"They seem like very nice people. They have nice rooms. We weren't there for lunch, and I didn't see the food, but they have a nice clean place. They were good. For what I've of seen of it, everything seems to be nice. "

The food is good, prepared well and served by many personable young people; one has to remember it's institutional food, like High School lunches, and after a few years you find you need to go out and eat something with a pop of spice. Staff is great, housekeeping is wonderful and the eye appeal of the grounds is beyond reproach."

"I loved the location of American House St. Petersburg. I loved the newness of it. It didn't seem to have a lot of residents there at the time. Maybe they were in their rooms or going out. I was impressed with the newness and cleanliness of it, but the price was too expensive. The dining area was excellent. Everything looked excellent because it was so new."

"My mother moved into Coral Oaks three weeks ago. It's very nice. The food is excellent. The staff is very caring and she's very happy. There are a lot of activities she participates in, and every day they have different activities going on. They have bingo, card games, painting, crafts, ceramics, entertainment, and people coming in singing and playing musical instruments. They have non-denominational services. They paint nails. They have movie matinées, evening movies, and many things."

"Addington Place at College Harbor has been there for quite a few years. It used to be apartments for the university professors at Eckerd College. It's very close to Eckerd and it's on the water. It's really beautiful and it's my first choice. They got beautifully landscaped gardens, and the apartments looked out over the water. John took me on the tour and he was very good. I went for lunch there once and the food was very good."

"The staff and the quality of care that Brookdale Bayshore provides for the residents stood out to me. I had a direct experience because I had an 86 year old cousin that resided there for a year and a half before she passed. I had lunch there, and the food was good. You have a choice because they have a selection. They have a selection plus a salad bar and wine for dinner. They have the quality of care plus the extra-curricular activities that they provide the client. On Fridays in the afternoon, they have a community happy hour. They either have a pianist that comes in or another musician, and they have music provided at that time. I was very happy with the tour. "

"We visited Tampa Gardens Senior Living. They're remodeling everything, so there are a lot of rooms that have been updated, so that was nice. The dining room was nice. Their activity room was nice. It was well done, well-appointed, and updated. The dining area looked more like restaurant dining. There were tables, nice little napkins and plates, and glasses on the table. It was very well presented."

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."

"The Meridian at Brandon was an excellent place. It was a brand-new property, and everything is well taken care of. The people were very nice and very thorough. The tour and information they gave me were detailed. I was very impressed with that facility. It was located in a very quiet location. The residents there seem to be very active. If I decide to stay in a senior place long term, I will go back to them. The 1-bedroom was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The area to relax in and the dining area were nice, too."

"I toured the Hawthorne Estates of Brandon. I like that the community is small. There are only 69 residents, and it's all contained in one building. There's no pool and no gym. They do have a lot of extra amenities, but they're not a necessity for me. The staff was wonderful. Hawthorne was like a hotel-looking thing. Everything was on the outside of the building, yet there was an atrium you could look down on."
