We are using Home Instead Senior Care for my mother. They help her get up in the morning, get dressed, and make her breakfast. They give her medication reminders, provide companion care, they do sponge baths, they help her brush her teeth, they give her showers, do some limited exercises with her, and make her lunch. The staff has been very good. The only thing that I requested from them was to get a more consistent schedule of caregiving, if I can limit the number of caregivers in a week, it helps with my mother’s confusion. We’re working on it, and if I could get two caregivers a week, that would be wonderful.

I don’t have to do the medicine, it was a nightmare for me. It makes things so much better for me.
They are consistent, professional, and always return my calls.

My mother is using Senior Helpers who come out once a week right now. If I needed more, they’d be more than happy to oblige. They’re reasonable and very accommodating. It’s a very nice group of people. They’ve been amazing and wonderful with us so I have nothing but high praise to say about them. My mother is kind of independent, so they just come in if she wants to go out for lunch or to take her to the store. She also likes to paint so they come in and help her paint, and sit outside, talk and socialize. They don’t have to do any home care because my mother takes care of herself and I take care of the house. They don’t have to do anything but they would if you ask them to. I chose them because my girflriend and neighbor’s son is the entrepreneur who started Senior Helpers.

This company was an extreme disappointment to me, after being very optimistic that they could help me with care for my 84 year old, uncooperative mother. One of the biggest problems I had was communication. After numerous unanswered calls each week, the only one I talked to was the receptionist. I would certainly not recommend this company, and I suggest that you should shop around on-line before you make a decision regarding the help you bring in to help your elderly parents. Though several of the employees were very nice, the competency and professionalism seems to need a lot of improvement. I am very dissatisfied with this company.
