My friend is moving into Astoria On 9th. They were 900 and some square feet, all GE appliances, and they have a washer and dryer stacked, and it has a door that closes over it. It reminded me of some of the timeshares I have gone in -- kitchen cabinets, like you wouldn't believe, and all brand new. It is hurricane-built. It's built with concrete blocks or whatever they do. It also has hurricane-strength windows. My friend is going to be capable. Whoever rings her bell or whatever they do, it goes into her cell phone, and she answers herself. If she wants them to enter, then she presses one. If she doesn't, she can just hang up on them, and they won't get in the building. The people who live there cannot get into the building without their FOB. They have a lot of security. They have a beautiful club room and fitness room. The club room has a big TV and nice furniture. And I can't say enough about the facility when we looked at it. It's very clean, very nice. The manager was exceptionally nice, and Tina was too. Tina ended up filling out the lease and all the necessary paperwork. She even helped us because my friend is a little slow. Tina helped us with Social Security because my friend didn't know this, or that, or anything. Tina worked on that. There's a street up front where they can walk. They have a sidewalk and a nice parking lot. It's a brand-new community, five stories. Everything would be a five except for their call center. I'd hate to give them a one on anything, but the call center was no count at all. All the information they provided is incorrect. They had handrails in the showers and the bathroom. It's got elevators too. My friend had a hard time walking, and I've seen other people there in wheelchairs. So, I guess you might call it wheelchair accessible. The rooms are very adequate.

I like everything about Astoria On 9th. I just made too much money. Other than that, it was alright. I like it. The staff member who assisted me was nice. Everything was fine. If they had let me, I would be living there right now. As it stands right now, I'm going to be homeless just because I made too much money.

We moved into Astoria On 9th. It's nice, and everybody here is friendly, but the neighborhood is very undesirable. The apartment building is nice and brand new. It's low income. We're on the third floor, and we do like it. We have a refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and stove. Other than that, it's not furnished, and we furnish it. We have one with a walk-in shower, which we requested, which is wonderful. If you have anyone who's impaired in any way, a wheelchair type of thing, this place is gorgeous for that. The bathroom is enormous. You could take your wheelchair and go for a good run. They have provided for the elderly that way. The staff, all of them except for one, have been outstanding. The only amenities that this one has are what they call a clubhouse, where you can go down. They have a big TV. My understanding is that one day a week, they have a movie session. They have coffee available. They have a computer and a printer. It's very, very nice, and they have a workout room.
