"I'm at here and we definitely know that we made the correct decisions because of two reasons. Number one: We're not pressured to do anything that we don't want to do and you don't feel like you're in a caregiver place. Number two: There is excellent transportation available. It's a very good place. I would recommend it to anybody. There are all sorts of activities; they change by the month and there's a pool. Cleanliness is excellent. It's not what I would call a huge facility. It's probably of moderate size compared to the size of the other ones in the area. I think the whole facility is between twenty and thirty years old. "

"American House St. Petersburg is a beautiful facility. But they were more affluent and like a lot of them sort of had a private aide with them, so it wasn't the right mix for my brother. It's brand new, but it was pricey. They have activities and amenities. They had manicures and pedicures, but my brother likes animals and what's going on with the weather, news, and sitcoms, so it wasn't the right mix."

"I chose The Oaks of Clearwater because it had a beautiful view and it's very affordable. The staff were very smart and very helpful. They have all kinds of activities here. I would absolutely recommend this to others. "

"We went to tour the Grand Villa of Clearwater. It was just acceptable. It was nice. There was very little that we didn't like. They were refurbishing the apartment that we would have there, and they were willing to let us pick out the carpet, the flooring, and the color of the walls, so it would be just like brand new when we move in. I was pretty impressed with that kind of attitude. I like it better than some of the ones that we looked at. The little kitchenettes, I didn't like them well. They were not set up as nicely as some of them. The staff was wonderful. They were just very welcoming. We saw the dining room, but we did not eat any meals."

"My visit at Addington Place was wonderful. The nice gentleman that handled the tour was very attentive and concerned about my well-being. He'd ask if he was walking too fast, would I want to sit down or could he get me a glass of water or a cup of tea? The staff was very accommodating, pleasant, and friendly. I saw a studio with 1-bedroom, it was decent-sized. One was on the ground floor and had its own little patio. There's a swimming pool and they have a lovely walking area right near the water. There's Eckerd College right next door and they accept senior programs. There's either a minivan that takes you to the doctor a couple of times. If it's a routine visit, then they put you on a schedule."

"I would recommend Stratford Court because it was beautiful. I had wonderful food. It had a walk-in pool, and the people there were very nice. They had activities every day. They had doctors, a dentist, and they had workout rooms. "

"I liked Coral Oaks. It's very nice. The rooms were very spacious, very pretty, very bright, and very clean. They have everything. They have a gym. They have a pool. They have a screening room. It looked spotless. It is close to a little shopping center, it's close to Publix, there's a crafts store and a shoe store very close by."

"Grand Court Tampa was wonderful. That is one of the places that we have considered. The rooms were very nicely done, very well-equipped. They were like miniature apartments, which I thought wase wonderful and enjoyed. They greeted us as if we were renting there; they had no idea that we were not. And, the residents were all greeted with respect and joviality. They were wonderful. It was very impressive just to meet so many people who were living there and appeared to be happy living there. We went into the dining room, and it was clean. I didn't see food on the floor, and the tablecloths were not stained. Most of the rooms overlooked the water and beautiful things like that. Brookdale, the managing corporation, has done an amazing job of organization, of cleanliness, and of hiring people and giving an attitude to them that is helpful. At some of the other assisted living places that I went to, the workers, although they were pleasant, had an almost forced pleasantness. Brookdale has done an amazing job, a tremendous job. "

"My mom will move into Tampa Gardens Senior Living. It's a beautiful place. It's pretty inside and nice outside. The rooms were big enough; for what she was paying, they were a nice size. Also, the food was included. It's a decent offer for that size room and all the amenities. They could work out, and the gardens were so pretty. The place was kept up very nicely, and the people were nice. There's an emergency button in her room, and it seemed good. The staff was excellent."

"I chose The Meridian at Brandon for my husband for a few reasons. The first one is it's close to where I will be living. It's very bright and sunny. They have a lot of activities. My grandchildren actually went there and they fell in love with the place. It's just a very positive place. The staff is friendly. They seem to care. They even made a point of speaking with my grandchildren, and they're teenagers, and a lot of people don't talk to teenagers. So, they're very wonderful people there. They have so many things offered for the residents there. They have activities. They have monthly dinners where I can actually go with my husband. It's scheduled, like they have themed dinners. They have a movie theater, laundry, a beauty parlor, and a bistro."

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."

"My brother is a resident. They are good, but they are not great. He has been complaining about the food for a while. Although the food has improved, he's still not impressed with the food. It's okay, but it's not great either. The staff, they're friendly and they're eager to please, but I feel they're not as trained as they should be. The facility is clean. They seem to care about the people there. There are activities, but my brother doesn't participate. I was looking around at other prices, and it seems they're a little higher than other places, but they're still within the ballpark of what other people would charge."

"Gull Harbor is nice. I have friends here and we've been here almost 10 years. They have activities and places to go to. We have a 3-bedroom apartment. I enjoy it here. We have two pools and a clubhouse."
