"Freedom Pointe at The Villages was golf cart accessible to The Villages. With this one, you buy in and then there is a monthly fee as well. They have a washer and a dryer in the unit, which is nice. It is more like moving into your home there. They have independent, assisted and memory care. They have one- and two-bedroom apartments, which are very nice."

"My wife has moved into Highpoint at Stonecrest. Her daughter and my daughter toured different places, and they liked this one the best. They thought it had the best facilities. The staff is very good. It's a brand-new building. They were entertaining the residents in memory care with music and a TV screen. The atmosphere is very good. She's in a room by herself. I don't know if that's big enough. We moved a bed in and a dresser, and there's plenty for what she needs. Their dining area looked very nice and very clean and there's a lot of tables."

"We had a very positive experience and tour at Brookdale Pinecastle. The host was terrific; I couldn’t say anything negative about the people who showed us around. They did a very good job. The rooms seemed adequate. The price seemed competitive with appealing amenities included. We were very impressed with them. There seemed to be activities for the residents. However, it was a little bit too large for my father. "

"We toured Sky Active Marion Woods. The place was nice. I didn't like the layout of the rooms. It was the main thing that I didn't like. It was clean. The person who accommodated us was very pushy. That was the place that did not do breakfast, they just do lunch and dinner. To the lady who accommodated us, my suggestion is don't put too much pressure on people, because we told her that we couldn't do anything until we sold our house. But she wanted us to sign then and there and kept saying, "Well, I can give you this, I can give you this now, they have the specials going on," but we couldn't because we can't do anything until we sell our house. But we're trying to find a place that we want to go to after we sell the house."

"I like the location of Canterfield of Ocala because it is right near where I live now. The place is beautiful and beautifully landscaped. Everything about it is very nice, but the price is very high. They have two other levels. The staff members were great. We had lunch there, and the food was very good. They had activities and showed us a very small apartment, which was extremely cozy and beautiful."

"I am staying at Valencia Grove II. It is very nice, beautiful, and clean. I love it, but it's way too expensive. The manager used to be very nice, but now she's not accommodating. I asked her if she could try to get my rent lowered for me, and she said, "No, we don't do that." They have bingo. On holidays, they have a little get-together with food. They have a little fitness center and a lobby where they have bingo and parties."

"I toured Hawthorne Estates of Ocala and the place was nice. The staff member took me around the apartment, which is a studio, and I like it. They showed me the restaurant and it's very nice. The person that talked to me, her name is Brittany, and she was very nice to me. The building was well taken care of."

"We went to The Oaks at Waterman Village. It's a neighborhood type community with garden homes or villas; it's not an apartment style community. It's very nice, very well established, and very well kept up. We had a very positive experience. The food was well prepared, well served, the portions were very nice and large, and there's a lot of choices."

"We're going to move into the Lakeside at Waterman Village. The staff is wonderful, it comes highly recommended by people that we've known who'd move in there. They're creating a new section, and we're gonna be in a duplex rather than in an apartment style of living, which gives us a lot more feeling of independence in our lives. It's a two-bedroom, two-bath, it has a den, open space living, dining, kitchen, it has a garage with it, and a place for a golf cart as well in the garage. They have a meal program in the main building that you can take advantage of. It has restaurants, it has a lot of activities, and amenities. It's pretty much like any graduated, continuing-care living facility because they have their own onsite health program, and they actually have an onsite CVS pharmacy. It's pretty comprehensive, you get cleaning once a week, your meal program that comes with your monthly fee, and you stay in your home as you start to need assisted living care and medical attention. They're just starting the infrastructure in the space right now, which means they're putting in the sewerage, the electric, the roads, and they'll probably in the spring start the housing, which would include the garden homes and two apartment buildings."

"It is a very good facility, and they are very good to work with. However, my father has severe dementia, and he is beyond their care. He needs a couple of people to help him and more nursing care than they can handle. My father has been there for two-and-a-half years now. Because I am three-and-a-half hours away, I asked the staff to please let me know every time something happens -- like if he falls or if he gets new medications -- and they always have, so they have been very helpful and accommodating. My father has a big studio apartment where you could put a bed, a recliner chair, a TV stand, a bathroom, and a closet. I have eaten there a few times, and the food is pretty good. In the memory care, they have two dining areas, a little café, and a full dining room where you have to sign up and get a little bit more dressed up for. They also have activities going on all day, from memory games to cards to sing-a-longs and to movies. They always keep him active. The memory care is very clean, the nurses are very attentive, and they are always on top of everything. They are very careful, especially with COVID, but it's understandable that they do what they have to do to keep their patients safe."

"Watercrest Buena Vista was probably the best one that we toured. It was the most well-kept. The amenities were outstanding. Everything was excellent about it. In my opinion, it's a very, very nice place. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and very friendly. They had like a garden area and an outside area where you could walk around."

"We looked at The Villages. I liked the facility, all of the amenities that accompanied it, and the location. It was independent living, so you would have a one-bedroom apartment. I would recommend it because I liked the location, and it had a lot of amenities and activities going on. "

"The staff at Trinity Springs was extremely helpful, and the place was extremely clean. It was brand new. The rooms were beautiful. The place was gorgeous, and the layout was perfect. I saw both independent living and assisted living levels. It's located close to where I live, and it's very close to everything. They have a salon and a gym. They have a courtyard with a gazebo where they have entertainment."
