"I toured Excellence Senior Living - Orlando. It's brand new. The person who gave me the tour, I think one of the directors there, was very knowledgeable and very pleasant. The rooms were nice. When I went there, it was in the afternoon. I did not see a lot of people there because I think they must have been in their rooms, or at activities. They had some very nice amenities that would have kept everybody busy. So, that was a nice place. They showed me the menu and it looked good. They have a variety that was offered. The dining room was very pretty and very nice. Everything's new and clean. There was only one thing there the day that I was there, the air conditioning was out in part of the building, but they had workers there working on it. So, it's just one of those things that happens in Florida. They did have a patio. They also have a beauty salon, which is nice."

"We like Bridgeport Senior Living-Port Cardiff Llc because it's an actual home environment and they've got a couple of caregivers for every three people. They're making sure mom gets up and gets out into the living room with everybody else or out of the kitchen when they're eating and stuff. They keep it very spotless there and it's just a pretty home. The outdoors is very beautiful. It's very pretty going there, on the front side and the back side. It's been too hot to sit out on the porch right now, but they've got pretty birds back there. The landscape is very pretty. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Amanda oversees the home and recently we had to have a mobile dental service come in and she tries to make sure she's there or is aware of what's going on. When I can't be there, I know that she tries to be there for those extra services. She had to have an in-house X-ray done and I happened to be there when they were doing that. They're very nice and very sweet people. We just moved mom from one side of the room to the other side and they went ahead and did that for us. They made sure that her bed was moved over and everything was moved over for her. They have bathrooms where they give them showers, a nice living room, and several reclining chairs so that the residents can sit in a nice chair while they're in the living room. It's like your normal house so it doesn't feel like you're in a hospital or something. I know they have a menu that they try to go by, but if they don't like the food, they try to accommodate what they like. I know they have served her oatmeal for breakfast, for instance, because they know she likes oatmeal. They have activities for them to get involved with, which is nice. They bring in people and Amanda has sent me pictures of my mom doing some of the activities. The price we pay is up there with the other bigger facilities, probably about the same, but she's getting more attention and they get to know each other in the home because it's on a smaller scale."

"I visited Brookdale Dr. Phillips (Formerly Madison House). It was clean, the people were friendly, the rooms were nice, and the floors were recently renovated. They had one bedroom with a sitting area, and they had a studio. They had lots of activities. "

"My tour at Florida Golden Adult Care went very well. I liked that it was a neighborhood, in that my aunt wouldn't get lost in a giant building. The place was very clean. The staff who toured us was very welcoming and informative. I was given a tour of the house. She showed me the complete facility. The dining area was clean and welcoming. There's a nice big backyard with a screened-in porch to eat out, and there's a TV, too."

"We chose Emeritus for my mother because her general doctor is associated with it. The neighborhood is close to our house. I go there every day, it's really nice and she's very happy there. The price is way too much. It is $4,200 a month. I checked with four or five different ones around and they're all the same price. It's a very nice place with good food. They have different activities going on. "

"Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs is the best place you can get for your money. The staff was nice. The place and the location were great. I liked everything about it. I really liked the general manager. The dining area looked like a nice restaurant. They have a pool, and they do a lot of memory trivia games downstairs. They have a little putt-putt golf thing in the back. There's a lot to keep them busy. The rooms were good."

"I don't particularly love the location of Brookdale Lake Orienta. It's a commercial area. I also felt like it was not what my sister needed as far as the age there. It felt very institutional to me. She is younger, so it wasn't something that would work for her. It had nothing to do with the service and the food. The care might be wonderful there, but it just wasn't for her. The staff was fine. The facility was clean. The rooms were also quite clean and fine."

"My wife is at Brookdale Altamonte Springs and it is a very good one. The staff is very good, I don't have any problem with them, they are all very good people. I go up there every night to visit and the place is perfect, clean and in a beautiful location. They have activities like trivia, but my wife does not do too many of them. They also have a beautiful garden area. The food is very good, too. The manager does a super job; we have no cases of Covid and he has done a super job of protecting the residents."

"My mother is in HarborChase of Dr. Phillips Memory care. It looks beautiful, it's really nice, and I liked it a lot. They've been very good, the room was nice, it needed some cleaning when we got there, but they took care of that. They gave us some food to try, and brought it to our house, it was good. She just got in around 2 to 3 weeks ago."

"Gentry Park Orlando was very nice and secluded. You don't hear the traffic, and it's located off the beaten track. The staff is very warm and welcoming. They serve three meals a day. They have a physical fitness facility, laundry service, and 24-hour alert service. The staff answered all the questions we had and were very open about their fees. They had housekeeping services and welcome pets, which was a biggie since we have two dogs. The Wi-Fi and TV were included in the monthly rent. Overall, it seemed to be a really nice place to live. "
