"My experience with The Barrington was wonderful. We found my mom a really nice one-bedroom apartment there. When she transferred from the other facility to The Barrington, I came into town for a week to help my sister pack up my mom's condo. They allowed me to stay there for the full week with my mom. She has a sofa sleeper, so it was really nice. I was not allowed to dine with her in the dining room or do any of the activities with her because of COVID, which is completely understandable, but they were wonderful letting me stay there for a week with her. They were very helpful when I would move things from her condo into the apartment, they gave me a little wagon to borrow, and they were just so sweet. The staff there was just very kind and loving with her. I can vouch for the staff there because I saw them care for my mom. They have so much going on. They had happy hour on Fridays from 3:00 to 5:00, they would have entertainers with bands come in, they did a Hawaiian luau for the residents. They would come take my mom down to the dining room. She got to sit and visit with people while she'd have her meal. She said the food was delicious. When she would push her call button (she had a little pendant necklace), there were a couple of times it took someone a while to get there, but of course they were tending to another resident at the time. I would say within 15 minutes somebody was coming into her room. They came in a couple of times during the night to check on her, which was difficult when I was staying there, but I know it was good for her. It was very clean, it was very homey, and she felt like she had her own apartment. The activities were great. They did crafts. They had somebody come in and do manicures and hand massages. It was just a wonderful facility. It breaks my heart that she can't go back there."

"Absolutely fabulous facility! They were terrific. Absolutely terrific. They showed us around and they were informative. I thought they did everything right. I like the place, it was very good. We get to sample their food and it was great. I was very impressed with everything. I thought they were excellent! "

"This community has the friendliest, most courteous staff I have ever encountered in an assisted-living/senior/rehabilitation community. They are extremely attentive and go out of the way to make sure the residents are happy and taken care of. They take extra time to sit with residents and check-in to see how they are feeling and what they can do to help.The grounds are also kept up well. There is always some watering the lawn and patrolling the property to pick up any trash. The inside is always very clean and smells fresh. There has never been a time that it looks unkempt or unclean.They have state of the art facilities and try to keep everything such as pool tables and books in the recreation room, and video game systems with flat screen televisions, up to date and working properly. The kitchen always serves high quality, delicious food. The food is always fresh and prepared when ordered instead of being served cafeteria-style. "

"We went to tour the Grand Villa of Clearwater. It was just acceptable. It was nice. There was very little that we didn't like. They were refurbishing the apartment that we would have there, and they were willing to let us pick out the carpet, the flooring, and the color of the walls, so it would be just like brand new when we move in. I was pretty impressed with that kind of attitude. I like it better than some of the ones that we looked at. The little kitchenettes, I didn't like them well. They were not set up as nicely as some of them. The staff was wonderful. They were just very welcoming. We saw the dining room, but we did not eat any meals."

"My parents are now at Brookdale Bayshore. They have a beautiful view of the bay. The dining room and food are excellent. All of the services are provided, including medication maintenance, showering, checking on them, and dressing. They have a very compassionate staff and good activities, like happy hour every Friday, movies, bingo, and shopping trips. They also have somebody who comes in to sing and play piano. Transportation to doctors' appointments is provided. "

"This is a 5 star review for the staff on the 2nd floor. Thank you for taking wonderful care of my Dad in his last few months of life. These caregivers are compassionate, caring, and professional. The took care of my Dad like family. I watch them also with the other residents and all I see is a true commitment in making all the patients happy and comfortable. There are no words to express my sincere thanks and gratitude for the great work you do. May God bless you all and thank you. "

"I toured Stratford Court of Palm Harbor. It was very nice, the staff was very nice, and friendly. We decided if we were gonna go that route that would be the place we would have chosen. They have a pool, a library, and a common entertainment area."

"I was looking for a facility for my mother. Coral Oaks has assisted living and independent living and has the activities that she preferred over most of the other facilities. The main thing was that they play a lot of bridge at this facility, which is what my mom plays, too. The people at the assisted living can use the amenities of the independent living facility if they are able to ambulate there. They also have daily outings to different stores like Walmart, the mall, grocery stores, drugstores, and restaurants. They’ll take them to go for a drive around the area for sightseeing, to look at houses, and just to get out and ride around. They have a really nice dining room. The facility is extremely updated and clean with really nice lighting, new paint, and new carpets. "

"The Meridian at Brandon was beautiful. I wanted to move there myself. It's brand new. The rooms looked nice. The staff was very lovely and spent a lot of time with me. The problem was that the medical personnel came to visit my mother and said they couldn't take care of her. I saw a studio and a one-bedroom apartment. They had a beautiful room for the residents to watch videos. They had an art studio, a courtyard, and a beauty salon."

"It was very beautiful and inviting. The rooms were nice, and the people were very helpful and welcoming. It’s very clean, the people were very nice, and the clients were happy. They had an area to watch movies and kitchen areas. The outside was kept nice with tons of activities and a barber shop. The staff was very pleasant. "

"I toured the Hawthorne Estates of Brandon. I like that the community is small. There are only 69 residents, and it's all contained in one building. There's no pool and no gym. They do have a lot of extra amenities, but they're not a necessity for me. The staff was wonderful. Hawthorne was like a hotel-looking thing. Everything was on the outside of the building, yet there was an atrium you could look down on."

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."

"I am moving to Osprey Heights Gracious Retirement Living. What I like best is its location, the people who run and manage the property, and the physical plant. The staff were all wonderful. I can't say enough good things about them. The architecture is superb and ideal. Of all the places I visited, they offered the most activities, so I was most happy with that. They had two buses there and they were always going and moving. They go around shopping, going to doctor's offices, medical appointments, pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens, or off to the movies. They had a lot of activities that you could choose from, which was wonderful."
