"It is very nice, very good, and I liked it. It's in the vicinity, which is very convenient to our existing doctor, hospital, and medication servers. They gave a tour, they served snacks, and it was very nice. We enjoyed it. They have coffee available in the lobby, and we saw the people walking around. There were very nice clients, and it's probably one of the best communities we saw."

"We like Bridgeport Senior Living-Port Cardiff Llc because it's an actual home environment and they've got a couple of caregivers for every three people. They're making sure mom gets up and gets out into the living room with everybody else or out of the kitchen when they're eating and stuff. They keep it very spotless there and it's just a pretty home. The outdoors is very beautiful. It's very pretty going there, on the front side and the back side. It's been too hot to sit out on the porch right now, but they've got pretty birds back there. The landscape is very pretty. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Amanda oversees the home and recently we had to have a mobile dental service come in and she tries to make sure she's there or is aware of what's going on. When I can't be there, I know that she tries to be there for those extra services. She had to have an in-house X-ray done and I happened to be there when they were doing that. They're very nice and very sweet people. We just moved mom from one side of the room to the other side and they went ahead and did that for us. They made sure that her bed was moved over and everything was moved over for her. They have bathrooms where they give them showers, a nice living room, and several reclining chairs so that the residents can sit in a nice chair while they're in the living room. It's like your normal house so it doesn't feel like you're in a hospital or something. I know they have a menu that they try to go by, but if they don't like the food, they try to accommodate what they like. I know they have served her oatmeal for breakfast, for instance, because they know she likes oatmeal. They have activities for them to get involved with, which is nice. They bring in people and Amanda has sent me pictures of my mom doing some of the activities. The price we pay is up there with the other bigger facilities, probably about the same, but she's getting more attention and they get to know each other in the home because it's on a smaller scale."

"I visited this facility when looking for Respite Care for my Dad while we were away. It is a lovely place and the staff is very welcoming. The residents seemed happy and engaged in activities. The staff interacts with the residents, taking a few minutes to just stop and talk to the residents as they see them around the facility. The rooms are very nice and they are nicely furnished for those seeking just a temporary stay. We ended up choosing this facility because the staff here went the extra mile to make my Dad feel welcome. They came to the house to visit Dad and got to know him on his own turf. They listened to him and planned for a buddy resident with similar interests to help ease Dad into his new environment. The staff here is very understanding and compassionate. "

"I was very impressed with Spring Hills Lake Mary. We had lunch there twice and the food was excellent. I liked the flexibility and the choices for what to eat. The place was designed such that most of the rooms faced an interior garden (which was really nice). There were lots of little alcoves along the hallways where there were clusters of chairs and little tables. They had a really nice arts and crafts room. They also had a lot of activities going on. The staff seemed really outstanding. They were so helpful and knew everybody by name. The residents all seemed very social and happy. It just had a really good ambience to it. This place smelled more like a home, which was good. They have a gym and a hair salon. They also have an office for home care, so that if one of the residents needs more help, they can pay somebody to come and help them. They seemed to be well setup for any medical issues that might arise. I really liked this place a lot."

"My sister is in Ambiance of Maitland. The facility itself is beautiful. It's brand new. It only has about three or four residents now. They are still working the kinks out. You can only have hot water when taking a shower or doing laundry on Mondays or Thursdays. The staff is very nice. They do not provide transportation to doctor's appointments, though on their website they said they provided transportation, but they said that was just meant for activities. I did have lunch with her a couple of weeks ago when I was there. It was a little bland for my liking, but I guess they have to please a lot of people, so that's understandable. Everything was fine."

"My husband moved into The Grove at Trelago. It's a beautiful place. The residents are well taken care of. They engage the residents. I don't worry about my husband wandering off anywhere because they're watched. The food is excellent. The care is excellent. I have absolutely nothing but praise for them. The staff members are very caring and good with the residents. They have gardens that they can walk through, but it's still confined. Outside their apartments, they have shadow boxes into which they can put memorabilia. It's very well done. The food is outstanding. They have pools, and it looks like a resort. They keep them busy with activities."

"I visited. They were very, very nice and friendly. The only thing is they didn't have all the extra amenities. They have outings and stuff like that. It was a very nice place. It just wasn't for my mom. I don't want to make them not be good because they may be good for somebody else. The staff was wonderful, just like we knew them for a while. They accommodated us because I couldn't make it during the day. What they did was they came back that night and accommodated us. We didn't get there until like 6:00 and we were supposed to be there at 5:00 because we got lost. They were accommodating. They didn't have an attitude about it. They were going through some renovations. They were updating everything."

"Palmetto Landing was clean. It did not smell bad, which was a big plus. The residents seemed to be very well taken care of. The staff were very friendly and seemed caring. It was a nice one-story facility, not too big and not too small. However, it was just a little over budget because my sister needs assistance with the bathroom and the shower, and that's what put it out of our price range, and also because they don't allow me to shower her. The rooms were a little older, but they seemed in good condition. The room I toured was the one you would share with a roommate, and it just looked like a large room with an en suite bathroom. For activities, they definitely have bingo and other arts and crafts. They have a huge piano and they apparently have some kind of music. There's a wheelchair accessible walk area inside the courtyard. The lady that I toured with was very nice. Unfortunately, the more experienced lady that I needed to speak with was not there on the Saturday that I went. The lady that toured me, I think was a backup person. She was experienced as far as the services they offered in the home, but she wasn't as adept at qualifying my sister becoming a resident here."

"We saw assisted living at Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, but the staff said they also have memory care. I liked everything. It was nice and clean. The rooms were private. I saw a studio apartment. I toured the dining area and the hallways. They had photos of retired military people. They have several retired military residents there. The person that showed me the place was very nice and answered any questions that I had. The dining area was spacious and clean. It was an elegant place. There was a beauty parlor/salon."

"I went to Madison at Oviedo. The room was very nice. I just didn't like the facility as much. It just felt kind of dark. It was much smaller, so I don't feel like they had the potential for the same amenities. The staff wasn't as knowledgeable, because it wasn't the sales associate that was helping, that I communicated with. But she was very nice and showed us around. I didn't like their outdoor area. It was all well-maintained, but it was just very small."

"My mom is in The Watermark at Vistawilla. The experience has been good, but I think they lacked a little bit in the activities department, for memory care specifically. I wish they did more activities, but ever since COVID happened it's been slow there, but otherwise I feel like my mom is really well cared for there, and they really like her. Her apartment is great, very spacious, and the staff there is great too, but they have a lot of turnover. The food is good too, they serve pretty good food, and my mom seems to like it. Structurally it's a very pretty, very comfortable place, with a large, open area for the residents to mingle, and where they can all be together."

"I had a very good visit. They had an enclosed outdoor area for the residents, a cafe patio, and they had more than one dining area, and I was impressed with that. They had a big rec area, they had a little chapel, and the rooms were really nice and spacious. They showed me a 1-bedroom, one was furnished, and one that's not furnished. The staff who gave me the tour was really great."
