"I had been transferred to ACC Courtland after having a terrible experience at another local nursing home. Courtland was kind enough to set up transportation and provide me with the private room I had been looking for. They also helped me get some belonging from my home to make my stay at the facility more comfortable. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is in need to good therapy rehabilitation. All of the staff members were absolutely wonderful! "

"Great changes at this facility. New Administrator is awesome and a gem. with great leadership. very caring and always available. There is a new tone at the facility. My mom is really enjoying the new atmosphere. I often see the administrator on the floor, interacting with the residents and staff. You can tell he is enjoying his job and really care, nice change. We are blessed to have Jeanmarc at Orlando. Staff is smiling more, great things are happening at Avante at Orlando!"

"There are just two reasons that we left Life Care. One, it was a little too big for my mother -- too many people. And two, she wanted a private room. The clientele there were socio-economically not at her peer group, so she is more comfortable where she is now in terms of her colleague or her co-residents, and she has some vanity about her. I never ate in the dining room there; I didn't care for it. It was too institutional and just adequate. The thing is it depends on what is important to the patient. If it were me, I would take the top medical care even if I have to suffer a little bit on rooms, but my mother doesn't think that way. She'd rather be comfortable and treated like a queen even if the medical care isn't any good. It depends on what the patient values, in my view. Their therapy was a five-star, and the nursing staff is a four-star. They were friendly and quite attentive, but the therapy is very good. If you were rehabbing, I would highly recommend it. "

"My mother is OK there at Commons at Orlando Lutheran. They take care of her. It’s not the best, but at least it’s good. I’m satisfied with the care. When you get in, you will see that everything is clean and neat. You can see everybody on the floor in there. The staff -- they’re really nice, and they come to me right away. They'll let me know how my mom is doing. They almost know us. We usually go every single day. They try to put my mom with the same person; they don’t switch a lot. There are a few staff assigned to my mom. They know my mom, and they know already what to do with her. "

"Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital provides a little garden area with real food planted there. They also have outdoor rehab work, and they give you all manner of rehab there. They start in the mornings. The people that work in the rehab area are so professional, and they make rehab fun. They make sure you do as well as you can. The food was really good. My room there was clean and nice, but it was not anything spectacular."

"My family member is a residence here and getting the best care that is required.The staff is friendly plus addresses any concern. relating to my Dad.I haven't had any problems with the facility so far. Mrs.Elizabeth always answering my calls or return call.So communication is on point.Thank You all."

"Beautiful facility with friendly staff and excellent nursing care! We were very pleased with everything and would highly recommend this facility to friends and family. The building is well maintained and has a great layout. No smells as some of these places tend to have. There is even a beautiful courtyard in the center that the rehab gym overlooks with tall windows letting in natural light - a huge plus when working hard in the gym! The center is located in beautiful Winter Springs and has many local restaurants and shopping nearby for friends and family members who are visiting. Activities are also provided at the center which consists of live entertainment, games, and of course ice cream socials! The staff are warm and inviting and make you feel like part of the family. As you can tell I would recommend this place to anyone! "

"Westminster Towers has long-term and dementia/memory unit care. The staff seems very friendly, helpful, informative, and welcoming. My father is very comfortable there. They have a rehab unit that seems to help him a lot. The rooms are semi-private with private rooms available but at a higher cost. His room seems to be comfortable. It is homey and spacious, not a sterile atmosphere. The food is more cafeteria style, but they do have several choices. This facility is probably the nicest place I have seen. There are different levels of treatment there, and it is not far from a hospital. "

"I visited Delaney Park (Westminster Care of Delaney) for my father. I liked the staff-to-patient interaction and how they’re very friendly to each other. It was more of a family-oriented place. However, I don’t know if they were able to handle a dementia patient, and they didn’t seem to have as much space as what we would have liked. "

"My mom has been in Longwood for over a year and definitely, I wouldn't want to make any changes at this time. The facility was not a fancy place, it's older but it's well taken care of and well maintained. They have separate dining areas for those who need help eating and for those who go back and forth and eat on their own. They have rooms for recreational activities and staff members who lead different activities like painting and arts and crafts. They have a piano area set up for entertainment. They have onsite therapy rooms and doctors who make rounds every day. My mom shares a room with a private bathroom and has medical attention there. The staff was very helpful over the phone and when I went over there to look, I saw a lot of very happy residents interacting with their caregivers, looking comfortable, well cared for and enjoying themselves. The food is fine, some days are better than others but it's not bad at all. I like the staff, they're very good at calling and letting me know if they have questions about my mother's health. If something happened, they told me and what they did about it. My mom likes the way she's treated there, her spirit's better and her risk of falling is less. They could probably improve on giving feedback for changes in some scheduled meetings. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in my mother's circumstances. "

"My mother was at Conway Lakes Health & Rehabilitation Center for three weeks. She's been there a couple of times this year. She is in and out of there. The place is very friendly. They have a lot of staff, and they care. I don't have any complaints. My mother has a shared room. I think the private rooms there are limited. This is the rehab center, but they have another section that is long-term. The times that my mom is there are for therapy, speech therapy, and wound care, and if they need to do a blood test, they do that, too. Aside from therapy, they have a dining room area, and a little living room area where they could be together and watch TV, and they have activities during the month, especially during the holidays. For the meals, if you know you're going to be there with a family member, you could let them know 24 hours in advance so that you could buy them a meal for you to share at the time they're having lunch. They have a nice way of bringing in family members to the community. "

"I have my mom in Courtyards, and everybody there is really nice. I don't have any problems with them. If and when there's an issue, they call me up and let me know what's going on. My mom seems happy. The staff is really good, friendly, answer all of my questions, and if they're too busy, always call me back. They always have something different going on between movie night, bingo night, and card night. They're always doing something, which is good. The rooms are nice. My mom shares the room with somebody else, which is good for her because she has somebody to talk to. She's happy. The pricing is fine,and compared to other facilities, it's a lot more reasonable. I guess the food's OK because she's not complaining. She's Italian, so if the food wasn't good, I'd be hearing about it. "

"I have been a resident for about 3 weeks now following a 3 week stay in the hospital. I am amazed at the attitude and compassion of the staff. They seem well trained and capable. Most importantly, they treat residents with respect. I like most of the food, and there is plenty of it. It is clean and bug-free. "

"Consulate Health Care of West Altamonte provide three good, healthy meals a day. The offer therapy. She is happy there, and she does not want to move anywhere else. Everything is outstanding. "
