"We found Lakehouse West for my mom. She hasn't moved in yet, but up until now, they have been wonderful helping with the move and helping renovate the apartment. They have been excellent so far. The apartment is nice sized, and it has a beautiful lake view. It should be perfect for what she's looking for. I like the facility, I like how clean it was, and I like the fact that the price was reasonable. I'm not sure how extensive their amenities are with the Covid, but they have a movie theater, a salon, a poker room, a heated pool, and a library. They pretty much have everything. The staff was wonderful. It's an older building, but it's very nice."

A laundromat and beauty salon are conveniently located on the premises. A 14-passenger bus takes residents shopping weekly. A professional Administrator, attentive office and maintenance staff provides quick response for resident needs. A Social Service Coordinator is on staff to orient new residents and be a resource for community services. "We toured the Plymouth Harbor on Sarasota Bay. They took us on the whole thing. It's a huge place. They've kept updating. Some beautiful artists come in there and all the walls have nice art on them. They have lots of activities, and take you to some places. That's why I like their location. They'll take you to St. Armands and that's a big shopping area that is by the beach. They've got it all there. The staff was very good. One gal took us and did one part and another one showed up. She did the other part, and then they gave us the booklet with the fees and all their activities."

"I visited The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch. It is very nice, but it's very expensive. They seemed to cover every single base you're there, and you can move as you deteriorate, or if you deteriorate into a more assisted facility, they take care of you until they bury you. So, it's complete, and I have a lot of friends there. They're all old, so they're not there forever, but I know some people there who speak highly of it. I've been over there to eat, and the food has been good, and the servers have been very attentive."

"I can not recommend this facility highly enough - 10 stars! The facility is clean, the rooms are large and well maintained, the grounds are beautiful. However, it is the staff that sets The Fountains apart. Both of my parents lived at The Fountains together until we had to move my dad to a different facility for memory care. It was then that I discovered just how special The Fountains staff is. They were loving and helpful through the process, and when I was able to compare the staff at my dad’s new facility to the staff at The Fountains, I was shocked to discover that not all facilities held their staff to the high standards that The Fountains does. We actually kept my mom at The Fountains because we loved the staff so much, and she still lives there now. During the recent hurricane I was again astounded by the high-level of care. Family members were kept constantly informed of the evacuation, the plan was well thought out and orchestrated to move residents inland to Orlando, and the staff to resident ratio for the trip was 1:2. The dedication to the residents never ceases to amaze me. There are daily activities for residents, beautiful grounds to walk on, a common area to gather in, pool, exercise room, and many other amenities, but what sets The Fountains apart is the staff, and when all is said and done, if you don’t have a caring staff, nothing else matters. I love The Fountains, and you will too. "

"I visited the Bay Village of Sarasota and toured the independent living. I did a ministry for our church, which involved going into senior communities, so I was already quite familiar with these places. I took this tour mostly to see more of it and to find out the financial aspects of it. The staff members were professionals, so they were used to giving the spiel and giving the tour. The visit was a group thing. There were quite a few people there because it was an event. I think it was a brunch, so it did involve food. There must have been 30 or 40 people there. They gave us the spiel, broke us up into groups, and gave us a tour. The food was very nice. I don't know if it was in-house food or not, but I think it probably was. They had just done a whole several-million-dollar renovation and were quite proud of themselves."

"My husband and I have lived here for 13 years. We chose to live in a Manor Park Home, which is across the street in the Manor section of Bradenton Tropical Palms Mobile Home Park. We walk or drive over to the main building and campus for our wonderful chef prepared meals; for all meetings, fitness center, library, Bible Study, etc. Every resident is so friendly and like family to us. Our staff members are the best! All areas of living are available to us as we age….. independent, assisted living, nursing care at our sister community . We are so thankful the Lord led us here from out-of-state."

"My family member absolutely loves it here. She said that throughout this pandemic she has felt very safe. The staff does everything they can to make her comfortable, even shopping for her once a week. They have really done a wonderful job of ensuring that anyone that comes into the building is safe to be around all the residents. I am grateful for them everyday. "

"I am so happy that my stepmother is in DeSoto Towers. There is 24/7 front desk. Maintenance is available, One thing I am very impressed with, the storms that have come across Florida that they were very consistent with safety of their people in the building. I Feel very comfortable with her there."

"Westminster Point Pleasant is a great spot. It's beautiful. They've got good people working there and my wife lives in a five-star unit. They have different buildings on their campus, some are with nurses and things like that, while she is in a rehab situation right now with some skilled nursing. It's well run and everybody is very loving, caring, and makes you feel good. The intake lady, Maj, is a wonderful woman. She's only been there three months, but she is a great girl. She is very caring, very helpful, listens to you, then answers your questions, and acts on them. My wife also thought the food was very good and when she was at a point where she couldn't eat, I ate it and for me, it was OK, definitely better than what I've ever had in a hospital. Then they have a therapist that goes around and works with each person in their room and she likes that too. So, I was hoping that my wife could stay there. She's on Medicare right now and she may only be there for another week or two since she's feeling a little bit better now."

"The people at Village On The Isle were very polite and answered my questions. I think I have all the information I need. The place was very nice and very well run. They had quite a few activities going on. The food was wonderful. The dining area was very clean and very well run. The staff was very efficient."

"Over the course of the past two months, my husband has been a patient at Westminster Suncoast Rapid Recovery Unit. The care and attention he received was excellent. The Assistant Director of Nursing for my husband's Unit made the entire process seamless. She was able to effectively communicate and correct issues between the nursing staff and my husband/the patient in a timely manner, and proficiently evaluated, solved and implemented these methods where needed. She maintained a professional but caring demeanor toward my husband/the patient and his family. Westminster Suncoast is fortunate to have this Director of Nursing as part of its staff."

"My wife and I will be moving into Sun Towers Retirement. It is right down the street, and they have a two-bedroom, two-bath, so, that's the one I'm getting. From what I've heard from individuals, I'd give it a five- nobody has any complaints, which is unusual. The person who gave me the tour answered every one of my questions with no hesitation. I have a Tesla, an electric car, and when she heard that, she got hold of some electricians, and they're going to put in a charging station for me out in the parking lot."
