"We had dinner at Gentry Park Orlando. They give you 2 or 3 options with each meal. So, you have some variety. The facility is new, clean, and very appealing. They have a movie room and an activities room. The apartments are kept in excellent condition. They have a bus that takes the residents to the doctor's appointments and several different stores. Then they have an outing where they go to dinner. So, they have lots of activities and it's maintained well."

"Inspired Living at Ocoee was very nice. When you walk in, it's almost like a hotel. The grounds were wonderful and the staff were very nice. They have a restaurant that's open all day, which is kind of cool. They have a pool, and the rooms were nice too. They've got happy hour, bingo, van trips, transportation to doctor's appointments, grills so you can cook out, and a gymnasium where they provide physical therapy right there."

"My mom has moved into Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. They have a lot of people there who seem friendly enough. We were comfortable with them, and the other seniors who were there were comfortable with them as well. They have a dining facility, which was good, and so she feels like a home away from home, in other words. The people were very forthcoming. I haven't tried the food, but my sisters did, and they liked it. So they enjoyed themselves. They said it's pretty nice. It's quiet. My mom has her own room. She has a key to her room, so she likes the privacy of it. She enjoys it. There is no pool there, but she is not looking to go swimming. At times, she missed being home with me. She'll call, and she would say, "You sent me away,' and I said, "No, mom. You just need professional help." So she says, "OK. OK." For activities, they have a book club, and people come there and do aerobics, dance, and so forth with them. They take them shopping, they get them out, and they go places. I'm not sure if they will go to the movies or not; possibly they do, but I know they go to restaurants and so forth, too. They're keeping them busy constantly because every time I call, she is doing something. The place is really clean. It is professionally done. Their staff seems to be very caring towards whatever they need or require. They have access to stuff that I would imagine is proper for them to have. Mom said they always come and bring her medicine for her. They make sure she takes her medicine because she doesn't like to take medicine at times. The nurse comes and brings her medication, so she likes that."

It's just that my brother can't afford it. The staff was very helpful. They gave me a lot of information. The place was very clean. It looked like it had been built within the last five years or so. It was modern, and all of the equipment was up to date. The floor plan was very nice, too. We looked at a 1-bedroom, and the floor plan was nice. They had beautiful hardwood floors down and carpet in the bedroom."

"My mom is currently living in Cascade Heights. It's clean, the apartment is homey, and we made it look like home. It's inviting, has a lot of sunlight, and is up to date. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly, they are always doing what they can to solve problems, and answering any questions that we have promptly. It's been really good. An Elvis impersonator comes and sings every week, and they have dancing on Sunday mornings. They have bingo. They have art classes, craft classes, and I think they do water aerobics in the summer. They have a movie night, they have an ice cream social. They'll do things like, Mardi Gras for the 4th of July, or any event that comes up. They'll have either an activity or a meal, with decorations. They do try to focus on any little event that they can decorate and do something fun. They have a lot of entertainment that comes from singers, and piano players, and I think they even had a comedian one time. The food is just small portions, bland, and sometimes the soup is more liquid than the ingredients. But maybe that's easier for the elderly, or maybe that's on purpose. I don't know. I don't love the food."
