We are at The Gallery at North Port. My husband got sick pretty much as soon as we moved in. He never really got to enjoy it here. At the moment, I'm living in our independent care villa. We had hoped to move up, but they don't have his type of care here. From one to ten, it's a ten. It's expensive, but great. What I like best is they do everything for us. They cook three meals a day and we go up to the cafeteria. They clean once a week. We're just totally taken care of here. The staff is extremely friendly, cooperative, willing to do whatever, and very responsive. If I have a need, they're here immediately. The food is excellent. It's a brand-new place. It's not even been filled up all the way yet and they have many levels of care, but they do not have skilled nursing. They have card games and easy going senior living games. They have the three meals a day and they have very open hours. They have the cocktail hour, and all the people are very friendly.

We like the little apartment villas at The Gallery at North Port. I love them because it felt like it was more of a home. You get storage and there's more space. I felt more like how we live now because we got a pretty large house and going down to a tiny little place doesn't work in my head. The other one I love about them is it's right next to that amazing shopping area, restaurants, and everything. The people there were very, very friendly and very nice. The lady who showed us around was lovely. It's nice and it's also peaceful.

We toured The Gallery at North Port. We liked the feel of it. It felt like a home more than a facility. The rooms were very spacious and I liked that they had a couple of outdoor spaces for the residents. They do have a beauty salon for hair and nails. I liked that they had people who came in and sang music. They also have a church service on Sundays, and a couple of days a week, they have Gospel music. It's something that my mom has been missing. The staff was very friendly. She came highly experienced with memory care patients. We saw their dining area and it looked like it had more of the appearance of a home.

The Gallery at North Port was excellent. They had some villas that were very, very nice and we were quite interested in those, possibly obtaining one of them in the future. There seemed to be a great interaction between the staff and the residents. They seemed to have fun and they communicated well. The food was very good. The dining area was very modern and up-to-date. It was restaurant style and it was very nice. They have a very nice pool and a lot of areas for enjoying the view. They take very good care of the place. It's relatively new also. I don't think that it's that old.

We chose the Gallery at North Port for my mother-in-law, and we liked everything about it. The staff member, Alexis, was wonderful. Everyone that worked there - the housekeepers, the aides - were wonderful. The room that we would be getting had a built-in dinette table. It did not have a stove, but it had everything else in the kitchen - a refrigerator and a microwave. We would bring our own furniture.

The Gallery at North Port is modern, a very nice facility. We didn't taste the food, but it looked like a pretty good food plan where you weren't locked in, but you have full kitchen facilities, so it was good for us. Some guy was playing music, which was old people's music. They had a small gym, which was fine. They had a pretty nice pool. The staff was very friendly.

I liked the idea that The Gallery at North Port was a rental and you didn't have to sign a lease. You just have to give them a 60-day notice if you decided to leave. It just wasn't nicely landscaped on the outside, but maybe they wanted that wild look. When we walked in, there was a young receptionist at the desk, and she was very unfriendly, which surprised me. When the marketing counselor came down, Alice, was great, very professional, and showed us everything that we wanted to see. She gave us plenty of time and answered all the questions that we had, and we were sent home with a folder of information. We're finding that it's very, very expensive monthly. The monthly rate goes up. It's sometimes as much as 10% a year and that sort of turned us off. The only thing that we saw that day was a group of seniors. I believe it was a combination of assisted living and independent living, and they were having a music lesson on a kazoo. The swimming pool was something I'd never seen before, where they have a long ramp for people that can't do the stairs. That was the best thing I saw. Also, it was very clean.

Mom will be moving to The Gallery at North Port. She was the one who chose it, and I think she likes it, because it was all nice, new, and it has a pool. The rooms seemed very nice. She selected a studio, the smallest one they have, and I'm sure it will be fine for her. It's a very pretty facility. The lady that gave the tour was very nice, very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, polite, and courteous.

The Gallery at North Port was very nice. They were very accommodating and they showed me all of the rooms that I would be interested in, and it's a very nice place. I think it was outside of my budget, but I'm not sure, depending on what we would need. But it was a very nice place, and I think the food looked like it was pretty nice too. The lady that gave me the tour was very knowledgeable and not pushy or anything. She just told me the facts and showed me the rooms and pointed out the differences in the rooms, and everything. And she gave me a brochure that had the prices and everything on it. So that was good. I think it was geared more towards the independent, because they had villas there that you can rent. That was the only place I've heard of that has villas for independent living. I didn't realize that such places existed. That wouldn't work for me, but for some people, that would be good. One thing I like about that is each person had their washer and dryer, and that to me, in an independent place, would be kind of important.

I toured The Gallery at North Port. It was a brand-new facility and beautifully done. It was very elegant. The apartments were brand new and gorgeous. I was very pleased with it. However, I went over there one day to sign an agreement with them, and that's the day I caught COVID from being there because the saleslady had just had it the week before, and then several people including some of the staff. I was not too pleased about that. I've been there probably at least three times, and the food was very good. Because I'm diabetic, I asked them if the chef would make allowances for that. And they said I get to choose from three or four different entrees every day and that one of them was a very healthy menu that would do well for a diabetic.

I liked how beautifully The Gallery at North Port was decorated and that it didn't feel like you're going into an assisted living building. They had lots of outdoor spaces. The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The memory care was also beautifully decorated and well taken care of as was the rest of the building. The person who toured me was knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

The Gallery at North Port is brand new, and it is absolutely gorgeous. It just opened up two months ago. They have every amenity, a movie theater, and a little cocktail lounge. It's like being at The Ritz. I also toured their memory care area. They have the most modern, up-to-date facility with all types of new technologies for memory care. When I went, it was brand new. They were just starting to have people move in. Everything is modern technology, and it had today's facilities. It's really upscale, and the price was the same basically as all the other places. They had a pool and a gym. They were just opening up, so we didn't get to tour everything that I would have liked to have toured. It's a good location. I do volunteering in Venice, so it's further away from some of my volunteering things and some of my friends. It's not too, too far.
