Adult Day Care Communities in Winter Park, FL

"My Mom has Alzheimer - and she does not use pampers yet. This is my 1st step in finding care for her. The place is absolutely clean, the staff is very friendly and their is a nurse on duty. The State pays part of it (go to Dept of Elder Care for help) and I pay the rest. Its reasonable compare to the cost of being home. I can drop her off before I go to work at 8:00 (open at 7am) and my daughter picks her grandma at 5:00 (closes at 5:30pm.). I highly recommend it, to anyway looking for a place that is clean/friendly/secured. Security is a must and the alarm goes off if anyone tries to sneak off. My Mom is one of those wanderers who try to get out for a walk. There is a area with a gazebo, golf put, butterfly garden for them to walk around that closed in. "

"The residents at Share the Care may play some games or have spa day and do their nails. They have a day when they let the residents help clip coupons. Sometimes they do painting projects. Every Thursday and every second Friday, someone plays the piano and sings hymns with the residents. They can also sit in their recliner chair and do whatever they feel like doing. They have 2 meals and are closed at 5:30. They make sure that their doors have little child protective covers on the door knobs so that they can't open the door and wander off. The people that are running the facility just seemed like they care. Everybody looked happy. "

"My mom is there 5 days a week and loves it, she has early stage dementia and she feels very comfortable there. The staff cares a lot about the seniors there. The place is very clean and cozy. They have lots of activities that have the seniors entertain. If you are looking for a great place for your senior this is the one."

"My mom is currently with hospice care at home and they just let me know yesterday that they had found her a bed in a nursing home. I have visited it. It is 5 minutes from my house, called Health Central Park. It is one of the top-rated nursing homes. It is a very nice place. I haven't put her there yet, but from all I have heard from others that had recommended it to me and from what I saw, I have no problems with her going there. I'm sure I'm going to be very happy. The staff was very helpful and very kind. They took me on a tour and showed me everything. They were very accommodating. I saw their dining area, and it was very nice. The whole place was very nice. I saw on their schedule board that they had a lot of good activities. They had a big variety of activities going on for anybody that is able to do them. "

"I visited the Deltona Senior Center after moving my mother to Florida to live with me. My mother has been diagnosis with dementia. I found the facility clean, easy to access and staff very helpful. They had a full schedule of programs for the elderly daily, and a special schedule for those with dementia. The Center also had someone on staff that was certified to work with people with dementia. "

"We use Stay For A Day for my mom. It is nice. I like it. All the workers are very nice, cheery, and very friendly. They do activities like exercises, arts and crafts, and coloring. They also feed them breakfast and lunch."
