My father was at Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. Once you pay an upfront fee to Brookdale, you can come back and forth as many times as you want and even when we transferred over to the other Brookdale, we didn't have to pay that startup fee again. So, to me, that was good. The front desk girls were great. The meals were OK. I was pleased with Daddy's room. He was in independent living. They never checked on him. They came in and cleaned once a week or something, and that was it. The place was very pretty. They had a beautiful outside walking area and water fountains. We got a studio because that's all we needed. They even have two bedrooms. They had more to offer as far as activities. I'm pretty pleased with it. I liked it. They're a little more expensive. I didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff because we were independent.

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle was a little expensive, but they were nice and they gave us a nice tour. We were invited to try the food there but we didn't. The rooms were a little bit small. The upkeep was very nice. It was very clean.

I went to look at Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. It was a short distance from me, and I liked it. It was on my top three lists. It was very spacious. It met all the criteria. They have on-site nursing. They offered assistance if my father needed a ride or to get to his appointments. He has his independence on top of having nursing care. They had plenty of activities. The dining room looks nice. The staff seemed pleasant and helpful. As far as the care goes, they offered to get things done, like the laundry and taking the trash out. They gave me a little dessert thing when I left, and it was good. They had a game room and a community room for your family.

I toured Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle for my mother-in-law. They charge separately for care. You pay for the room, and then you have to pay for the level of care that the person needs, so it wasn't all-inclusive like all the other places were. And they didn't accept Medicaid. We're going to private pay, but there may be a point where she has to go on Medicaid. The building was old. I liked the design of it. The only thing is that they had carpet that must have been 30 years old. It had stains all over it. That's the only thing that kind of turned me off about the place. The lady even said before she took me in there that the building was older than she is and the carpet was stained, and it was. The memory care unit was a very good design. It's the pods where there's a central area, and they have so many in a pod, and they have a kitchen and all that where they feed them. So they don't have 60 all in one area. They do like pods of 20 or something, and I do like the design of that.

We went to Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. What I like least about them is their location. It would be a 30-minute drive, but that would not keep me from deciding on this place. The staff who took me around was very informative and very helpful. I was pleased with what I saw. There seemed to be a lot of activities. I also like the fact that the staff said they had a lot of men here, which made me happy. One thing I think my husband needs is to have some fellowship with other men. The place was clean. I loved everything that I saw. Of the four places I saw, Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle is number one on my list. There were activities going on there. They were putting out a spread for St. Patrick's Day. The staff also told me about their Friday night happy hours and stuff like that. It's a big building. We wanted a ground floor room. If one wasn't available, you had to do something else, but when that ground floor room became available, you could move into that. They just seemed to be very, very accommodating as to what they would do for us. It was a welcoming atmosphere. There were a few residents that walked by, and there was a group of residents getting together in activity. I was like, it was a good feeling.

I would have gone into Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle under assisted living. They would only help me when I needed it. I was quite impressed with them. I walked in there and I felt at home. It was comfortable. It was not elaborate or gorgeous, but warm and friendly. There was a pool and a fountain outside. There was plenty of space there to be outside. I was looking at a one-bedroom and it was very nicely set up. It had an actual kitchen, not just a small refrigerator and microwave type of things. This had a full-sized refrigerator. The staff was very friendly and very nice. I had lunch there and it was very good. I looked at the menu and they served all day. They weren't regimented and that's good for me because I tend to prefer to eat when I'm hungry, not at a certain time. I was very impressed. The staff that I had any interaction with were wonderful. I only had soup and a sandwich and the sandwich was good. I didn't care that much for the soup. I would like to have moved in there if it hadn't been for my son.

I toured Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. I liked the cleanliness and the friendliness of the place. The staff was great. I didn't think they lack for anything. They had a salon, dining all the time, a small pool, and outdoors. They can walk around the pond.

I moved into Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. When I came to move in, the floors had not been cleaned. I had to call housekeeping. There was paint on the floor because the rooms had been painted. I'm not really happy about the floor condition, but the room is nice. The office seems to try to accommodate you in any way they can. I haven't had an opportunity to check out the pool or other things. The meals are included. The food is institutional. Everything is mushy. I think they're catering to the elderly who don't have teeth or something. They say they're going to do something, and they don't show up. When the movers were here, they were moving me in on top of dirt or mess, so it was just not good. And then the cleaning lady came, and she's washing down the cupboards in the kitchen, which they knew a month ago that I was renting this place. I didn't get a mover till the sixth, but that's not my fault. The facility is nice.

I liked that Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle has a nice two-bedroom apartment, a very nice and clean dining area, and a heated swimming pool. I need exercise and there's a nice exercise room and it also has a P.T. with physical therapists working there five days a week. It's an older building, but it's very well taken care of. They have good-sized rooms and it is sitting on a large piece of land that is very natural with trees on it and a big pond. It has very, very nice people working there. They take pets, too. The apartment itself has a very nice dining opening. They have a bar where you can have stools there and a very decent kitchen area, more than I've seen in many other places. I have eaten there a couple of times and the food was very good. Their activities are pretty much in-house. They don't bring in too much outside of what they have there, but they have events once in a while where someone would cook up something special. It isn't that great, but the people seem to be very happy there with what they have. As you walked in, it was immaculate. I did not see anything out of line there. The halls were all clean. The room was just moved out of, so they hadn't cleaned it yet, but it was fairly clean. I liked the people there. They are very happy doing their work. They're very friendly and they work on your behalf. They help you. They've been going over and above trying to deal with the insurance company, and the woman there has held an apartment longer than she should because I couldn't get enough information together and it's just taken a long time. I haven't made it yet, but if they still have the apartment or something similar and I get confirmation that my insurance will cover it, I will move in.

I liked that everything at Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle is included. We enjoyed it very much. Athena took us in and she was excellent. There was a lot to see, a lot to cover, and they're helpful. My aunt is going to be in a studio. They're a little on the small side, but I think that's ideal for her. The dining area was very nice. It was very open and she could have an option. They have a pool so she could do swimming exercises in there. They also have seating areas outside and a big pond area. So, my aunt will have a lot of ground to cover. She would have a lot of things to work with there.

We're very interested in Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. They have an extremely active social calendar. I like the fact that the apartments are very, very nicely laid out. I think she could bring some of her own furniture and be very pleased with how it looks, and that's big. It would be hurtful to her to move her into a place that looks like a nursing home, but we've got to also stay within her budget. And I think we can do that with Chambrel. They've got a beautiful dining room, a swimming pool, a pond outside, and there's a beautiful walking trail around the pond. And I saw just lots and lots of people in various spots, just looking relaxed, and enjoying each other's company. I liked that. Tammi was wonderful

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle was very well-kept, modern, and quite beautiful. Their staff is friendly. The dining area seemed nice. We weren't there during dinner hours, so we didn't see the food. They serve two meals a day, I think you have two choices and they some additional things you could order. They had quite a few activities. They had arts and crafts, drama, and a book club. What I liked best was the staff, and the least I liked is the price.

We liked Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff who gave us the tour was very helpful and very nice. They had a good presentation. They had a lot of activities. It's probably one of the ones that we will consider putting our dad into. They showed us everything. We toured the studio and the 1-bedroom apartments. There was a kitchenette and a living room. They showed us the community area. The library was very nice. They had a barbershop, a pool, and a nice restaurant. They also had mailboxes for them.

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle would be my top choice among the places I visited. We're looking for independent living right now, but I can move my mom into assisted living right there if she needs to, and that's the best feature of this place for me. The staff was cooperative, introduced us to several employees, and met the different departments. They all seemed to be talking to everybody. I liked the full coverage amenities and the total service as far as availability if we need to take my mother to her appointments. I also liked the fact that they bring in one of the primary care doctors once a week. There were probably three to four medical facilities within ranges of doctor office groups. The hospital was about three miles away, and probably about two to three miles from most of the restaurants in different directions.

I toured Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. They had large rooms. They made it to our list. The rooms were nice. The staff who accommodated us was very nice, too. I was still texting back and forth with her. She has been very friendly and helpful. The dining area looked fine. But several residents were at the front complaining about the food that day. The activities were good. They were nice. They have a pond with a walking path around the pond with benches. It was very nice. They had what they call the fitness room, and it looked really good. They just got through remodeling a bunch of the rooms, so it was very nice.

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle was very clean and very well maintained. The apartments were very nice, and the community was very active. It had a very homey atmosphere. The apartment that we saw was spacious for what my uncle required, and it had a small kitchenette. The restaurant there was exceptional. We had lunch and it was good. I was very impressed with this place. The staff calls their residents by name. While I was there, one of the residents had not been out all day, so they were checking on her, making sure she was OK.

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle was very nice. It almost felt like a resort. People were active and everything was shiny and clean. There were no odors. The staff was super friendly and it was just overall nice. The one-bedroom apartments were gorgeous. There's plenty of room, so you don't feel cramped. They have separate areas for different functions, like where they play bingo or set up other types of games, like board games. They also have a pool table and a hair salon. People were sitting and using those areas, so that was good to see. The lady who gave the tour was wonderful. She provided us with a lot of information, answered all our questions, and spent a lot of time with us. One drawback for me, though, was it's a two-story facility, so there's elevators, and I believe that can be confusing to people that are having memory issues.

We looked at Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. It was nice. I liked it. The staff was very friendly. The people there were very friendly. It had good amenities, and it was affordable. The dining was a little more like a cafeteria, it wasn't as nice, it looked more like a ballroom in a hotel room. They had activities, a weight room, and a pool. They had group classes, and they had a game room. They had lots of different kinds of activities from crafting artsy to physical exercise. What was appealing about it was that my parents wouldn't have to move again, they could just stay where they were, and they bring the services to you. When we went there, it was a Saturday, and we ended up meeting with the catering manager, who wasn't the person who was supposed to give us a tour. But she had agreed to give us a tour because we were coming on a Saturday, so she was lovely and informative. What my mom didn't love about that place is some of the apartments were a very far walk to the elevator. If you didn't get one that was near the elevator, it was a long hallway to get to the elevator, and so she thought that could be an issue for my dad. It was very affordable. I liked that my parents could age in place for the most part, that they wouldn't have to move anywhere if they needed a lot more services. For my parents, it was close to their friends because they lived not far from Ocala. It was the second one that my mom saw, and she was not having this whole assisted living stuff. She just felt like it was like living in an apartment, so she had a hard time wrapping her head around that. It's nothing against the facility, that was just my mom.

I toured Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle, and I would highly recommend it. It's very clean. I like the availability for the people using elevators. The rooms were nice. The staff was nice, and the food was good. I just like everything about it. That's the one that I would prefer. I think the rooms are very nice. It's a great location and easy to get to. They have bingo, music, food services, and all kinds of stuff. Transportation is included.

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle was phenomenal. The only reason we didn't pick that place was my mom with her income couldn't afford it. But if she could afford it, she would have gone there, because that one was nice. They had so many activities. It was phenomenal, big dining room, and the servers -- the food was awesome -- the wait staff was phenomenal. They had wait staff with the towels on their arms waiting on you, it was really cool. They had a pool there for the ones that were able to get in and out of the pool -- they exercise their legs and stuff. They had sliding glass doors out to little patios for the people to go out and sit. It was really nice. They had nice grounds to walk on.

I like Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. It probably would be my #1 choice because of the price. I think they're a little more within my price range. The food was very good. We couldn't eat in the dining room because of Covid when I was there, but they packed us a lunch to take home and it was very good. In general, I liked the friendliness of the person that took us around and the studio apartments were very nice. The residents were doing very well. They seemed happy and satisfied and involved in conversations and exercises.

We chose Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle for my mother, but she's not ready to go yet. It's a nice, bright facility. It looked like the meals were well planned. I was actually there twice -- once by myself, and once with my mother -- and the meals certainly smelled good. All in all it looked very efficient. They invited us to a meal, but we declined.

We visited Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. We were trying to do just senior living, but they are a little different because their senior living is with assisted living, so everything blankets under that. Even when you are not in the assisted and you are just in the independent, they share a lot of the same facilities, and they are under one roof with each other a lot. We went there the same day we went to the other community. The staff brought us into the apartment on the bottom floor and I thought we were just going to have another tour like the one with the other facility, but because they're assisted, they could not let us tour and she could not tell me that until we got there. She brought us into the sliding closed door of that one apartment on the bottom floor. It was very nice, it was a model, and it was super good looking. But after we looked at that, I wanted to check the whole facility and she said we could not because of Covid. She didn't even tell me that before we got there. The lady was very nice and super professional, but I felt like they were more like salespeople, so it felt like I was just talking to a used car salesperson. I then felt like they're just not completely honest. The apartment that we saw was extremely nice, but it was professionally decorated, and it was supposed to be a representation of what they have available. However, we were not able to see anything other than that one apartment. It is not such a bad place; it looked very nice. I know that there were defects with the model, and the lady was kind of funny about it. There was an awning, and the awning was not in very good shape, and she said there were some comments about it and it was just a little off the beaten tracks.

We moved our mother from Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle because the price was so high. They will say $7,000 the first year then $12,000 the second year. It's a fine community, but an expensive community. The people were nice there and mom had some good friends there. The fact that they had to administer her medication, they had her in assisted living, and it costs several hundred dollars just for that, which to me is a little ridiculous. They bring meals to her. The staff members are nice people, but it's like any place else. The surroundings seem to be fine to me. Every year the cost goes up and it goes up a couple hundred bucks sometimes. The facility seemed nice enough.

My friend is at Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. We do lots of emails and phone calls, and they're very responsive. They give out newsletters. Her room is very nice and nice sized. The staff is fantastic, most friendly, and absolutely amazing. They updated the room because they rushed to get it ready for her, so the room was fixed the following day. They provided furniture, which is super nice, and saved money for us. The location is good. It's a nice area. They don't provide furniture to everybody, but they did it for us, and I thought that was very nice. They go out of their way to be attentive. At that time, they were serving food in the rooms, but now they're doing it in their dining room. It's terribly reasonable. The value for the money is amazing.

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle is fine. Under the circumstances regarding the virus, they're handling things as they should be like not allowing anyone in. My mother enjoys the food and everything, so I'm very pleased with this choice as is she. The attitude of the staff is very positive and any issues that she might have are addressed very quickly. She loves her apartment. It's all freshly painted, any necessary repairs were taken care of to her satisfaction, and we also assisted with the decor, so she's very pleased with it. They have activities that will stimulate the memory, interactions, they play games, trivia, bingo and card games. There's a lot for them to be active and also interact with each other.

I moved to Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle independent living, and it's been good so far. The rooms are bigger than most of the places I have visited and it has a kitchen. I chose this place because it has a lot more to offer than other communities I've looked at and it's also nicer. I like that they have a bigger living room aside from the bedroom and the kitchen.

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle is very impressive, but it was not as bright and cheery. The dining room was on one side, living room on the other, a little kitchen right in the front, and then the rooms are built around it. The staff is very nice. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice and good. She came over when my dad was in rehab and interviewed him. I told her that he liked oatmeal cookies, so she brought him that as well as chocolate. The place is very accommodating. They were playing memory games when I was there, and the residents were participating very eagerly.

My sister moved into independent living at Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle. I think it's wonderful and fun. They're always doing something and there's always something going on that you can choose to participate in or not participate in. Overall, it's an amazing staff. My sister's room is fine. Some days my sister really likes the food and some days she doesn't like it so much, but that's life. The dining room is setup like a restaurant. They have a library, a salon, and buses that take them wherever they need to go. They're very accommodating. Everybody I have encountered has been gracious and nice. I think it's a little pricey, but it's probably in line with the other places.

Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle was very nice, and the residents were very friendly. I had a very good lunch. We talked to different people who were around while we were eating. The staff who took our orders and served us was very good and very friendly. We walked into a big living room that had comfortable chairs. The staff was very nice and very friendly.

Brookdale Pinecastle was very nice and clean. One of the things I liked about it was that you could stay in the same room should you need assisted living. We had lunch there, and the food was pretty good. They had a number of activities. The staff was very nice. They had a card room and a library.

They were very friendly and attentive at Brookdale Pinecastle. Their food was good. Jill, the guide, introduced me to Ed who was the director, which was nice because it was like a family situation. The place was very clean and organized, they had a calendar of events, and the pricing is reasonable.

Brookdale Pinecastle was very nice and clean. The people were very friendly. We had lunch there, and the food was good. A couple who sat with us had raving reviews about the place. They had a lot of benefits. It was a very nice place fairly close to our church. We have looked at many and this one was definitely very affordable and one that we could work with.

Brookdale was a fine, lovely facility. They were helpful and wonderful. It was an older facility, but it was very nice and very well kept. They were fresh, clean, and didn't have an odor at all. It seemed to be a very busy place that had lots of activities. They had menus, and the food looked very good with good variety. I would recommend Brookdale.

We already put my father in Brookdale Pinecastle. They offer 3 meals a day, and it is a restaurant style where they bring it to the table to you. They have an in-house doctor that comes at certain days of the week to see people that need to be seen, instead of having to travel to a doctor. They have a lot of different activities, but he doesn’t participate in a lot of them; some of them he does. It is close to where I live, so it is easy for me to get to him. They are good, but there are always little quirks about things. They also have free transportation. What I also like about this Brookdale is that he gets an apartment style to live, and right now he is living independently. But as he needs assistance, they come to him in his room. It is nice and clean, and the staff seems to be good. They close the front doors at 8 o’clock, but there are people on-staff 24 hours a day. I would probably recommend it. It seems to be a pretty good place.

We had a very positive experience and tour at Brookdale Pinecastle. The host was terrific; I couldn’t say anything negative about the people who showed us around. They did a very good job. The rooms seemed adequate. The price seemed competitive with appealing amenities included. We were very impressed with them. There seemed to be activities for the residents. However, it was a little bit too large for my father.

I’ve toured Brookdale Pinecastle. They have a lot of different activities, so it was very active. The arrangement of the little apartment that they showed us was OK. It was well lit, clean, and comfortable, but the closet was in a weird place. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Brookdale Pinecastle (formerly Chambrel at Pinecastle) has the largest facility and their prices are reasonable compared to the others. It's very nice, very pleasant, and clean. The staff is very good. My wife and I have eaten there a couple of times with my parents. The food is excellent, but the servers are slow. My dad is on oxygen and in a wheelchair and sometimes has to wait unreasonable amounts of time to be served. My mother participates in a lot of their activities, but my dad can't because of his physical condition. Our overall experience has been extremely good.

We were able to visit Brookdale Pinecastle, and the staff was very helpful. They were also very interactive and caring with the residents. The facility was very clean and very well appointed. The apartments were very nice and spacious. I wasn’t able to taste the food, but the dining room is very nice. It's very clean and very homey. It reminded me of a hotel restaurant. With regards to their activities, they seemed to have quite a bit going on. When we were there, in one room, they had a pastor who was conducting a religious service, and in the other room they had someone who is singing along with the residents. Overall, it was very favorable.

My mother is in Brookdale Pinecastle. It is very nice. My first impression though is that the carpet, paint, and some of the upkeep is a bit dingy. However, the staff is very nice and very helpful.

Brookdale Pinecastle was beautiful facility. It was like the Hilton Hotel. All of their staff was very friendly. They were there a little over a year and I think we knew everyone. It was nice. They had 5-star restaurants and they could come and go as they pleased, but it got to the point where they needed more care than that. We are not at all unhappy, they just needed more care and we needed to get them in the right place. They did a good job.

I liked the condition of the apartments at Chambrel. They’re very bright, very clean, and Chambrel is very good at making modifications for me based on my needs. The one I chose was a one-bedroom apartment, and it was a little bit bigger than what I expected. In addition, it offered a full kitchen which was very useful. I liked all of the social activities that they have. In the area of religious services, they offer a rosary and a mass every week. They also offer bus service to the churches on Sundays and that was attractive to me. They have a Bingo group and a crocheting group which my mother would be interested in. They invited me to lunch, and I had a wonderful fish dinner, it was very good. Mother will like it.

Chambrel at Pinecastle was a nice place. It was very clean and well-maintained. They have senior living, nursing home, and Alzheimer's care, which were good. However, the apartments were small. They had everything we were looking for except for the size of the apartments. Nevertheless, food was very good. The restaurant-style arrangement was very good. Also the staff and the facilities were very good.

I thought Chambrel at Pinecastle was wonderful. I loved the facility. The staff, I can't remember her name, but she was informative and helped tremendously. She understood that her facility might not be the right fit, but she talked to us, showed us the facility, followed up with me, and even when my grandmother was placed in a different facility, she still followed up just to check if my grandmother was adjusting there. I thought the room she showed was just for an individual, I don't think it was for a shared accommodation and it was spacious for an individual person. It had side kitchenette and I thought it even had a balcony. I made you feel like you were in your own apartment, rather than an assisted living facility.

Chambrel at Pinecastle was very nice. The rooms had several options from which to choose. They have a pool in the backyard available for residents. Everybody seemed extremely satisfied and friendly. We had lunch there. The food was excellent.

We love it here at Chambrel at Pinecastle. I had made a deposit at the other facility, down on I-441 in The Villages, and we got our money back the minute I came back up here. There was no question, none whatsoever. This is fabulous. We looked at seven different assisted living in the area. I definitely wanted to go to the other facility, but once I came up here and looked in Ocala, there was no turning back. I knew the minute that I walked in here. The highlight here is the square footage of the room. It has very nice windows, and we’re on the second floor. I’ve got 1100 square feet and it’s fabulous. For the same amount of money I was going to pay at the other facility, there I was going to get 564 square feet. I find no problem here. When we have a life alert, they’re here. The staff is very friendly. At least 85 to 95 percent of them are very friendly.

I was recently in town and dropped in for a surprise visit to a dear friend of mine at Chambrel. My friend is very happy with the care she receives from the nurses and aides. Everyone was smiling and the place was very clean! While she was showing me around the building she stopped to talk to a young and introduced him to me as her Doctor. She said he was a new in-house doctor and she was very pleased with his care. I was impressed that such a young doctor was bringing house visits back like it used to be in the old days. I was very happy with everything I saw while visiting my friend. I feel better knowing she is in good hands.

My husband and I live in Chambrel at Pinecastle. We are very happy here. The attendants, all of the aides, and the nurses are very helpful and compassionate The staff is excellent. The apartments are the largest in the area. They all have kitchens with full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and stove. No one really cooks, we may heat up some things, not really cook, but we could if we wanted to. The kitchen was a factor to why we chose this facility. The apartment, especially the bedroom, was large enough for our furniture and we could bring our favorite pieces that wouldn't have fit in the other facilities. And, they accept cats, so we were able to bring our kitties and that was really important. The food is so good. It is restaurant style, so you have an extensive choice and it's all very good. The other thing that is nice and a little different is that dining is from 7am to 6:30pm, so you're not restricted on when you eat. We have Bingo every day, computer classes, all kinds of card games, a non-denominational Sunday service, and a lot of community activities where the residents can get together. One of the best qualities about it is that it doesn't seem institutionalized. There's a lot of land, the trees are all mature, and there's a little lake in front with a walking path and park benches around that is used by a lot of people every day.

Chambrel at Pinecastle is a lovely place. It's really closer to independent living but they have more assisted living areas. I like its general environment. The people living there tend to be more coherent and active. The staff was friendly and efficient too. The rooms are very nice. They're well furnished, well kept, current, no disrepair and lovely. They have a big dining area and they do 3 meals a day. They have numerous activities like music and card games. There's a bus that takes you out to doctors or grocery stores. But it's just off our price range.

I love the cleanliness of Chambrel at Pinecastle. The staff are super nice and friendly. It's just upscale and yet it was the cheapest one that we found for my mom. It's really nice and they are remodeling everything. I can't think of one bad thing to say about them. Their room was brand new. It's perfect. They have a lot of activities, but my mother just won't participate in any of them. They have hay rides, they go out to dinner, and to the grocery store. They will take to a doctor or you can use your doctor. Wednesday night, they had a family Christmas party where they invited the families of the people there. The experience has been great.

I was actually very impressed with Chambrel at Pinecastle. The units looked more like condos as supposed to just a room. The staff who gave me the tour was very friendly, helpful, and very insightful. It was a pleasant experience.

This place is horrible. I was shown a studio apartment and my mom thinks the rooms were small. The place was depressing. It did not look clean to me. The woman who showed me around was very pushy and condescending. I also found that aside from the price, they also have a whole lot of hidden fees. Everything that you want to add on has a price. I would not recommend anybody to go there.

Chambrel at Pinecastle was a lovely facility. The staff when we visited the place was wonderful. Everything was perfect except for the residents. They were just walking around like a bunch of zombies. They were walking to the lunch room and usually when you come to lunch, you sit with your friends and talk, but they were not talking. They just ate there and that's it. It thought that was very strange. Nobody was doing anything. Their activity room is empty. I don't want to go there.

I choose Chambrel at Pinecastle for my mom because it is more of an apartment rather than a nursing home and I like how the apartment looks. They keep it clean and new looking and the environment is very nice. The food is good. The rooms are nice and spacious enough. The staff is helpful. They have lots of activities available. My mom likes it there and she's satisfied with the care that they are giving her. I guess they can improve on giving more personal care. I would recommend them to others.

We chose this facility first off because it is clean, it smells good, and it looks nice. They have a pond in the front that has walking trails and benches, so that if residents want to go outside, they can do so. Secondly, the residents there seem compatible with my mother in terms of their mobility and mentality. They also seem to be happy there. Chambrel at Pinecastle feels like a very vibrant, active and busy community. My mother would be able to find things to do and people that would be good friends to her. I don't know all of their activities but they go every week for like a scenic drive or go to malls, Wal-Mart or Target stores. They also bring them to all of their doctor's appointments and to the pharmacy. They have a pool in the back and they have swimming classes that my mom can take advantage of. My mom has probably been there for six weeks now and initially she started out to have one meal a day. However, she is enjoying the company of the folks in the dining room so much that she has signed on to have three meals a day. She also enjoys the food very much. Regarding accommodation, my mom currently has an efficiency apartment on the ground floor. It has a slider to a little patio, which is a nice thing. She also has a very large walk-in closet. I think the nicest thing about Chambrel is that there are different levels of care. So if my mother needs more assistance, she will be able to upgrade to another level of care. They have a doctor that comes in once a week, so she has that consistent medical care available to her. The only problem my mother had was about internet and cable service this facility promised her. I think there's a little bit of misconception about it. That's just a minor thing but my mother was a little bit irritated about that.

Chambrel at Pinecastle was one of my choices but my husband did not like it that much. It did not look like an institution at all. They had a nice room for us if we decided to move in. The entrance was nice with a water pond and they also had a swimming pool.

My mom used to be in an apartment at Chambrel at Pinecastle and it was very nice. Their physical therapy was top notch. There was a fellow there named Dee and he was the best. He watched out for the residents and if he saw anything that needed attention, he would invite the families' attention so they could make a doctor's appointment. But they should improve on their house doctor for their residents. They had not done any examinations on them. My mother almost died there in April because he was supposed to order antibiotics and he didn't do it. If you had a loved one who was sickly, I don't think that's the place for them.

Chambrel at Pinecastle was privately-owned so they did not accept Medicaid. The staff who showed me around was pleasant and we had a wonderful lunch. I liked it because it was airy and they seemed interested with each one of the residents. They had restaurant-style dining room and it was absolutely pristine and lovely. The rooms were bright and spacious. I would actually consider getting a two bedroom for my mom and me. It was not high-end but it was very well-done. It would be better if they add Medicaid.

I found Chambrel at Pinecastle through Caring.com for my father. I chose this facility because it wasn't too far and it's within my price range. They have the kind of care that she needed at that time. They have a TV room. The facility with their lobby and all is really nice. People there are very warm and caring.

Every time we (my family) walked in to the facility we were very kindly greeted and they would take all of our information for the security of there patients. The nursing assistants where very caring and gentle which meant a lot to our family. They do a very good job of creating a safe enjoyable environment for our elderly, because of the size of the facility they can walk trails around nice ponds and enjoy having lots of room inside the facility. They have all levels of ALF care and I had a good experience while my great-grandmother was staying in that facility. Furthermore Every facility is going to have its lazy workers which there was definitely a few at this facility but the pros outweigh the cons. I would recommend this facility to someone in the Ocala area that is looking to put a loved one in an ALF...

I thought the staff at this facility were very well educated and mannered. I did feel as if all of the residents were not treated equally and it breaks my heart. As with all ALF's there are those residents who do not receive visits from family or friends and they are the poor individuals who are mistreated and not properly cared for. I feel the facility itself could be kept cleaner. I knows it's Florida, but that does not excuse loose sand and dirt on the floor of the entrance.

While I was there seeing my friend I notice the facility was very clean, everyone was nice and helpful. There seemed to be things to do and a very kind place to visit. The parking lot had spaces unlike other places I have been. I would recommend this place to other people if i was asked. it is very nice to see a place like this as many places have such a bad rap in how they treat the people staying there. The main reason I would recommend this place is how much I saw the attention to the health of each individual person that was staying there, most times people are ignored but not here everyone seems to be a top priority to each and every nurse on duty. My friend that I see there has nothing but great things to say even down to the food that is served even though he has special needs.

We went into several places down there. Chambrel outranked them 10 to 1. The apartment layout, the accessibility to the dining room, everything fit into place for my friend. She's very happy! The staff were very friendly. We've been on a tour before and the last time that we were down there, the lady that took us around knew every client and called them by name. They were not strangers to the people that lived there. It shows that they personally know each resident and that they give them individualized care.
