"I live in Brookdale Altamonte Springs. They're taking good care of me, and there are a lot of good people here, and I've come to make some friends. They have a lot of activities, most of which I don't participate in. The ones that I do are on Sunday morning, there's a very good Protestant worship service. On Wednesday afternoon, there's a Catholic Eucharist service, which I also go to. I'm a retired pastor, and I'm leading a Bible study on Monday morning. The quality of the staff varies. Generally, they're good. Some are excellent, some are not so great. They offer many choices at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Usually, you can find something that meets your tastes and is good."

"We like Bridgeport Senior Living-Port Cardiff Llc because it's an actual home environment and they've got a couple of caregivers for every three people. They're making sure mom gets up and gets out into the living room with everybody else or out of the kitchen when they're eating and stuff. They keep it very spotless there and it's just a pretty home. The outdoors is very beautiful. It's very pretty going there, on the front side and the back side. It's been too hot to sit out on the porch right now, but they've got pretty birds back there. The landscape is very pretty. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Amanda oversees the home and recently we had to have a mobile dental service come in and she tries to make sure she's there or is aware of what's going on. When I can't be there, I know that she tries to be there for those extra services. She had to have an in-house X-ray done and I happened to be there when they were doing that. They're very nice and very sweet people. We just moved mom from one side of the room to the other side and they went ahead and did that for us. They made sure that her bed was moved over and everything was moved over for her. They have bathrooms where they give them showers, a nice living room, and several reclining chairs so that the residents can sit in a nice chair while they're in the living room. It's like your normal house so it doesn't feel like you're in a hospital or something. I know they have a menu that they try to go by, but if they don't like the food, they try to accommodate what they like. I know they have served her oatmeal for breakfast, for instance, because they know she likes oatmeal. They have activities for them to get involved with, which is nice. They bring in people and Amanda has sent me pictures of my mom doing some of the activities. The price we pay is up there with the other bigger facilities, probably about the same, but she's getting more attention and they get to know each other in the home because it's on a smaller scale."

"My husband moved into The Grove at Trelago. It's a beautiful place. The residents are well taken care of. They engage the residents. I don't worry about my husband wandering off anywhere because they're watched. The food is excellent. The care is excellent. I have absolutely nothing but praise for them. The staff members are very caring and good with the residents. They have gardens that they can walk through, but it's still confined. Outside their apartments, they have shadow boxes into which they can put memorabilia. It's very well done. The food is outstanding. They have pools, and it looks like a resort. They keep them busy with activities."

"My parents moved into Ansley Court of Maitland. It's a living facility. It's nice. The front desk is always very sweet when you come in. Right when you come in, there's usually a group of residents hanging out doing activities. They have an outdoor courtyard, which is nice. They also have physical therapy on site as well as medical staff. They provide three meals a day. They do their cleaning for the home, do their laundry, and do their bedding. They play games, like maybe bingo or board games. I know they have a piano there, and they do trivia. They have basic cafeteria food, hamburgers, pastas, and salads."

"I'm living in Sweet Water of Orlando. As far as the food, it's good. They had bingo, and entertainment. Music people come in. I've got a roommate. I have no negative vibrations. The place is very easily accessible. I have no problems with guests coming in. They can sit in the lounge, in the front there, near the entrance, in the kitchen, and we can talk. I can go out on the front porch, talk with my visitors. I can go out with my visitors. There's no real protocol for your activities, except for bingo or something. You have to meet in the dining room, just like most places are. But other than that, I don't really touch base. We have our medicine station that we go up to, and that works out pretty good. You just sit there and they know you by name. And when you sit down in the lounge, like I have a TV lounge right beside it, and you sit there and you get your medicine, and that's the end of that story. But it's very accessible. You got the bus line here. I can go out and catch the bus, or my friends can meet me there in the lounge here, and the lounge area, and I just go out. Yesterday I went to the mall and stuff like that, so I have a pretty good lifestyle here. I don't really have much contact with the staff here. There's people that come in at night and in the morning to be sure we're here, and be sure we're OK. As far as the kitchen, they can bring our meals to us. We sit down in the dining room and we have a coffee station out there. If we want anything special, we can come in a couple hours early, and they'll give us whatever we want as far as food."

"Chambrel was a really nice facility. I would compare them to where we live now. The only thing was that I think they're a little more expensive than normal. However, you do get what you pay for. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. They took us around and showed us several apartments. Surprisingly, when we went there, we had a very good lunch there. Their dining room was really nice with tablecloths and waitresses and waiters who took care of our needs. For sure I would recommend this place. "

"My name is Ms. Alba. My Mom is a resident in this community. I want to THANK EVERYONE for such a job well done in making sure "All Residents" are maintained at a safe and stable level in their health as well as safety. We ( The Family ) had an awesome time with Mom on Mother's Day, but Mom had too much to eat celebrating and her Glucose was too hi when the nurse at the facility checked her. The nurse on duty immediately called me to let me know and I was very pleased to see day in and day out that the staff really cares about their residents. I recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe, loving, caring, professional and passionate about our loved ones care in the future. "

"I visited Wayman Place. What was really wonderful is we got there just before they were getting ready to do lunch. They had some people in the area where they do the meals, and some of the staff were bringing some of the people who needed a little bit more help. Everybody was so happy and cheerful and they were calling out to people by name and just being very, very caring. The people seemed very happy. It also did not smell at all. Everything was nice, bright, and clean. Everyone that we ran into was so kind, courteous, and had a wonderful demeanor. You didn't see anybody who was cranky or unhappy whatsoever. The people who resided there looked so happy, the people who worked there looked so happy, and it was such a difference compared to some of the places that we had toured. I had a great interaction with the staff; a lot of personal caring from them and calling to check on my cousin to see how he's progressing. There was a lot of information maneuvering through this because it's not easy at all and nobody gives you the book with all the steps you have to do. They were able to tell me a lot of what to expect and what I needed to do. They were really very helpful to let me know what things I needed to look out for and how to be able to make the transition the best, and to be able to take care of my cousin the best for his benefit. Everybody was so wonderful. When there's genuine smile and care, you can see it in a person. The hallway was nice and wide. Each of the areas where each of the residents live was kind of unique to that person, so there was a little personalization. We took a tour to some of the different common areas and some of the things that they have available for the residents to do. Everything looked so nice. It was like you were in a really big, elegant home and not in an assisted living facility."

"My mother-in-law has moved into Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. The staff is friendly. It's neat and clean, and the patients look to be well cared for. Her room is a little bit tight when you're trying to get two people in there, but it's still adequate. It has its own bathroom, and the bathroom is wide enough to get a walker or a wheelchair in. They have amenities, too. They bring in a doctor for their medical appointments, they do nail and hair care, they take field trips, and they bring care animals in there. Value for money is good. We checked out another one and they had a sliding scale where if her care got more, the price went up, but with Brookdale, the price stays the same."

"I liked the rooms at Brookdale Lake Mary. They seemed spacious enough and the people who work there were really super nice. They have a lot of amenities. So, I would definitely be comfortable there I'm sure. They provide the meals and help with medications, like getting the medications delivered right there so I wouldn't have to go get them. They have a primary care physician that comes and visits you there, and a podiatrist. So, that's nice. I would not have to go outside. The facility was definitely very clean."

"I visited a family friend over the holidays and I must say the staff was the most pleasant staff I have ever encountered in an assisted living setting and believe me I visit at least 10 per week for my church. The residents all seem to be happy enjoying hot cocoa and singing carols. They even had residents from their memory care over on AL side singing. The staff and residents act as if they are one big family. If I had to move my parents this would be one of the places on the top of my list. I had the pleasure of staying for lunch and the cook Belinda really put out some of the best food I've ever seen in a facility I could eat a meal from her every day. Everything was just so clean and nice you couldn't ask for anything nicer for your parents. All I can say is Palmetto Landing keep up the awesome work."
