"My mother is at Orlando Health and Rehab. I decided upon this place because this is the only place that I found I could afford. I like that they have a lot of personnel to take care of the sick people. The building is old. There are a lot of people here and it is a big place. I would like to find a smaller place, but they care. They have activities. My mother is not a social person, so she never goes to any activities, but they have social activities. I haven't tried the food, but she likes it, and actually she has gained weight. Most of the staff are good. Most of them are attentive. They are always cleaning here. At least in the area where my mother is, there is always somebody cleaning. They keep this place clean."

"Love this place first I was on the rehab unit then I got transfer to west wing I really like it there the girls & nurses are team players staffing is getting so much better sometimes I will see does girls running around like chicken with they head cut off but was important is they still meet the resident needs every step of the way keep up the good work & thank you for everything !! "This facility was very nice especially for the price. They treated my Grandmother with the utmost respect. My Grandmother was at this facility because she had alzheimers and she fell and we could not care for her, the way we needed to anymore. The area surrounding the facility was not very nice but, it was not far from my father's home, which is who took care of her before we put her there. You could not access the facility without being buzzed in so that made me feel better about the facility. They would do everything for my Grandmother eventually. They wheeled her around. They had a very nice outside garden type area for the residents to relax in. They had a nice area to eat in, there was a fish tank in that room and they residents loved it. Each room had a tv for the residents to watch. They obviously washed their clothes for them but, we decided to do this for her. This way her things would not get lost. They even had a beauty parlor. Santa would come to visit the residents at Christmas time. Overall this facility was great. The nurses knew us by name and they greeted us everytime we came to visit. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Everyone at this facility was warm and I know my Grandmother was well taken care of. She has since passed. "

"I have been an inpatient at Health Center of Windermere ("HCW") for rehabilitation for my total knee replacement. I must give 5 stars to HCW in every category. This facility and its staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty in every regard and deserve recognition. I have been treated with the utmost respect, compassion, care, treatment, and professionalism that I could ever imagine. I would name every one to give each individual the recognition they deserve, but space will not permit, so I will name a specific few that I came to know and who are most definitely noteworthy to name here: Admissions: Daniel and Ross; Nursing: Natasha; Physical Therapy: Annie; and CPN: Ophelia. But like I stated previously, all staff at HCW are noteworthy. Generally speaking, the food was plentiful and very good. I was in a private room which was well worth it. I felt spoiled, and the difference paid is well worth the price. Regardless, I am sure that a semi-private room is just fine for most individuals, just from talking with other patients. I didn't even feel like I was in a nursing home; it was more like a 5 star hotel. When I would push the nurse button, there was almost an instant response. My room and the facility is very clean. I had all of the assistance I needed with bathing or using the restroom, had my bed changed daily, my room was cleaned daily, I received pain medication when I asked for it without having to wait, I received personalized meals, my water was changed regularly, my doggies even were permitted. My family, doggies and I would go outside and relax in the beautiful courtyard, and that alone is wonderful therapy. I was asked routinely if everything was okay or if I needed anything. I could not want for more. It is actually difficult to leave HCW. I will miss everyone, and never forget the care, compassion, and outstanding treatment I received while there. I recommend this facility to everyone, either short or long term. Thank you Health Center of Windermere for being there for me when I needed you and for taking such wonderful care of me in my time of need. "

"I visited this facility a couple months ago My Dad is a resident there. My brother and sister live locally but this was my first visit there . I have to say that after meeting the people that work there i felt a lot better. Its not easy to have to have your loved one live in a nursing home, but if this is what you have to do (for us there was no choice due to his not being able to walk and having Alzheimer) this is a very caring place. Many people impressed me during my visit, too many to name , the ones that come to mind are, Nurses, Shennel and Gigi also a CNA named Gigi in the dayroom (there were several nice people there whose names i did not get). Robin the receptionist . Also JR, and Naline, who are involved in Bingo, and other events. To me having a parent or family member surrounded by caring people is much more important than any other factor. (you can bring them food if the food does not suit them as far as i know ) "

"Winter Park was large, and I was visiting my girlfriend. It had a memory center. My girlfriend’s room was a beautiful view. The rent was higher with a view than it was without a view. The overall plan was nice. I wasn’t impressed with the activities; it didn’t seem well-organized. The staff was nice enough, but I didn’t feel like I belong. Everyone was very nice and friendly, but it’s not my cup of tea. "

" Words can not express how much I appreciate everything the caregivers and staff did for my mom. When we heard she had the coronavirus, we thought the worst. We did not want her to go to a nursing home because of everything we have heard, but the people at Conway Lakes put us at ease and took amazing care of her. I can not begin to explain how impressed my family was with the compassion and care shown to our mom. She received therapy while on the covid unit and when she was ready to come home, she was doing more than when she went in! If I could rate this place a 10 I would. If any of my friends had to send a family member to a nursing home, I would recommend Conway Lakes!"

"The thing that was best about Avante was their physical therapy and the therapist. When I think of their staff in general, most of their nurses, I thought, were excellent and attentive to his needs. The CNAs, most of them, were very attentive to his needs. When it comes to personnel, I was very pleased with that. The sanitation was OK. There was nothing special about it. It was clean, but the way it was appointed, it was kind of old and used-looking. They could improve on the décor. The place was pretty depressing. The outside wasn't very nice when you drove by it. The grounds were nice with new, fresh paint, but when you're inside, the rooms themselves looked like they haven't been touched for about 30 years. It wasn't dirty, it just didn't look good. "

"We have placed my relative here in Manor Care and we're happy with it so far. We had two other family members that were there in their hospice unit before and we were pleased with their services at that time. We like the price, it is affordable. The facility is nice and clean. My relative seems to get good service there. I would recommend this place to others. "

"We visited Winter Park Care & Rehabilitation Center because my sister came across it through the Internet. It was an old place and the rooms were old yet it was very clean and well-kept. The staff were very amenable. There was even a minister as member of the staff. The facility seemed to offer what the residents needed. We talked to some of the residents and they were happy with the place. I would suggest they try to modernize the place a little bit. "

"I went by to look at Westchester of Winter Park. I didn't talk to anyone about it. I thought that it was very nice and since they're rated as a four, they must be good. It was a nice, large room. I haven't seen any others to compare them, but I liked this one very much. I think it's nice that they have suites because I'm 88 years old and my son is a little disabled, sp it would be good to have the two rooms adjoining. "

"My friend had been in Healthsouth Rehabilitation. She was pleased with them. She said the rehab therapists were good. She got good immediate services when she needed them. The food was excellent. I met a number of staff. They were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive to their clients. The part of the place that I saw was very clean. It was decorated nicely. She was in a private room, and it was very nice."

"We had my mother at East Orlando Health and Rehab. It's a skilled nursing facility. The staff is wonderful and she gets the attention that she needs. They are very, very compassionate. The facility is very clean and they are in the process of renovating the place. They have nice grounds and when the residents want to go out, they have a nice place to sit. They have physical and occupational therapy. They have all kinds of activities. They have social services. They have podiatrists and doctors there. My mother complains about the food, but I know its institutional food. Overall, we have no complaints. "
