"I have a friend who's living in Hawthorne Inn Assisted Living, and I was impressed with them. It's more assisted living, she is in a large room, and she has a couple pieces of her own furniture in there. Instead of a big cafeteria, they have little dining rooms, they have like five tables in there, and they have a little TV room right next to it. I liked that place, and it was not what I expected. I really liked the way they had the small dining area, so it wasn't like a big cafeteria I was expecting, and the activities director was very friendly, very outgoing, and enthusiastic. She was very good at her job. I was there one day and they were gonna have facials and ice cream, or facials and brownies. She always has something, a plan for them, and she makes sure that everybody knows that they were having it. It isn't like you're really gonna get to stay in your room. She exercises with them with pool noodles, plays music from the sixties or fifties, and they all seem to like that."

"Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch looked very good. The staff was very good in explaining everything. It is a little further away from where we live and there are a lot of businesses nearby, which we did not really like. The rooms looked very nice. "

"The staff is excellent and very personal and caring toward my mother and myself. Christine the manager goes out of her way to make sure that my mom feels like she's at home. My mom calls the staff member her daughters and that they protect her and look out for her. The facilities is clean and the cleaning staff also care about the residents Overall an excellent place I sleep well knowing my mom is well taken care of."

"What I liked the most about Elan Manatee Assisted Living & Memory Care was the staff. They were amazing to work with and the place was beautiful and very clean. The outdoor spaces were very well taken care of. They have a beauty/barbershop, a cute little place for coffee and bagels, a library, a game room, and a theater room. The apartments were very spacious, very clean, very bright, and airy, too."

"I went to tour here. It was nice, but not someplace that we would put my mom because it was sort of dingy. It wasn't dirty, it's just not bright and cheery, and the residents that were there were not people that she would connect with. It felt like there were a lot of men, and I just didn't get a good feeling of the place. But it wasn't that it wasn't clean or that they weren't pleasant, because they were. They just got bought out and they just put a new roof in and they're doing some painting and they're going to remodel the rooms and they're putting new flooring in. So they're going in the right direction. It just wasn't a big enough community. The person who gave the tour was very informative, she was very pleasant, she was just good and I liked her. They don't have enough activities from what I gathered from the staff. It sounded like they do a lot of things, but not really anything my mom would be interested in, so it wouldn't work for her. They just bring entertainment in and they do activities with them."

"The staff at Brentwood is very nice. The facility is very clean, and they have things on the wall that are stimulating and very pretty. Mom is currently living at this facility in their memory care unit. They have all kinds of activities for them to do. She has her own room with a bath, and it's very clean. "

"I like that Bayside Terrace had a full social calendar. Every day is jam-packed. The facility was very clean. The administrators were very kind and attentive. I got to look at a sample menu, and the menu sounded good and enticing."

"I went to Inspired Living at Hidden Lakes. It was nice, and it seemed comfortable. I think my father could be happy there. The rooms were a little bit bigger and everything was newer. It just seemed a little bit more to my liking. The staff showed us the bedroom where they did their activities, and the dining area, and I liked that because it required them to get out of bed and go to the dining room to eat. They had a decent activity room."

"My dad lived here until he passed away. He was originaly in a facility that did not understand Alheimers. He was happy living at Clare Bridge. I especially appreciated how there was an RN on duty 24 hours a day, that there was very low staff turnover and how all the staff knew my dad by name and talked and 'joked' with him, which he loved. The food was excellent and they always treated him iwth respect and dignity. Large public area. Lots of roo. And they would go out on the bus regularly. And there are less than 50 residents, so lots of personalized care. "

"We ended up choosing Inspired Living at Tampa for my mom because she has a friend that lives there whom she's known for most of her life. So, it was a good match that they can be there together. Also, she needs memory care (which they have). They're great people and they're nice to us. She's eaten better than ever. They also have activities going around the clock. They have painting, bingo, crafts, movies, and people come to play music for them."

"I toured The Goldton at St. Petersburg. I like the floor plan and the layout of the assisted living. The guy that gave us the tour was excellent. He answered all my questions. They had a lot of amenities for the clients and a very nice backyard area."
