Water’s Edge of Bradenton is a very special place for seniors to call “home”. My father, age 99, recently passed away after enjoying his final 3 years there. His independent living apartment was safe and cozy. The building decor and landscaping was tasteful and elegant. The staff is top-notch - attentive, kind, and helpful. Water’s Edge is a family. I highly recommend choosing Water’s Edge as a wonderful place to live.

We visited Water's Edge of Bradenton. The experience was very good. Our tour guide was outstanding. She provided us with a lot of information, answered all our questions, and gave us additional information we didn't necessarily think to ask. I felt that she was very dedicated to the facility. She represented Water's Edge well. There's a pool, an exercise room, and free spaces where people can gather in and sit and talk or play cards. There's a large community-type room where they have theater performances put on by them. We stayed for a meal. It was lunch and the food was outstanding.

We toured Water's Edge of Bradenton. I liked best that it was bright, clean and spacious. The staff was open, friendly, and knowledgeable. They offered everything. We saw a dining area and several apartments. It's a huge place. The unit's size was spacious, very clean, and bright. In terms of location, it's near hospitals.

Water's Edge of Bradenton is very nice. The apartments are very large. We have housekeeping and two meals a day. The meals were terrible before because the chef left without any notice, but they're getting better now. They've got Morrisons group who comes and does the meals and we're getting much better service. The waiters and waitresses are well-trained. The people here are very friendly. It's like a family. It's nice. I would rate the amenities a 5. For the upkeep, it's a 4. They're doing better on that, too. They just did a whole new landscaping in the front and so that looks very nice. We do a lot of different activities. There's the gym so we do a lot of exercises and fun online dancing there. Then we have people come into the cove, which is a small area that we also used for religious service. The chaplain is fantastic. He is really good. We go on trips where we just have been to St. Petersburg for a scenic boat tour at sunset and that was very good. We've been to other places as well, like a nice restaurant at a very fancy and exclusive place in Sarasota. They've just had a garden club come and help with planting flowers and a couple. It's in the back of the place, which needs a little bit of flowers, and so the activities are really good.

My husband and I are moving in at Water's Edge of Bradenton. It was much more reasonable and affordable than the other places we looked at. They have care if it's needed, they have restaurants, swimming pools, and workshops. We're having a single villa. It's got two bedrooms, two baths, a 2-car garage, and a lanai out in the back. The staff who assisted us was excellent and answered all our questions.

Water's Edge of Bradenton was gorgeous, but it was way beyond our expectations. It unfortunately is a lot of money and we're not sure about that yet. They only showed us the apartments, and that's all we were interested in. It's a very nice complex. The staff was friendly for the most part. We did not see a lot of activity. However, they certainly had a large list of activities available. We like Water's Edge a lot. They have a full kitchen, but they offer a two-meal plan, so when are you going to need a full kitchen? You're paying for that. It's just kind of redundant to us.

My mom moved into Water's Edge of Bradenton. I love the room they got for her and the layout of the whole place. Everybody is very friendly and very nice. I also like the convenience of getting there. Everybody I've talked to so far has been great. The food was good. My mom has done a few activities, but I haven't talked to her since she's done them. There's a refrigerator and a microwave in the apartment. They have a swimming pool.

The rooms are spacious and up to date. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We love the wine and cheese parties and the activities that are scheduled. The facility has a full gym and heated outdoor pool. They offer two meals per day and the food is delicious. We frequently eat with my mother. The staff is very accommodating and provides excellent service. The staff is very good and my mother is happy and the other residents are very friendly and make you feel like you are family.

We toured Water's Edge of Bradenton. It was good. We had to go back a couple of times because we couldn't get in and there was no one there, so when we finally did get a callback for the appointment, it was good. It was more on the expensive side, but not as much as the other facility. It was nice and new. It was in the middle. We didn't try food, but the chef came out and met my mom. We didn't really see any amenities, and the staff didn't get into specifics. She gave us a social calendar, but I think I didn't dig in too deep there because I didn't think it was on the top of our list. There was a beautiful room with a breakfast nook that was exactly what my mom was looking for. But for that room, it was as high as the other facility, and it's only one meal a day. They go to Walmart, to Target, and to the pharmacies, and they have bus trips, but the staff didn't get into the activities too much. We saw three different types of rooms.

We went to Water's Edge of Bradenton and toured over there. One of our concerns wherever we end up is we want our son from Colorado to live with us. Water's Edge said, "Yes, he could." They're a lot more flexible than where we are currently. The thing I liked the least about Water's Edge is it's more expensive. Their parking is a lottery. Some of them were covered, some were not. The nice thing was they had the villas available; but there's a waiting list for them, and then there's no food with that. In the regular independent living, they serve two meals a day, (any of the three: breakfast, lunch or dinner), and it's in their cost. If you're on the villas, you're on your own. All I had interaction with was the salespeople. They had a gym and a pool, and the gym was fairly well equipped. The facility was clean. Their rate structure was just a little bit high.

Water's Edge of Bradenton seemed to have everything that we were looking for. We have visited several times and probably we'll go back some more. It made my wife feel better that they had everything available. I had two that were assisting us, and they were excellent. They answered all our questions, and if they couldn't, they went and found the answer. Hopefully they will become friends. They were very knowledgeable, and you could speak to them, and ask anything you wanted to. The food was good. I'm sure they have to cook for many, and special needs, and what have you, but it was very good. They had the pool, the fitness center, just everything was there. The rooms were very nice and spacious. They seemed to have a lot of activities, and that's what we were looking for. They had good security there, and they had the medical stuff, and the washer and dryer was in the room, which we wanted. Everything was available.

The quality of food and the cleanliness of the facility has declined substantially since my parents moved in two years ago. Mold has been found in their apartment as well as others and has not been addressed. Basic food staples are routinely unavailable and what is delivered is often inedible and truly unhealthy. In addition, staff turnover is very high and there is an inadequate number of dining hall and cleaning staff.

Water's Edge of Bradenton was lovely and much bigger than others, and they had a private screened-in outdoor space. They had covered parking, a marvelous community center, lots of clubs, beautiful views, places to walk around, beautiful heated pool, and lots of activities. The staff was so friendly, go out of their way to show you around, and they're very helpful. The food was marvelous, and their chef had lots of awards. It's a beautiful facility with wonderful people, and the guards were nice.

Water's Edge of Bradenton is very nice. The staff is excellent. The apartments had a variety of layouts and majority of them had some kind of a nice view. They all had washers and dryers in the units. The dining room looked like a dining room in a hotel. They had a nice movie theater, large fully-equipped exercise room, and a nice outdoor heated pool.

Water's Edge of Bradenton is a wonderful place to live. It is a community with three buildings: assisted living and memory, independent living, and activities, which is good. It has awesome activities. We have a great, heated swimming pool. The apartments are big and very well situated. The best thing about the apartments compared to what I have seen is the size and the facilities. I have been here for seven years now, and it's a good place. The food is excellent, and the staff is great.

This facility is terrible. My father was a resident here and they were understaffed and often left the residents unattended in the memory care unit. My dad lost a lot of weight and they didn't always assist him with his meals. The facility was unable to meet even his basic needs, to the point they called 911 numerous times. We had to get ACCA involved and work with an ombudsman. The staff was rude and lacked compassion. We moved him to another state and he was near death after being at Waters Edge for about a month. Stay away!

Water’s Edge is a very nice, new place, but very expensive. The surrounding area wasn’t as nice. The rooms were spacious. I had one meal which was good and the dining area was good, too

My mother is at Water's Edge of Bradenton. It is very nice. She has a fairly large apartment, and it seems pleasant enough. She says the food is good; she gets breakfast and dinner. They have a bus that takes the residents places they can sign up for, church services for Catholics on Thursdays, bus transportation on Sundays, bridge club, crossword puzzle club, and crafts club.

Water's Edge of Bradenton is beautiful, but it is really expensive. The facility is a multistory building. They have a beautiful dining room. They also have all the amenities of assisted living with medication and stuff like that. Even in the retirement area, they have a small section for assisted living, and they have a separate dining room there, too. We have friends at Water's Edge of Bradenton. They love it there. They have been there since it opened up. They’re just regular retired people. They don’t need assisted living. They love everything that goes on there. There are all kinds of activities. They have the same ones as other places, but the facility is a newer building, so the library is more extensive and bigger. I met the director of human resources, and she was very nice. The receptionist was very nice, too. The doorman knows everybody, i.e., who’s coming and going. It is like a gated community but way more expensive. You have to have money to live there, that’s for sure, but we like it.

I very much liked Water's Edge of Bradenton. They have the best selection of spaces and rooms. You can get virtually anything you want there, including separate villas.

I like Water's Edge; it’s close, and it’s a gated community. My friend is going to be with assisted living with very minimal assistance with a companion. They’re very nice, and I know a person that used to live there a few years ago. It’s beautiful like a resort; it’s outstanding, clean, and decorated. It has a gym, a pool, and a library. It has a beautiful dining area. It’s a retirement community, but you don’t see any of the medical staff in nursing homes. You have to have a little bit of financial resource in order to pay, but it’s not really as pricey as all the places are very pricey.

What we saw at Water's Edge was very nice. We did not choose this one because it was multi-level. I thought it would be difficult for my parents to go up and down the elevator and, at the time we went there, they did not have a one-bedroom apartment available. They only had studios available, and that was too small. The dining room was clean and bright. They had a whole lot of things listed including a pool with lots of activities and a library; there were a lot of things. We really did like it, but they didn't have what we needed at that time and, being multi-level, we didn't want the elevator problem. It's a very new facility.

They provide a pretty good service. The staff is good, and they are friendly too. The apartments are large. There are two dining rooms, but the main one is on the ground floor, and these two large rooms provide all the services. They have several field trips that they go on, and they got in-house things like movies, get-togethers, and things like that. Water's Edge could improve on their bus or valet service for the residents.

We stayed at Water's Edge. This was a very upscale facility and quite costly. It was very deluxe. It had just about anything you can dream about, e.g., swimming pools and movie theater. It was a beautiful place if you can afford it, but we were there for short-term while my wife was recovering from surgery, so I didn't mind the expense.

The lady that took us around Water's Edge did a great job. It was a great place; I liked it. They had a pool and an exercise place, and it seemed clean enough. The atmosphere I would say was more homey. I don’t know how old it is, but it seemed like pretty new, and from what I understand, I think they’re going to enlarge it, too. They’re beside a Baptist church. I didn’t think it was a good location because I’m ninety years old who lives in a condo association and can drive to three different grocery stores; but Water’s Edge is not near grocery stores at all.

My parents moved to Water’s Edge. It was close to where they lived, they were satisfied with what they saw, and they were able to keep their dog. They have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room. They have all kinds of things going on. They have dance groups coming in, music, ice cream socials, and outdoor activities.

Water’s Edge had several levels, and the gym was not in the building with the rooms. It was clean, very nice, and it was recommended by my friend’s psychologist. The staff was very nice, and they invited us for barbeque. His room would have been on the third floor, and he would have to wait by the elevator to eat on the second floor. He falls all the time and he can’t stand up, so to me that would have been terrible. They need a dining room on every floor so the tenants don’t have to wait by the elevator.

I was able to look at Water's Edge and I was very much impressed with the facility. It's very neat and clean. They had all the amenities that I like. It’s a newer place and it appealed to me very much, but it's very expensive and I cannot afford it. Everything about the facility is well-taken care of. The staff answered everything I wanted to know.
