"I guess there was a miscommunication on my appointment for Saturday. There was no one there to show me around. Finally, the activity director, interrupted her pickle game to come and show me the model room and answer a few questions. I was told someone would call me next week with prices, availability, etc."

"I have two very spacious rooms and two baths as well as a beautiful porch. The one meal a day is always delicious and we're able to bring home anything we can't eat, which is often my dinner at night. The grounds are always beautiful and so well kept. We have a wealth of activities. Our staff are always so helpful and polite. It is really like being on a cruise without the water! I really love living here! Florence F."

"Since moving into a spacious independent living apartment 14 months ago, we have experienced resort living with the added bonus of a Wellness Center and 24/7 EMT services. In addition to a caring management and staff, add on expertise! Hurricanes? No hassle for residents, because EVERYTHING is under control! Top management moves into our complex with generators, dining, communication, medical assistance…all covered! Tina Turner sang it and we agree: “Simply the best, better than all the rest.”"

"My friend is at Freedom Village of Bradenton. It's a very nice place. They're very caring, and that's what I like best. The upkeep is very good. The rooms are just recently renovated, so they're very nice. Their food is very good. It tastes good, and there's a choice between two different meals, so that's nice. There are activities there. They're kind of challenging for some of them, but they are nice. They are good. The cost is kind of high, though."

"I found the nursing staff to be friendly, and caring. Most of the cna,s are hard working, and helpful. I enjoyed therapy. The therapists are very good, and can make it fun. The activity department is a busy place, with bingo, cooking, manicures, gardening, live music, and more. The bathroom floor was always dirty, and complaining didn,t do any good. "

"I was at Bayside Rehabilitation and Health Center. The rehab people were very good. The nurses were not very good and not very caring, and the doctors came in very, very short, literally 5 minutes at most to spend time with you. They were good doctors and they tried to do the best for you, but they were only allotted so much money. The food was terrible. They kept the place very clean, but the structure of the building was not very good at all. They had all kinds of games and they watched TV. They tried to do things with their residents, and that was one thing that they were good about."

"Don’t judge a book by its cover. Yes, is an old facility, however the care my mom received was outstanding. Staff was very visible, kind, caring and compassionate and accommodating. This is a small place with a homey atmosphere. Much better care than other beautiful, shiny, well decorated rehab facilities she was in before. "

"We were happy to visit the the Wirick while in the vicinity - visiting assisted living facilities for my friend's mother. Our tour of the outside grounds was lovely; there were flowers and shrubs everywhere, with nice seating areas. The staff was very friendly and all seemed to really like their jobs. The variety of activities offered was impressive. Just about any hobby you might have can be accommodated - and more. The main living areas were fresh, clean and sunny with a contemporary, yet homey décor. The staff goes out of its way to suggest stimulating things to do - from gardening, to reading, playing games and outings in and around the community. The lunch we saw while there looked really delicious. Residents may order from a menu which included an impressive array of selections. The rooms we viewed were all very clean, well-kept and inviting - kind of resembling what you might find at a motel or bed and breakfast. The gym equipment in the exercise room had a variety of options to choose from. The residents all looked very well taken care of by and seemed content with the kind and caring staff. It was clear that the seniors were enjoying this stimulating, yet peaceful living environment. "

"Putting a relative into skilled nursing on a permanent basis is a tough decision. I am a court appointed guardian and sister of a resident. I can not say enough good things about the Staff at Laurelwood. The professional staff is very caring and DO, ADON, Social worker and activities director are especially vigilant and caring. The majority of CNAs are quite good as well. Nursing staff for the most part are good and caring. This is a small facility that makes getting around easier for for residents. This facility is especially adept at managing residents with behavioral and mental Heath issues. "

"Every time I visit this nursing home the staff has been nice and polite. I was really pleased to hear the residents and staff were safe during hurricane Milton and never lost power. There is a lot of longevity here with the staff which says a lot. This facility is nice and clean. I visited other nursing homes before and overall this facility has been the best."

"My mother is a resident at Westminster Palms. She started in Independent Living and this summer she moved to Assisted Living. Most recently, she was evacuated by the Assisted Living staff because of hurricane Ian. The staff and administration of Westminster Palms has always been fantastic, kind, caring, effective and professional. It was an incredible relief for me to know that my mother was both safe and cared with kindness during Ian, when I was many hundreds of miles away. Thank you everyone at Westminster."

"I used to visit this facility as volunteer to assist residents in their spiritual needs. This facility was heart breaking since is dedicated mainly to residents with psychological conditions. The number of staff was very limited so I realized that the time invested on each patient was not enough to cover their total needs. The facility as a whole had many issues providing adequate meals to the residents. Nurses where kind but because they had more than 20 patients each, everything was done fast paced. I still think is a good facility because they also have a great responsibility on caring with all this residents and their psychological conditions. To be completely honest I realized that a person needs a lot of heart to work at this place, sometimes patients will get very aggressive towards the staff or other residents. That was a little bit scary, but I the end they are still people that need love and understanding. "
