"My husband had been in a private health care facility prior to coming to Sunset Point Rehab. He came in, in bad shape with infections and more. Within the first week of being here, my husband's infections were gone and he was able to do his physical and occupational therapy. He was able to move forward. Whenever I had any questions, (and I had a lot), one of the staff, nurses, techs, social services, and even the administrators would give me answers or find out for me. I am very pleased with the staff and how this rehab. facility is operated. I knew it was different and better from my first phone call to Robin from admissions to the day our tech Debbie did a wonderful job of packing up my husband's items. No problems here, better than many private nursing homes as they must adhere to more government regulations. My husband is a 100% dav. Thank you! "

"I broke my left leg on February 12. I had emergency surgery, and then I was transferred to Kensington Gardens Rehab for my healing process for my broken leg. We have a new administrator for the last three or four weeks. Things are getting much more professional. They were not very professional when I first arrived here in February. There was a lot of temporary help that came and went. They seemed to have their own interest. That has changed now in the last three weeks. The food has improved. The whole management of business of this place has improved since this new administrator arrived. It gets better all the time. They were keeping the place pretty clean before, but now the attitude about keeping it clean has improved. There is bingo three times a week. There is an activities director, who is very responsive if people want to do things like coloring and crossword puzzles. There is a smoking patio, which I don't go to. I only look at from a distance because I'm not a smoker. There's definitely an improvement in the overall attitude and how the place feels in terms of friendliness. There's still a few staff who are crusty and rough around the edges. There also a few staff who left. It is an older building that's been under other management through the years. So it is what it is, but it's quite well laid out in my opinion. They have a wing where any new people go for two weeks for covid quarantine before they are placed in any other part of the building. They are very Covid conscious. All the staff have been vaccinated."

"My mother had been in rehab at Manor Care. It was the best experience ever. They were very good to her. It was clean, and it was friendly. She had a private room, and it was wonderful. It had a big picture window, so she could look out to the trees. She loved the food. She was not depressed this time like she was at the other one. She got out in her wheelchair and she participated in all the activities. They had arts and crafts, music entertainment, and movies, and they had some of the school kids come during Christmastime. One thing that stood out to me was the communication among the nurses, staff, the laundry people, the housekeepers, and the medical assistants; they were all equal, and they did their job. There were no conflicts. The staff was informative with what they were doing with mom, what the medicines were when she started to die, what they're going to give to her, and said they would never let her have any pain or suffering. When my mother finally did die, they were very respectful of my sister and myself. They let us be with mom for two hours before they called anyone; then they sent me a card. "

"Palm Garden was a better facility for my mother. This place was more intimate. The room was closer to the main area, the lobby and the dining room. There’s just more people working there, and they are more attentive to their residents of all the other ones. The care is excellent Monday to Friday, it drops off on the weekend, but Mondays to Fridays it’s very good. They are active at bingo games and they provide some music off and on. They do a good job of keeping it maintained. They just repainted it and they just redid the floors. They were selected up there as The 2014 Home of the Year in that area (they have a big banner outside). I’m there two days a week. I’ve visited probably at least fifteen facilities because it wasn’t working for my mother in some of those places; they just don’t have enough people working. It really comes down to who's attending to the patients or residents. Now the other facilities, they don’t have adequate staff. Based on my mother’s needs and her feeling lonely, and having somebody there to show them love and care, I would say overall, Palm gardens does a very good job at that respect. "

"My husband is in Westchester Gardens Rehabilitation & Care. The care is very good. They have an outstanding therapy department. That is one of the reasons why I choose that facility. My husband has been there before. The staff is very good. The rooms are adequate. The food is good. It is close to my home. "

"I will recommend Countryside Rehab center for your loved ones CNA staff is absolutely wonderful , caring. The nursing staff is well experience , caring. The place is very clean smells nice. They will wash ,dry delivered and hang your Love ones laundry. The food is very good. The Rehab department is well experienced and very caring. Great maintenance staff in house . A lot of wonderful activities for your loved ones . Everyone in this facility works very hard to take care of your loved ones 24/7 . If you're looking for a place for your loved ones to be well tooken care of Countryside Rehab is the place."

"My mom has been at Clearwater Center for 4 days now. So far, she's doing well. The staff that I have met so far has been excellent, very caring, very professional, and very willing to help in any way. I was very pleased. Her room is very small. It's more like a hospital room, and there are two people in the room. It's not big enough for her to have anything. I could not even bring her recliner chair. It's just a bed and a very small end table and a closet. It's a nursing home, so you would kind of get the hospital feel. The dining area is just a room with tables in it. It's very, very bland. I have not had a meal there, but my mother said that the food is good. They have a very small room with just a few chairs that you can go outside that's covered, but there are no grounds. They have an activities director and there are rehab specialists, so they get a lot of care that way. And then they do have other activities that they offer just to keep them busy. Considering that mom is getting advanced care, I would say their price is quite good."

"Glen Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center was a good facility. They have a lot of medical staff and nurses. The director was very helpful, very kind, and went above and beyond. They have a hair salon and a therapy room. They have their own doctor that comes in. There are alarms so that the residents don't try to leave the facility. They're more sophisticated than others because it's a skilled nursing facility. It's a safe place. They work with each person individually as opposed to being in a class depending on their needs. The dining room was good, and they had some pretty good food choices. They have generators in case of a hurricane. It was clean and well maintained."

"I toured St. Mark Village for my dad. The staff was very friendly. I was really interested in going to memory care. I really like the look of the facility, how clean it was, and how friendly the staff was. They were remodeling one of the bedrooms. They were updating and painting it, and I just thought it was really nice. I like the security and the open foyer. I like the little cafe and restaurant's style that they had. It just seemed like a really nice place. The only downfall (and this is just personal to me and it's just a picky little thing) was that they didn't have any staff that spoke Spanish. That's just a problem I have to deal with. Other than that, everything else this great. I thought it was a great facility."

"Highland Pines has a very good rehab facility for therapy. I was unresponsive for a year and a half. I couldn’t stand, sit up, talk, or walk, but I'm doing all that now. They were the best therapy I had. They got me back on my feet. The food was really good and flavorful. The place is comfortable. The rooms are very decent, with VCT floors so you don't have to worry about germs. They also mop the rooms regularly. They have bingo, dominoes, and karaoke."

"Advanced Rehab & Health Center was not a pretty facility, but they were very good. They were with my dad all the time. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and caring. The dining room was not very nice. The facility was in need of updating. "
