"My husband moved into The Grove at Trelago. It's a beautiful place. The residents are well taken care of. They engage the residents. I don't worry about my husband wandering off anywhere because they're watched. The food is excellent. The care is excellent. I have absolutely nothing but praise for them. The staff members are very caring and good with the residents. They have gardens that they can walk through, but it's still confined. Outside their apartments, they have shadow boxes into which they can put memorabilia. It's very well done. The food is outstanding. They have pools, and it looks like a resort. They keep them busy with activities."

"I'm pleased. The place is clean. My mother's apartment is very nice. I would live there. The food is good. They're very welcoming and have lots of activities going on like singing and dancing. The staff is very nice and helpful."

"Our family found my Mother’s “Home Away from Home” at Emeritus at Oviedo. She has been a resident for the last month. We could not be happier with the staff and her new home. I have been told by numerous people how clean and well kept it was, and how they’re new management team has made some positive changes. I have experienced the same since she has been there. The entire staff is so caring; it is easy to feel the love they have for our family members. We just had Family Night where everyone was treated with delicious food and great entertainment! Emeritus at Oviedo is definitely 5 stars, hands down. "

"My sister is in Ambiance of Maitland. The facility itself is beautiful. It's brand new. It only has about three or four residents now. They are still working the kinks out. You can only have hot water when taking a shower or doing laundry on Mondays or Thursdays. The staff is very nice. They do not provide transportation to doctor's appointments, though on their website they said they provided transportation, but they said that was just meant for activities. I did have lunch with her a couple of weeks ago when I was there. It was a little bland for my liking, but I guess they have to please a lot of people, so that's understandable. Everything was fine."

"We like Bridgeport Senior Living-Port Cardiff Llc because it's an actual home environment and they've got a couple of caregivers for every three people. They're making sure mom gets up and gets out into the living room with everybody else or out of the kitchen when they're eating and stuff. They keep it very spotless there and it's just a pretty home. The outdoors is very beautiful. It's very pretty going there, on the front side and the back side. It's been too hot to sit out on the porch right now, but they've got pretty birds back there. The landscape is very pretty. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Amanda oversees the home and recently we had to have a mobile dental service come in and she tries to make sure she's there or is aware of what's going on. When I can't be there, I know that she tries to be there for those extra services. She had to have an in-house X-ray done and I happened to be there when they were doing that. They're very nice and very sweet people. We just moved mom from one side of the room to the other side and they went ahead and did that for us. They made sure that her bed was moved over and everything was moved over for her. They have bathrooms where they give them showers, a nice living room, and several reclining chairs so that the residents can sit in a nice chair while they're in the living room. It's like your normal house so it doesn't feel like you're in a hospital or something. I know they have a menu that they try to go by, but if they don't like the food, they try to accommodate what they like. I know they have served her oatmeal for breakfast, for instance, because they know she likes oatmeal. They have activities for them to get involved with, which is nice. They bring in people and Amanda has sent me pictures of my mom doing some of the activities. The price we pay is up there with the other bigger facilities, probably about the same, but she's getting more attention and they get to know each other in the home because it's on a smaller scale."

"My father is doing very well at Horizon Bay Altamonte Springs, and everything is great. His room is very nice, the food is great, and they have a lot of activities. The staff is very good."

"The Watermark at Vistawilla is very nice, very clean, and well taken care of. The grounds are very nice. My husband loves his room. It's bright and light, and he's got a great big window. He can see out into the courtyard and he can see the gazebo. He watches the lizards as they run around, and he's very happy. The staff members are very good. They've been there every day, and they are good about being there on time with his medications. They get his eyedrops and get his diapers changed, and he's doing well. They're not fully staffed on the weekend. They've had some music and they've done some movies. Today, they started a more regular program with activities. He is enjoying the food. He said it's the best he had in the last few months. The food is good and it's served in small pieces. It's a nice variety with every meal. There's nothing he hasn't eaten yet. Everybody over there has been so pleasant, from the sales down to the caring staff. He hasn't been involved in anything yet. He spent the weekend getting settled in, but I like the program that they have. Even though it's considerably more expensive than any place I looked at, I like the way they do things."

"I toured Brookdale Lake Mary. What I liked best were the people. They were the employees who were very long-term. The manager who took me on a tour was exceptional. He was very clear and caring, and he made me feel very comfortable about the facility and what they were offering. The building's a little bit older, but it was clean. The elevators worked well, and the rooms looked nice. The atmosphere was calm, too."

"My parents were here, and it was far superior, but my father's level of care exceeded what they could provide, so they were forced to move. It was brand new, very active, the food was good, and they had a lot of activities and good transportation that takes people places. They had a bus, but they also just had a car like if you just needed to go to the store, somebody could take you. There was entertainment for everybody. Somebody came in from four to five every night, plays the piano and sings, so they have a happy hour every night with beer, wine, soda, and then they could get away from there into the dining room. They also have a movie theater so they can go every night to the movies, popcorn, theater seating; it's very nice. They would still be there except that he exceeded the level of care that they could provide. I wouldn't say the rooms were overly spacious, but they were nice."

"It has a pleasant setting. They have two units that are for assisted living, and they have one cottage for memory care. My mother is in the assisted living in the Level 3 Care. She does have Alzheimer's, but she doesn't really need to go into memory care. She is doing well. It is a huge adjustment for her, but I can say she is happy as she can be. She is making friends a little bit. They have a lot of activities and things she won't go on. They go to the beach, or they go shopping, which is really nice. Every other week, they have someone come in to do hand massages and paint their nails. They pay a lot of attention to them. The food is average or a little bit better than average. This is the only one I have visited. The reason I went is because of the proximity to my home, and it was what she can afford. It is real close to my home, and what I like is having a nurse on duty all the time and things like that which are important to me. You can go sit out on the front porch. It's not on a heavily travelled street, and it is far back from the road, but you can sit watch the traffic go by. They have a lot of trees around it, and they have bird feeders, which is nice and calming."

"I looked at the cottages in Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, and they were very nice. I really liked them. The price was a little higher than what I know I could afford at this time, but I wanted to see what their definition of cottage was, and they actually reminded me of the townhouses some time in Illinois. I met a couple of staff members, and they were very friendly. The prices were way more than what I was thinking, but they were very spacious. "

"The Addison of Oviedo was very clean. We didn't get to go to the rooms because once we learned it was self-pay, it just wasn't going to work for us. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful and kind of told me what other places to look for and to make sure it's a facility that takes insurance and stuff like that, so she put me on the right road. We did look inside, and the entryway was very beautiful. It just wasn't going to fit our needs, but it's certainly a place I would like to go if I ever had to go."
