"The Bay Pines Nursing Home is an outstanding facility located on the grounds of the campus of the Bay Pines Medical Center and Regional Office. Bay Pines Nursing Home is on Boca Ciega Bay and the Gulf of Mexico in the Tampa Bay Area. The facility is modern, clean and well maintained. Residents are allowed to fish and enjoy the bay that is next to the nursing home. There are many recreation and educational activities available on campus for residents and family members. The nursing home staff are professional and well trained. They are attentive to the residents and provide an array of services to maximize healthy activities for residents. "

"I dis enrolled my family member from their managed care hmo just to get them in here. was never unhappy. from the direct care staff to the top notch rehab to the mgmt. team i couldn't find an area to criticize. i am sure their care extended my persons life as her prognosis was bleak. in the end they were there when i wasn't and stayed by her side till i arrived shortly after she died. i am a health care professional and work in these environments, trust me when i say this place is the best in Pinellas county . "

"I thought they were very good at Palm Garden of Pinellas. They had a lot of activities, the rehab was good, and everybody was very friendly. It was a very nice place and very clean. I liked the fact that they had the activities. The nurses were attentive to my mom and made sure that she got to do everything including activities. And then, the social services were good because they explained a lot of things to us about what we can do and gave us a lot of information. "

"At the initial interview and even once my mother-in-law arrived, we were very impressed with the facility and it's staff as they seemed friendly and positive. However, we should have seen it coming because when we showed up to check her in, no one seemed to know what was going on and we waited 30 minutes in the lobby before anyone could tell us where to go. There were positives and negatives, my mother-in-law said the physical therapy staff were all great and helpful as well as the "administrative staff" but the CNA's and nurses were over-worked and rude. The worst part was that as soon as her Medicare ran out, they practically kicked her to the curb. We were called at work with no advance warning and told to pick her up that day or she would owe $6000.00. She was not done with her physical therapy yet and ended up back in the hospital a week later. Also, she was given a wheelchair and oxygen while she was there and they wouldn't let us take the oxygen for the night even though the supply company was closed for the day. "

"My husband is at Tierra Pines Center. It's very good. The staff seems pretty good. I haven't been there personally, since he had been there since the pandemic. I've seen his room on the phone when I call him, and it looks pretty good, clean, and painted, and it has a lot of light and a window. I think he's eating all the time because he has not lost weight, but I haven't seen how the food is. He has Alzheimer's. They have a care-plan meeting that you can request ahead of time, and they all get together for a conference call with you. The only thing I have to complain about is the phone system is awful. It's very hard to get a hold of the patient, because either it's a very old system, or they don't have a phone where the nurses are in the locked unit. Other than that, I don't have any problems. The facility looks good, but I haven't been inside the place. They provide medical doctors. There haven't been any issues. It's a very good place. I think my husband feels comfortable. I know the nurses are busy. I think nobody there is picking up the phone like they should because they're all doing something else -- they were occupied and busy. From the beginning, they have been taking care of him and if something happens, they will call me. The other day, he needed a change of medication because he was getting a little bit agitated. He has Medicaid, and they haven't asked me for anything."

"The room I have been in has exceptional size and real good size personal showers, the food is very unique and not something made out of frozen foods. The Staff of CNAs and Nursing are there as I have needed them"

"I have nothing but praise for Sabal Palms Health Care Center. The facility is clean and the care is superb. From the day my parent was admitted they were treated with care and you could tell the staff was their to do their jobs and they did them well. Mom had some "issues" with the food initially but the dietary manager stepped in and things were resolved quickly. The therapy team was great: very caring and professional; in fact everyone was caring and professional. Everyone from nursing and Social Services to Housekeeping were friendly and always smiling, which helped my Mom keep her spirits up. Communication was good and within about two weeks I was invited to a care conference where my Mom and I were informed of her progress in therapy. Mom was eventually discharged home and has shared with her friends how pleased she was with the care and suggested that if they ever need a rehab center, they should definitely go to Sabal Palms. "

"My wife was at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Largo for three weeks. It was an excellent rehab. She had 3 to 4 hours a day, and she's back where she's at least walking on the walker. Also, her mental capacity has come back a lot, so she's almost 100% better than when she went in, so it's very good. The staff were really good. It was all paid for through Medicare. There's a double room. They've got 2 or 3 gyms that they used for rehab. People come in there for 2 to 3 weeks and then they're in and out."

"I was for the most part pleased with this facility and it's cleanliness. Also, the friendliness of the staff was quite good. They took fairly good care of my grandfather, and provided sources of entertainment and amusements for the seniors staying there. They seemed to genuinely care about him and passing all pertinent information on to our family about his care. There were some instances where I was disappointed in the manner in which he was treated or left in a dirty linen for too long, all in all I would say they did a good job, aside from those instances mentioned above. When he passed away they were very kind and expressed a deep sympathy for our family. The price from his stay was partially covered under his Medicare insurance I believe. I appreciate all of the care they did provide for my Grandfather in his last months of life. "

"My husband is at The Care Center at Pinellas Park. He hasn't been there that long, and they seem to know what they're doing. They're under new management. It used to be called Signature HealthCARE of Pinellas Park. I've met all the staff on the third floor where David is. They seem to be competent, hardworking, and friendly. He has physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. He has Parkinson's and dementia. He's in a clean room with two beds, which I'm pleased with, and a bathroom. The food was the one drawback. They have a lot going on there."
