"My father in law has Alzheimers and I am his caregiver. I recently started taking him to Catholic Charities 2 times a week 4 hours each day. He loves it and they do things with them always busy. That is a wonderful thing for these people. Everyone there is so nice and have been so good to Dad it's a great place. I would advise anyone to check out Catholic Charities in their area. "

Ruth's Promise offers activities and fellowship for older adults and respite for caregivers. Ruth's Promise is a one day a week program designed to give a much needed break for caregivers but is also structured to include many services for older adults that would be found at a day care or senior center. "We were pretty impressed with the location, the atmosphere, and the available rooms that Coventry had. Everything seemed to fall into place, and we went as far as having them come visit my mom at the facility she was at to evaluate her. Then the next day, I got a call from the husband of the owner who told us that they didn't think they could handle my mom and that she would burden the staff. There were people there that were on hospice care, and there were several people that were wheelchair bound, so the explanation did not make sense. The residents seemed to be very happy, and the staff were really there for the residents. It wasn't a very big facility. They provided assistance with daily living and on-site doctor visits and nurse practitioners. There were not a lot of activities outside of the facility. "

"I THANK GOD for this facility! It gives me a time out from caring full time and gives me a respite so some shopping and so I can go to the doctors myself at least 2 days a week. The staff is very understanding and caring as well. They come her to the house and pick her up and take her to the center and they also transport her back home. The drivers are very caring and gentile with the riders and safely secure her in her wheel chair for ransportation. I seriously do not know what I would do with out them!!! "

"Maria's Adult Day Care Center is a new facility. They offer daily or weekly program. They have daily classes such as chair exercises, arts and crafts, and they have mental stimulation with computers. They cater their lunches. They have an RN on staff, too. I was very impressed with the facility. "

Currently, with the covid pandemic, as a family we have watched with gratitude the extra steps MM has taken to keep our mother safe and healthy.
