My husband is in Douglas Jacobson State Veterans Nursing Home. It's very nice. The people are very friendly and very caring. The room is very nice. The food is excellent and they have a variety. They try not to have repetition. They have like a five-week cycle. They offer physical therapy where needed. They have crafts and karaoke. They have one-on-one that they work with people. The staff is wonderful. I have yet to meet anybody who is not caring, kind, and considerate, especially to the client, and very helpful to any family members. It's an older building, but they keep it very, very clean.

My husband has moved into Douglas Jacobson State Veterans Nursing Home. He's in there because he's a veteran, and he's with all the other veterans. So, they have people to talk to, and it's very nice. They play bingo, do a lot of activities, and they have televisions all over. He's with men, and they're taking very good care of him. The staff are very kind, and thoughtful, and they communicate with you very nicely if you have any questions. It's very clean and there are just a lot of activities for them. The facility is beautiful. They wash his clothes and take very good care of him. His room is clean, and the food is good. They've got big televisions and a lot of men with hats on with the service that they were in. There is a great deal of paperwork involved to get him in there.
