"Horizon Bay has a lot of people moving out right now. They raised the room cost last December and are raising them again in April. I am not really happy with them. My mother is not there anymore. The rooms were nice and some of the staff is very good, but my biggest complaint is that they don’t reward the ones that do well. They make them all put their tips in a jar to share them with the people who don’t care. They just painted the buildings, so it seems to be clean all the time. The food is terrible. They charge for anybody to eat there, and the food isn’t worth $4. "

"I walked around Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs for a little bit and spoke with some of the staff there. They have the apartments surrounding the cafeteria, but the residents have to go outside to get there. We also saw the activity area. The staff members were very nice. They offer the same amenities. It was an unannounced visit, but they were nice enough to accommodate me."

"The Watermark at Vistawilla was very clean, very organized, and smelled good. We met the medical staff and our tour guide, they're all very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The facility is jaw-droppingly beautiful. It's very close to the 417, which is a major state road, and of course, that's close to hospitals and close to restaurants. It's also 5 minutes away from my father's home."

I don't worry about my husband wandering off anywhere because they're watched. The food is excellent. The care is excellent. I have absolutely nothing but praise for them. The staff members are very caring and good with the residents. They have gardens that they can walk through, but it's still confined. Outside their apartments, they have shadow boxes into which they can put memorabilia. It's very well done. The food is outstanding. They have pools, and it looks like a resort. They keep them busy with activities."

"We like Bridgeport Senior Living-Port Cardiff Llc because it's an actual home environment and they've got a couple of caregivers for every three people. They're making sure mom gets up and gets out into the living room with everybody else or out of the kitchen when they're eating and stuff. They keep it very spotless there and it's just a pretty home. The outdoors is very beautiful. It's very pretty going there, on the front side and the back side. It's been too hot to sit out on the porch right now, but they've got pretty birds back there. The landscape is very pretty. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Amanda oversees the home and recently we had to have a mobile dental service come in and she tries to make sure she's there or is aware of what's going on. When I can't be there, I know that she tries to be there for those extra services. She had to have an in-house X-ray done and I happened to be there when they were doing that. They're very nice and very sweet people. We just moved mom from one side of the room to the other side and they went ahead and did that for us. They made sure that her bed was moved over and everything was moved over for her. They have bathrooms where they give them showers, a nice living room, and several reclining chairs so that the residents can sit in a nice chair while they're in the living room. It's like your normal house so it doesn't feel like you're in a hospital or something. I know they have a menu that they try to go by, but if they don't like the food, they try to accommodate what they like. I know they have served her oatmeal for breakfast, for instance, because they know she likes oatmeal. They have activities for them to get involved with, which is nice. They bring in people and Amanda has sent me pictures of my mom doing some of the activities. The price we pay is up there with the other bigger facilities, probably about the same, but she's getting more attention and they get to know each other in the home because it's on a smaller scale."

"I toured Bahama Bay Club Luxury Senior Living. It's too expensive, and they can't accommodate my diet. However, it's a very attractive and nice place. It looks like you're in a resort. The facility was very clean, and the outdoors was kept nicely. The staff was very nice and friendly, and you felt welcomed."
