I like that Parkside Assisted Living and Memory Care is new and that it's close to two hospitals. The staff members who assist my mother every day are very nice. They take time to talk to you, too. I don't know about the food. Some of it that I saw is not really what my mom likes. The cleanliness of the building is very good. It's like six or seven years old, and it's built well. My mom hasn't been there very long, so we haven't seen a lot of their activities. However, the past few times I've been there, she has been in some kind of group with other residents there, so the activities seemed good. The rooms are very nice. The way they have the whole thing laid out is pretty nice. Overall, it's close, it's affordable, and it's right across the street from two hospitals.

This facility does not have enough employees to take care of the residents. The average response time to answering the call light is 45 minutes. Sometimes it takes 90 minutes. They have two floors of residents, and you can never find anyone to help. They don't even have enough employees to take out the room's trash each day! They promised assistance and didn't have the employees to provide it. Beware!

I had an in-person tour of Parkside Assisted Living and Memory Care. It wasn't like a resort. It was like a very nice assisted living facility with many amenities. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff was very thorough, accommodating, and welcoming. They were a little expensive and kind of small for me.
