"I was very impressed with The Meridian at Brandon. I thought that the place was great. I had a nice tour. I was very impressed with the facility, and I was very impressed with the way that facility was kept, and with the people who gave me the tour and told me all about it. It's bright, airy, and clean. They take good care of the building. I like the design of it, too. There are a lot of very big open, airy spaces. There's a lot of little nooks and crannies where people can sit. They have cool things like fireplaces and a place where you can walk your dog. They have good security, too. It's independent living, assisted living, and then they have a memory care unit. And I was very impressed with the way that they did that, because a lot of people go in knowing they're going to graduate from independent living to assisted living, and then actually wind up needing full 24-hour supervision. I only met three staff, and they were all delightful. The food looked fresh and well prepared. Their menu has a lot of variety and the people who live there have choices. If they don't want the main thing on the menu, they can get choices. They can also get service if they miss a meal like they come down and it's too late for breakfast like they overslept or whatever, or if they want a late lunch. The dining room accommodates people, which I thought was good."

"The staff was very nice and friendly. The food was good, and they have different things going on that day. The people were friendly, and I would consider the place in the future. "

"My 93 year old father went to Addington to rehab a broken ankle that required surgery. He was there for six weeks and the experience could not have been better. The medical care and therapy were first rate, but what was as important to my father and our family were the kindness, care, patience and professional expertise shown by the staff who were nothing short of wonderful."

"I went to tour here. It was nice, but not someplace that we would put my mom because it was sort of dingy. It wasn't dirty, it's just not bright and cheery, and the residents that were there were not people that she would connect with. It felt like there were a lot of men, and I just didn't get a good feeling of the place. But it wasn't that it wasn't clean or that they weren't pleasant, because they were. They just got bought out and they just put a new roof in and they're doing some painting and they're going to remodel the rooms and they're putting new flooring in. So they're going in the right direction. It just wasn't a big enough community. The person who gave the tour was very informative, she was very pleasant, she was just good and I liked her. They don't have enough activities from what I gathered from the staff. It sounded like they do a lot of things, but not really anything my mom would be interested in, so it wouldn't work for her. They just bring entertainment in and they do activities with them."

"I am going to go to Magnolia Gardens. The people and the building are nice. If you have additional needs, it will not cost additional prices. They do not have an entrance fee. We have been there to visit several times, and the staff has been very nice. It is also very close to where I live. I am on a waiting list for a studio apartment. I've see several rooms that are very nice. It has big windows, a bathroom, and nice closets. You bring your own furniture. They offer three meals and two snacks and have a menu with three different entrees for each meal. They have continental breakfast if you do not make breakfast in the morning. I will recommend it to others. "

"We toured Savannah Court of Brandon. Everything was nice. It's a little bit older but it was in very good condition. The rooms were nice. They had a hair salon for women. They had physical therapists that came in there too. We didn't eat there. It's a nice facility, and the people were very nice."

"We saw Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch. It was bright and clean. The staff was friendly. However, they did not have the continuing care that we were interested in. It's mostly just assisted living. The staff who toured us around was a salesperson. She was too assertive because I told her we weren't interested but she continued to contact us. We saw some other staff members and they were very nice and friendly. The facility was very attractive, very bright, and clean. They had all the amenities. However, because it's mainly assisted living, the room sizes were small. We saw a gym. The dining room was lovely. We saw the pool. It's very lovely, but it doesn't offer what we want. It's near everything except for the hospital."

"What I liked the most about Elan Manatee Assisted Living & Memory Care was the staff. They were amazing to work with and the place was beautiful and very clean. The outdoor spaces were very well taken care of. They have a beauty/barbershop, a cute little place for coffee and bagels, a library, a game room, and a theater room. The apartments were very spacious, very clean, very bright, and airy, too."

"Wentworth Central Avenue was very nice and very welcoming. I was very impressed with the staff. The sales guy was very professional, and I liked him a lot. Everybody I came into contact with seemed very nice. The rooms were very clean. The model room was nicely decorated. The studio is the one that we're going to go with for my mom. It was a nice size. I was very pleased with what I saw. They had a courtyard."

"The staff is excellent and very personal and caring toward my mother and myself. Christine the manager goes out of her way to make sure that my mom feels like she's at home. My mom calls the staff member her daughters and that they protect her and look out for her. The facilities is clean and the cleaning staff also care about the residents Overall an excellent place I sleep well knowing my mom is well taken care of."

"Currently John is in Central Tampa Assisted Living. The staff keeps me informed, but I am there very often. The rooms are very large. It is clean and has basic furnishing. The food looks fine and highly sufficient. He is in a separate dining room because he needs help in finishing his meal. It is a basic dining room. The whole building is secured. They have varied activities for those able to take active participation, but most of them he is not able to do. They have bingo, but they do not have outside trips that I am aware of. They take good care of their patients. They have a more than sufficient number of staff. The staff has been there for a long time. They don't have a great turn over. They know all of their patients by name. They are aware of where all of their patients are. Their patients have a great deal of freedom. They have outside areas that patients are allowed to go to at will, which is wonderful. "

"I toured Brookdale Palma Sola. The staff was friendly, the grounds were very clean, and they offer quite a bit of activity there. They have a big dining area, and then they have an area where they can get their own food like snacks and so forth. The rooms were a good size with their own bathrooms, so they're not shared bathrooms. They do exercises in groups, take them out on outings or shopping, take them to doctors' appointments, and they play bingo and cards. You can tell that they do activities because they have these chairs set up for them to do things, and they do it all in a big area. It's a very group-oriented place."
