"You can’t beat physical therapy when it comes to Healthsouth Rehabilitation; they are number one. They work you very hard. I think you do 3 hours a day in total in therapy. The food and the staff are good. The patients seemed more upbeat; they were willing to talk to strangers. "

"I took a tour of Sunnyside Village's independent living. I also have a friend who lives there, and I visit her maybe once a month. They have extensive grounds. They also have a lot of independent duplex houses and apartments, so they have a lot of independent living. Their assisted living is fairly small. They also have memory care, nursing care, and rehab. They have an outdoor pool and a library. I remember the apartments were especially beautiful. I also know they have a van or a bus that takes people to things. If I were going to stay in Sarasota, I think I would go to Sunnyside because it has a warmer feel to it, and it is also a little more affordable. The residents have a meal plan where they eat in the main dining room. During COVID, they boxed food and brought it to their doors for them. At one point, I did have dinner with my friend there, and the food was very good. My friend is very happy living there. I also think you get more value for your money there."

"My friend was at Magnolia for 2 weeks for second time in 3 years. She didn't want to be back there but it was the only facility with a private room at the time. I want to thanks all staff because you are doing a great job. This place is not what used to be. Clean, food is acceptable, great customer service and most of staff is caring. "I thought NSPIRE Healthcare Sarasota was very nice. I was hoping we would get my brother in there. We went to long-term care. It was very clean. The people there seemed very happy. I like the fact that there were just two beds to a bathroom, and the people there seemed very, very nice. It didn't seem like there were an awful lot of activities. They have two little rabbits for them to pet, and they said they bring in music at times, but it didn't seem like there were a lot of activities. I didn't see a list of them. It looked like they had a nice menu as far as the people were concerned. They had the day's menu set out on one of the boards, and it looked good."

"I was searching for a Skilled Nursing Facility when my mother was recently in the hospital for a hip replacement. Mom would need a few weeks of therapy to help get her back on her feet so she could return to her condo. The team at Sarasota Point Rehabilitation center was outstanding. They explained everything to us during each step of her treatment and gave my mother excellent care. I was even impressed that she actually gained a few pounds from the food...which she loved! If you are looking for a clean, beautiful facility that really cares about their patients you must give Sarasota Point Rehab a try."

"I was in Sarasota Health & Rehabilitation Center. It was wonderful. It was nice, top-notch, for what they have to go through. This was in the middle of coronavirus. So, for what they had to work with, it was excellent. The staff was caring, if you ever needed anything, medication was right there, you didn't have to worry about running out of those things. The food was good, the quality of the room was good. We were locked down there. I smoke so there were certain times of the day that we could go out and have a cigarette or two, but other than that, we were in our room. You hit your call button and they came. So the interaction was great."

"I have my mother at Heartland North. The room seems adequate. It is small, but nice. People seem very helpful. They have quite few activities. They have bingo, card games, and music on the weekend. We chose it because my mom has been there before after an operation, so I am familiar with the place, and it is directly around the corner from where I live. It is very convenient for me. "

"Right now my mother is in Tarpon Point Nursing Home. She is only going to be there for two months because Medicaid has started. She is getting more care than she actually needs. She is enjoying it. Her room is a double room, she has a roommate, and she shares a bathroom there. She has been playing bingo and cards. She is just having a good time there. The staff is really good. They are polite. They have been excellent. The nurses are taking care of what she needs. "

"I absolutely love that our good family friend is living at Plymouth Harbor because it is a wonderful and delightful assisted living facility that feels very independent, and less like an assisted living home. What our family friend loves most about Plymouth Harbor (she has been living in an apartment in the facility for over a decade) is how gorgeous the view from her apartment is! The entire condominium is located right on the bay, and you can't believe just how gorgeous the view really is. She has two walls of glass windows overlooking the crystal blue water that is so clear you can even see fish and coral! We love to have meals in her place instead of in the dining room (although the dining room is quite nice and the food is fine) because her view is simply the best.Another nice thing about this place is that there are guest apartments. This means that every time her family wants to visit her from out of town, they just rent out an apartment themselves and everyone is happy. Plymouth Harbor has the best location, which is on Lido Key, which has a gorgeous public beach right down the block that seems more like a private beach because it is so gorgeous (but it has lifeguards). St. Armands Circle is a big shopping/dining attraction area and is right down the street from Plymouth Harbour, which makes it easy for her to ask for a ride from the facilities and meet us out for dinner, even with her limited accessibility! It also has its own salon inside the building, activities, classes, and nurses who are always available. She loves it here. "

"My mother-in-law is placed at Bay Breeze Health and Rehabilitation Center in Venice. We put her there at the beginning of October. She'll be there permanently receiving long-term care. So far, they have been on Covid lockdown so we have only visited her twice, but we are very happy with her care. They call me with any reports on her so I'm very happy. I have to say that it is an older facility but our only desire for her is great care. They also have great outside areas and the care is excellent. The staff was great and I am very, very thankful to the ones that worked with us for all the paperwork that needed to be done. The caregivers are excellent too. The rooms are not overly spacious, but they're adequate and they're clean. For me, and for what our needs are for her in the long term, we are very pleased. I have not tried the food, but she has not complained about it. The place is clean, it has courtyards for the residents, and I know they have a library and a dining room. They have activities like movie nights on Sunday and Friday nights. She could also get her hair and nails done there. They have a salon that is open, I guess, at certain times, to provide the residents with whatever service is necessary. My mother-in-law is a fall-risk and they have a room in which they have a 24-hour nurse with the fall-risk patients. She's been there a little over a month now. The value, for us, is great because we don't pay anything. She got Medicaid qualified, so we paid nothing out of pocket. They handled all of that for her. "

"My father is a resident of the Pines of Sarasota and everything is wonderful! I chose this facility because it's very economical, it's a non-profit, and it's been there for 63 years. It's highly recommended by all of the health workers in town and everybody else I ask. It's all nice and clean there. They keep adding new parks and it's wonderful. If you have to have a room mate, the rooms have a wall in between. It's very good as opposed to some nursing unit with just curtains. The staff are amazing. They respect his privacy but they take care of him and his needs so it's all pretty good. My dad is very happy there. He hasn't even used his wheelchair since he moved in. They have a lot of activities there but he's not a very social person. He reads book and started reading more. This place is definitely recommended. "
