"This facility has all new management, and they are excellent! The Executive Director Rachelle is amazing with a heart of gold and her love for her residents’ shines! The Director of Nursing has great communication and is very compassionate! She took the time to speak to me several times with updates on my loved one! The therapy Director Jordan is very knowledgeable and gave me updates when I asked. When visiting everyone was very nice and full of smiles from the front desk to the CNA's working the floor. Everyone also seemed to know the names of all the patients! Very impressed and nothing bad to say! Also, the Dietary manager is new with obvious experience, my loved one had no complaints about the food!"

"Avante at Mount Dora is a very nice facility. The general air is one of cleanliness and the employees seemed quite capable. When my aunt broke her shoulder she went there to recover and having alztimers she was a very difficult patient, but they dealt with her exceptionally. She had had some difficulty at her last care facility, but she settled down considerably once she was moved to Avante. They had a beautiful piano in the foyer which she got to play and that made her quite happy. The service she received was excellent and the food was good too. The only thing that really bothered me about the experience was that the nurses referred to her by her first name. I felt that using her last name would have been a little more appropriate, but it was really no big deal. Overall I was very satisfied with the service they provided my aunt and so I give them four stars for their performance. "

"Lake Eustis Care Center came very highly recommended to us by the nurses at the hospital where my mother-in-law was. We went over there and looked at it and we were impressed. First of all, when you walk in, it does not smell. We saw several of the patients that were in the hall and every one of them that we asked was telling us how much they like it. Most of the staff there seems very good though I'm not particularly fond of their head nurse. "

"Bayview Center was fine. They had a floor for dementia and Alzheimer's care and another floor for patients who weren't so acute. They remodeled the place to be very colorful, very clean, open, and friendly. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the dining area was pleasant and airy."

"My mother (and father before his death) has resided at Waterman Village since 2001, living independently until my mother suffered a stroke in the year following my father's death. She then moved to Edgewater for rehab from the stroke. In the 18 months she has been there additional cerebral accidents have meant the need for more care. She is now in her own private room in the long term care unit. My brothers and I visit on random schedules and have always found her well cared-for in a cleaning and affirming atmosphere. The meals are all prepared by the main Waterman kitchen, which means soups from scratch, diverse offerings (my mother makes her own choices for every meal .... with a long list of alternatives always available). Most important, at almost 95 with her life-partner now on the other side and her home of many years now a memory, she is happy and greets days with a pleasant anticipation. We would also note that while a chaplain program provides for most spiritual needs, my mother's more liberal religious views are always respected. In fact, I have found that all residents, in all ways, are respected. Our family could not be more pleased with Edgewater. "

"My mother is in NeuLife Rehabilitation. It's for level-one trauma patients who have brain injuries. It's the perfect place for anybody who's in a wheelchair and has major trauma-type injuries. The staff is amazing: they're super, super nice, caring people, they do a great job, and they're medically trained, so they know how to do more than the average facility, probably. It's been a good experience for my mom. Because of COVID, we have to visit outside, but my mom likes her room. She said it's like an apartment; it's very nice. The facility is physically older, but the care they give is great. It's far away from me. I have to drive three hours to visit my mom, but it's a nice location if you are from that area, because it's in the rolling hills, it's secluded from the city, and it's very nice."

"We toured Lady Lake Specialty Care. The area we visited was clean, but it wasn't nearly as nice as the other two we visited. It's older. It's probably 30 years old, so it was not up-to-date. The staff who gave the tour was friendly. They showed you around them. They were nice. They were okay."

"This place was extremely clean. I transferred my husband from a horrible senior living. Cypress Care was a breath of fresh air. The staff was wonderful and very pleasant and helpful. They kept him very clean not like the last place. The office staff was amazing. The nurses and CNA's were wonderful. I can't say enough good things about Cypress Care. My husband was very sick but at least the last weeks he was alive were peaceful for him and me. God bless them all."

"The place was clean and was well provided for the clients that lived there. Most of the staff did their jobs exceptionally well but there seemed to be some staff members that did not care about the clients and did their jobs half way. Still, the clients seemed to be happy and generally well taken care of. Not too many of the clients complained but when some did it was because they wanted their medicine fast or their food. However the place seemed worthy to help assist older people in their daily lives. "

"My mother-in-law is in The Lakes of Clermont Health and Rehabilitation Center and the care is excellent. It's very well-staffed. They have knowledgeable staff, they're very attentive to her needs, and they're in and out a lot of times to make sure they're OK. She's a fall risk so they have to be on top of things. The place is beautiful, everything is clean, it's a well-maintained property. The location is great, and inside and out it's well landscaped, and there's an area where the residents can go out. My mother-in-law says the food is good. She's been to another rehab where she says she won't feed their food to her dog, but the food in this one she likes. It's a pretty new facility, so they kept it up very well. It's only about two years old, but they keep up the grounds and they keep up the outside, so everything appears to be more like brand-new. She's being taken care of by Medicare insurance and her supplement insurance."
