"I have moved into Cypress Springs Gracious Retirement Living. I didn't have any problems. My interaction with the staff is good. My apartment is like a hotel room. It's more like a studio. I got a balcony, and I could sit outside. I've only been here two days, so I'm really not into their activities yet. They have a bus. The place is pretty nice. I'm on the fourth floor."

"We chose Elan Manatee Assisted Living & Memory Care for my mother. She will be moving there. The room sizes were nice. The kitchenette area was important to us. It seems that everybody that we saw and all of the residents there were very happy and very active in their day. We use that as a barometer for how my mom would feel in that community. The person that assisted us was very professional, very nice, very helpful. They just had a nice array of different activities that the residents could participate in. They were doing some exercises. We like to see that. They had some people reading in the lounge area and some people were playing cards."

"We moved here 2 ½ years ago and love this place. We have a 3 bedroom unit which is very handy when our grandkids come over. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place. It’s very clean and well taken care of and there are lots of activities to do here."

"Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch is a beautiful place, and I would love to live there, but I cannot afford that rate. I looked at their assisted living, but they have everything. It seems spacious to me, and there's so much to do. They have a beautiful swimming pool, which I would like to use. They have walking paths, and they have bridges that go across their waterways and come back around to the complex. If you want to take a nice stroll, you can go through the woods. It's gorgeous. The people there are fantastic. They're very friendly. The people who are living there now are very friendly, too. I got to talk to a few of them. The staff members were wonderful. The building was excellent. I met one of the maintenance men, who was cleaning while we were there, and he was very thorough. I was impressed with him. The rooms were amazing. I was impressed with them. I looked at a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom. For myself, I would want a one-bedroom. They're spacious and very nice. There's a refrigerator and a little kitchenette in there. The bathroom is very accommodating. It has a nice big walk-in shower."

"We have already booked Woodlands Village. They were very helpful and friendly and made my relative feel very welcome. He knows two gentleman there, and they found a room that's very close to the dining hall and the barber. Eveything is moving along nicely, and we're happy for the choice we've made. They have a dining room. The rooms are a nice size, and my relative is very pleased. "

"The Goldton reminds me of a cruise ship, beautifully decorated.All the staff are friendly, helpful, and happy. FOOD is excellent, care is great. My mom is in assisted living and love's IT. I don't have to worry about her, I know she is in great hands. Best part very reasonable for the care she is getting. Highly, highly recommend. Thank you Goldton for your great service."

"I've been to Sky Active The Venetian Gardens and it was a lovely place. It had a lovely setting. It was excellent. It was a beautiful tour, and I had a wonderful host. Eddie was very informative, very professional, very outgoing, and friendly. He took me to several of the units to look. He introduced me to some of the other staff there and even some of the residents. It was a very satisfying, very informative, and very enjoyable tour. I saw 2 or 3 apartments. Two of them were furnished, which makes it look even more attractive. They were nice and clean, with a nice view outside. It was a lovely setting, surrounded by trees, peaceful, serene, and very pleasant."

"I toured The Gallery at North Port. I like the amenities that are available for that situation. We like the floor plan. We looked at one unit. The environment was very positive. The people we saw there seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is important to us. Their amenities were the typical ones. They have a pool, various activities, and major social events. There are meals every day in the large eating area."

"Grand Villa of Englewood is awesome. The staff is so sincere in caring for the residents And for us, their family. They go out of their way. Mom has never been a craft or game person but she has been encouraged to join in and she liked it. The rooms are nice. My mom has Alzheimers so she says it's a beautiful hotel room. My sister & I know mom is in the right place. We love everyone there. We don't worry about our mom. "

"I took a tour of Sunnyside Village's independent living. I also have a friend who lives there, and I visit her maybe once a month. They have extensive grounds. They also have a lot of independent duplex houses and apartments, so they have a lot of independent living. Their assisted living is fairly small. They also have memory care, nursing care, and rehab. They have an outdoor pool and a library. I remember the apartments were especially beautiful. I also know they have a van or a bus that takes people to things. If I were going to stay in Sarasota, I think I would go to Sunnyside because it has a warmer feel to it, and it is also a little more affordable. The residents have a meal plan where they eat in the main dining room. During COVID, they boxed food and brought it to their doors for them. At one point, I did have dinner with my friend there, and the food was very good. My friend is very happy living there. I also think you get more value for your money there."

"Aviva Senior Living appeared very nice. However, the monthly fees were a bit high. The gentleman who conducted the tour was very forthright, was quite knowledgeable of the facility, and was able to go over things very clearly. We've reviewed a one-bedroom facility. It had a walk-in shower. It has a kitchen, so you can prepare your own meals if you choose. The calendar of activities appeared full. This is more of a higher educated group that gravitates there based on the type of things offered in their activities such as classical music options as well as the literary things available. They have an activities room and a gym. I enjoyed meeting the director of that facility. They also have rehab services. They have a salon for men and women for their haircuts and other programs such as nail service. The dining area was nice. It appeared on the small side, but it's going to be expanded. They had an active carryout service there for residents who wanted to take their meals to their room. They offered us the opportunity to return for a meal. It was very clean."
