My husband is in Cypress Care Center. It's a nice place, the people and nurses are nice, and they keep him clean. The staff works hard even though they have a lot of patients there. My husband is on a puree diet, that's all they could feed him. I tasted the food, it was okay.

Wish I could give a negative number. The weekday care was fantastic but nights crew was horrible!! The place is dirty beyond anything I have ever seen. The bathrooms are disgusting, room floor I am sure never cleaned and smells like urine all the time!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!

This place is disgusting. The rooms are dirty, dried feces in shared bathrooms. The first night there my friend had a "visitor" come into their room and undress. The second and third nights there they fell. (no calls to family) Since there is no staff on weekends, residents who need to be monitored, are put in wheelchairs and parked at the front desk. Food is unrecognizable. Staff is rude and unprofessional. In this day, I can't believe conditions are still like this and these places exist. What recourse do I or family have? We are on wait lists but have no place to go.

this place is a dump -- the hospital discharge planner built it up to get my brother out of the hospital -- no care -- terrible food -- no rehab -- avoid at all costs -- the patient in the bed across the room had died -- and when I came in to visit -- I was the first one to report it -- the staff members who are good bear all the weight for the terrible ones who do nothing --

This place is awful! My mom broke her wrist within 12 hrs of being there. The place is dirty. The toilet leaked and there was fecies on the floor for over a week. The nurses would rather play in the hallway with wheel chairs than help the patience. My mom was soaked almost every time I got there. There is no communication with administration. I couldn't get her out quick enough.

My husband was in the Cypress Care Center. It was the PT and the OT, the physical therapy and the occupational therapy that I thought were the best. Their expertise, they were good at what they did. They knew exactly what to do to help him help himself. He was in three different rooms, and the first two were great. In the third room, I couldn't do any better than a 3. The meals were served in a delightful dining room, and the food was good.

My mother-in-law is at Cypress Care Center. Right now, she's in the memory wing. I'm happy with them. The nurses are nice and my mother-in-law likes it. It's not a large place, but it's clean, and it seems like there's lot of supervision. There's a lot of employees there for your family. The staff is pleasant, answers all my questions, is very thorough, and friendly. I didn't go in her room, we just met in a sunroom. My mother-in-law says there's a lot of variety in food, and it's really good. She was a cook, so I imagine if she thinks it's good, it's got to be pretty good, and she's a little picky. The grounds are nice and maintained outside, the lawn, and that area. It's definitely not a brand-new facility, but it's well kept as far as what is there. People had masks and hand sanitizer was available. While we were there, they were having an ice cream social for some of their residents. I was just in the sunroom with my mother-in-law. It wasn't really a tour. We put her in there and then I went to visit. She hasn't had any issues or concerns with anybody.

This facility is unbelievable. The staff lies. The day to they will call you back but never do. The staff tells you one thing and then changes and twists what they said. If you call their they put you on hold and do not come back to the line. They transfer you to the wrong area and you have to call bsck. They do not care about the patients. My family member hates it there. They have to many people in one room.

I have been a resident here at Cypress for several years. I like that I have the ability to use my electric wheelchair the same chair that i used when i lived at home. I am thankful for the smoking privileges we have, able to come in and out as we please. Happy to call this place my home.

This place is a disgrace. Food is always over cooked and cold when served. Staff are overworked but do the best they can and in a friendly manner. Rooms are crowded and noisy and not kept very clean.

No one ever returns your calls, cannot get any information ever.... Telephone rings off the hook until someone answers and just hangs up on you..Must be someone who is walking by and tired of hearing it ring. During this time that everyone is shut out except staff, needed information is not being addressed, even after you leave 2 and 3 messages for a return call.

My mother-in-law is in Cypress Care Center for a couple of weeks now. So far she likes it, the staff has been very helpful. It's very clean, and there's no smell of urine unlike other places I've visited. Everything has been fine, and she likes the food.

The care is really wonderful at Arbor Village Nursing Center, and they seem to be taking care of everything. I have eaten there a couple of times, and the food is not bad. There seems to be enough help. It is one of the older facilities, but they have really fixed it up nice and fine.

Couldn't find the " stars to rate ", but, would rate " five stars " if I could find them. I was a resident in the short-term section of the facility. I didn't find one employee who was not kind, considerate and caring. The staff members were always cheerful, encouraging, and provided more than adequate psychological support. There was no question in my mind that they took the job of my rehabilitation quite seriously. Reinforcement for periods of low self esteem were provided by the staff with hugs and even kisses, along with words of encouragement. I have been to three rehab facilities in this area within the past nine years, and rate this facility as superior to the others. The staff are all wonderful, which is a reflection of the Administrative Staff.

I have heard many negative statements about Arbor Village and read a few on here. I must say that my experience is quite different. I have found that when you approach the staff in a respectful manner even when you are angry they attempt to fix the issues. I have also found that when asking questions about family members who reside there that the staff cannot answer them due to state and federal information guidelines. My uncle had me added as someone able to receive answers and only then could I realize what the actual story was. The same thing was true with regards to my grandmother who added me herself. Many of the staff spend their own hard earned money to buy items for the residents. I've seen them spend their break chatting with family members and residents alike. What some people view as lazy, I view as over worked. I've seen and heard demanding family members and residents be down right nasty to staff and all they did was walk away and get a supervisor or alternate staff member to provide care. The CNAs and nurses along with rehab, social services and housekeeping deserve medals for giving the best possible care with what they have to work with.

My wife has been placed at Arbor Village a couple of days ago. The room is adequate. I would recommend this facility because it takes Medicaid patients for the people who can't afford the grandiose ones. It was close to home, and I want to visit my wife every day.

My father is in the memory unit at Arbor Village. Every time I go to visit him he is covered in bruises. One night I got a call that he was attacked by one of the residents there as well. Every time I ask what has happened to him I am told, "I don't know, you have to ask his nurse", and when I ask his nurse I am told, "People with Alzheimer's do this to themselves", or "I don't know what happened to him, I've only been here since noon". It is extremely upsetting to know that I cannot bring my father home and that he is being abused and battered when I am not there. Unfortunately, he doesn't qualify to be at different facility at the moment so I am forced to keep him there. The atmosphere in the memory unit is like One Flew Over The CooCoo's Nest. There are people with a wide range of brain issues and it can be a dangerous place at times when other residents go into a rage. Most of the time the residents are covered in bandages and at times, black eyes. If you have other options, I suggest you entrust your loved one's care to a different facility. My fathers illness has been long and very difficult and the last thing a family needs after taking good care of their loved one at home as long as they can is to feel like they have no power at all to protect their loved one against people that will abuse and take advantage of their vulnerability. Issues like his clothes disappearing and not being changed for 2 days at time and finding that his soiled pajamas are on underneath his clothes are now small issues compared to the bruises. I wish I could post the pictures. The unit is depressing and I look forward to the day when I can move my father to a more reputable place.

I have a grandfather that just got moved to this nursing home, I live in CT came to visit and I will be moving him out of there next week! Staff very rude and lazy!! I work in a nursing home and I would be ashamed of that care and the treatment of residents and their families. I can not stand that he even has to stay their another day. I would not leave my dog there!

My husband had been in Arbor Village for two years and two months. Most of the time it was good and was clean enough. However, when people regressed, they were sent to a different section and their care was not quite the same anymore, but of course, it was really difficult when you have a lot of elderly people that were incontinent. Their staff and their level of care were both pretty good though.

I have relatives in this facility and I can honestly say that is one of the worst places I have ever seen. Every time I go there most of the aids are not doing anything, gossiping, and when they come to the room they are not too friendly. The rooms are horrible and the food that I have seen is disgusting and not a balance diet. That place needs a director with a though hand and get rid of these lazy and rude employes and threat the residents like humans. They are not living for free.

My mother has been doing really well in Arbor Village Nursing and Rehabilitation. She's been there for almost two years now. We're really happy with the care she's getting there. The facility is an older building, but the care she's getting there has been great. It's not the building, it's the people in it that really matter. They're good people. They have taken very good care of my mom. She has a feeding tube in so she needs full-time care. I would recommend this facility to others without hesitation. The CNAs are doing a great job, however, I think they're very, very overworked. However, it would be great if they could lower the CNA to patient ratio.

My mother in law is a esident of this facility. She has a hearing loss And Alzheimers. The staff there are Very caring, timely in their care, They are very patiend And give out lots of hugs even when our mom is being difficult. Last week she celebrated her 93rd birthday. As I made stop in grocery to pick up balloons for her, I met a staff memeber who was there to pick up her birthday cake. On speaking with her I found out that I didn't need to purchase balloons as activity dept. had already decorated tables in dining room with 14 balloons. The room was also decorated with birthday hats And a birthday banner And was very Festive and colorful! Our family is Very Pleased with staff and cleanliness of facility, we have NEVER smelled any odors when visiting. We received this recmmendation from a friend whose relatinve is Also living here in the Alzheimers unit.
