My aunt was at Capri Health & Rehabilitation Center for a couple of months and did not like it there. I thought it was a wonderful facility. It was very clean. I thought the staff was wonderful. My aunt felt isolated there, and she hated the food. She just was not happy there. I found it to be a wonderful facility, but I wasn't a patient there. I thought it was excellent, and I was there quite a bit. My aunt did not participate in anything. She was very depressed. Her room was nice though. She did rehab there, but she couldn't do any of the exercise things, and she didn't go to any of the games or activities that they had there. She just pretty much stayed in her room.

My mother was in Manorcare Health Services for rehab. They were very good, I thought they took good care of my mom, and they really cared about her. She was there twice and they remembered her from the first time, even though it was a year later. They really worked with her to try to help her. The food was OK, the atmosphere was very professional, her room was made for two people, and the staff was helpful.

Mom is a resident for approximately 6 months. The caring of her overall person is amazing. She is very happy, physically & emotionally. I enjoyed a recent “outing” to lunch for residents who wanted to attend. Marissa & Elisa, our chaperones, were great. They get to know residents like family. Mom feels at home & staff makes her feel that way.

This was a return visit for me after my second knee replacement surgery. ManorCare provided me again with a large private room with recliner, small sofa, and two chairs and view overlooking a grassy yard. My main reason for choosing this facility was to have my physical therapy with Jenna Jordan an outstanding physical therapist. I had her for my last year knee surgery and my recovery progressed so well under her care that I was able to be discharged in 7days which was much shorter than the average stay. This year the results of my other kne surgery is the same thanks again to Jenna’s PT knowledge and care. I am being discharged again after a stay of only 7 days. The ManorCare staff go out of their way to see your needs are met! Thanks ManorCare for another successful rehab stay!

My mother is currently a resident at ManorCare of Venice. I cannot say enough about the facility and its staff. The halls and rooms are always clean and/or being cleaned. The rooms are spacious and the residents and/or their family can decorate them if they wish. There are always activities for the residents and when I peak into the activity rooms the staff is always interacting with the residents keeping them involved. They think of such creative ways to make it interesting and fun. The nurses are kind and helpful. They are always willing to answer questions I might have and really care about ther patients. I have seen them sit and talk to the residents making sure they have what they need. They are so kind and make you feel they love their job and the work they do. The aides, cnas, are always busy helping and taking care of my mom and the other residents. They too smile and are always kind.

I feel very fortunate to have my mother cared for by the dedicated staff at Manor Care in Venice. Everyday I visit I see the caring, loving and respectful care provided by the staff not only for my mom but for all the residents. I have peace of mind that my mom is in the best of care. During the hurricane Irma storm the facility lost power. The staff worked so hard to ensure the safety and comfort of all the patients despite their own exhaustion. The dedication of every staff member was easy to see as they navigated through the challenges that the storm presented. The facility is clean and modern. All residents are carefully watched over. I especially appreciate my respectful interactions with all the staff as they are always friendly and ready to discuss any concerns or answer any questions.

Unfortunately, I have had to deal with several nursing/rehabilitation facilities over the last 10 years in the Sarasota/Manatee County area. I found Manor Care to be the best of the best. The facility was clean & updated. Staff was personable, caring & attentive. When I had a question or a “issue” it was addressed within a timely manor and handled professionally. I would strongly recommend Manor Care in Venice! L.King, Venice

I cannot say enough about the experience my husband had at Manor Care of Venice. We just finished a 5 week stay for recovery from a hip surgery which got infected at the hospital and required both therapy and nursing care. Outstanding in both areas! Thank you!! 1

My husband was at Manor Care Health Services for two and a half months. It was not nearly as good as where he is now. It did not have the transparency. He got a bed sore when he was there. They denied it and said the physical therapy caused it, which was impossible. They did not take responsibility for it. The food was not that good. There were some nice people there, but overall, the care was not of good quality as where he is now. Communication was not good. I would not recommend it to anybody. They had activities like bingo, church services, arts and crafts, and special movies. The activities director and his associates tried really hard to keep the people active.

I’ve had two friends at ManorCare before, and they both were very happy. I know that they were very pleased with the help that they received from the nurses there. It didn’t smell, and that’s one of the first things I always notice when I go to a nursing home. I was very pleasantly surprised that it just smelled cleaner.

I didn't like what ManorCare did to my mom. My mother had a living will, but they provided her with something that they shouldn't have. They gave her a treatment they shouldn't have given her to extend her life and she did not want it. She had dementia and they had her signed the papers. They never called us to tell us about anything. I don't recommend them to anybody. The staff are very friendly, but I just didn't like the care that they gave to my mom. I wasn't pleased with them at all.
