them so she's always wearing sweats and crummy old shirts that don't even belong to her. Horrible. Do NOT put your loved one here if you can avoid it.

Dad is at Consulate Health Care, and they seem like a pretty nice facility. I visited the facility about four times in the last couple of months. The facility seemed pretty clean to me. Most of the staff seemed pretty good. I know my sister had a problem with a few of them not being really attentive to things when my dad needed help, but so far I can't say anything negative or too positive with the staff. If there is one thing they need to improve on, I would say communication, because it seems to be that has been the ongoing problem my sister had with them, and I can see it too.

Consulate Health Care is close to where I live. That was one of the key things, because I could be off there a lot and check on mom and close to therapy and everything we thought would be good. The therapists are very, very nice. I would probably think twice before I would recommend that place to anybody because I think some of the nurses and nurses' aides are very, very good at their job and then the others just probably need a little more training and compassion. It's an older facility and probably could be a little updated. It's a little awkward with the bathrooms, because they have the beds and the person closest to the bathroom. If the other patient has to go to the bathroom, they're going to pull their wheelchair out. It's a little small in that sense. It does have a little urine smell to it, which is obviously a turn off. The best thing about the facility is that they have very good nurses, therapists and aides that work there.

Consulate Health Care needs a lot of improvement. My husband is constantly complaining about the food. It was terrible.

I chose Consulate for my dad because it is conveniently close to my home. He has been there for five months now. It's a 24-hour nursing facility. The place itself is very clean and the service is very good. My dad also loves their foods there. Also we didn't have to switch him from place to place, that's why I prefer this facility from others.

When you have a loved one in a nursing home you want the very best for them. You want to know when you leave them that someone else has their best interest at heart and really cares. This is what I have experienced with Consulate and their staff. What a great group of people!! They are caring, kind and compassionate toward the residence. They are genuine and work together to make my father's stay as pleasurable as possible under the circumstances. I am more than pleased!

This facility has very poor staff. The residents are ignored and yelled at throughout the daytime, but especially at night time. There may have been one or two orderlies who were compassionate and cared about the people who lived there's well-being. I would not want a friend or a loved one to have to endure the emotional pain of living at Consulate. Also, many staff members do not speak English very well. I know they are told to not speak a language that the resident can not understand in their presence, it is a respect thing, and they do it anyways. Awful company, awful employees, needs to be shut down!
