My mother started on the assisted living side but then needed to be moved to the memory care side of the facility. This is supposed to a HOME to the residents. It is NOT. The issue here is the staff which is constantly changing and they flat out don't care about the residents. They don't allow knives at the table which is understandable. However, when a staff member (not a care giver) doesn't even offer to cut up a resident's food, that is an issue. When the kitchen is closed, it is closed. No staff will not even consider getting a hot beverage for a resident after hours. Clothing and other things have disappeared from my mother's room and neither the staff nor the Director can find the items. Medication was ordered and charged to the account without prior permission. It cannot be returned. My mother can rarely get assistance when she wants to call a family member on her cell phone. It's apparently too much trouble. The cost is very high and not worth it. If you are looking for quality CARE, this is not the place for your loved one.

My husband moved into The Grove at Trelago. It's a beautiful place. The residents are well taken care of. They engage the residents. I don't worry about my husband wandering off anywhere because they're watched. The food is excellent. The care is excellent. I have absolutely nothing but praise for them. The staff members are very caring and good with the residents. They have gardens that they can walk through, but it's still confined. Outside their apartments, they have shadow boxes into which they can put memorabilia. It's very well done. The food is outstanding. They have pools, and it looks like a resort. They keep them busy with activities.

The Grove at Trelago was nice and the food was good, but the apartments were too small. It's terrific, the ambience, the amenities, the swimming pool, the gardens, and the food. The only thing was that the apartments were too small for us. For other people, they may be OK. They have card rooms and a movie theater. The library was very small and inadequate.
