"We (I) have adequate room, wish I had a garage to tinker around in but there's a craft room, a wood shop and a workout room I can get to if I get tired of just sitting. The food is good, prepared well and served by many personable young people; one has to remember it's institutional food, like High School lunches, and after a few years you find you need to go out and eat something with a pop of spice. Staff is great, housekeeping is wonderful and the eye appeal of the grounds is beyond reproach."

"I loved the location of American House St. Petersburg. I loved the newness of it. It didn't seem to have a lot of residents there at the time. Maybe they were in their rooms or going out. I was impressed with the newness and cleanliness of it, but the price was too expensive. The dining area was excellent. Everything looked excellent because it was so new."

"The staff at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor was wonderful. The facilities were clean and bright. Everything was positive about our experience there. The food was good. It was a very pleasant experience. The salespeople, the staff, and the facility were all great. What they're trying to do is offer you affordable living, but all of the amenities are in the public part of the building rather than your private residence and I get that. It'd just be nice to have more room, but no complaints. It wouldn't stop me from going there. It's clean and bright. It is well-trafficked and despite that, it didn't feel like you were moving into any type of care facility. It felt wonderful."

"I have visited Coral Oaks and I only met one person on the staff and she seemed very nice, have been there 16 years so I think she would be knowledgeable of it. I visited two rooms and it seemed very nice. The meal that I had on two different occasions was very good. The dining room setup had round tables for about 40 people and it was a little crowded in that room. They have crafts, play cards, recreation room that they play Wii. "

"Addington Place at College Harbor was very nice, and I loved it, but it was out of my price range. The staff was friendly, said hello, and smiled. The amenities that I wanted were there. It's right on the water and had a fishing dock and equipment, so I don’t have to buy a fishing pole. It seemed like the staff was overworked."

"My parents are now at Brookdale Bayshore. They have a beautiful view of the bay. The dining room and food are excellent. All of the services are provided, including medication maintenance, showering, checking on them, and dressing. They have a very compassionate staff and good activities, like happy hour every Friday, movies, bingo, and shopping trips. They also have somebody who comes in to sing and play piano. Transportation to doctors' appointments is provided. "

"We will move into here. It was almost brand-new, clean as a whistle. The staff was very, very nice. Both my partner and I use walkers at the present and Rita, was very compassionate, showed us all we needed to see, but at our speed, and they explained everything the first time we met. And then when we went back in to sign the paperwork and get more paperwork, she was equally as helpful. She let us look again at the exact apartment we're getting so we would have an indication. The layout makes sense. It's all centered out from the lobby, there are elevators to each end of the hallways, and getting out to the pool was easy. They're on ten acres. They have a swimming pool. If you have a walker or wheelchair, you have that entrance into the pool. They have a theater. They have an arts and crafts room. They have all kinds of activities like they had just come back from the Hard Rock Casino. They go shopping. We happened to drive, so that wasn't so important."

"We visited Tampa Gardens Senior Living. They're remodeling everything, so there are a lot of rooms that have been updated, so that was nice. The dining room was nice. Their activity room was nice. It was well done, well-appointed, and updated. The dining area looked more like restaurant dining. There were tables, nice little napkins and plates, and glasses on the table. It was very well presented."

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."
