He expressed a commitment to matching the needs and personality of the client to a caregiver and with some coordination, we have three wonderful caregivers who Dad looks forward to seeing everyday. The first helps keep him fit with excursions to the pool, driving range and putting green. She also keeps easy to heat or eat food in the fridge. We schedule appointments during her shift and she has come to know each of his doctors. Another caregiver takes him on errands or to the wellness center for a workout. She also adds value to his passion of painting landscapes by touching up details that he has trouble with due to low vision problems. His third caregiver comes only once a week. She has become very special to him as well. On Sunday she takes him to church and then to brunch. She is his granddaughter's age and she never knew her grandfather, so the relationship has meaning for both of them on several levels.
